It got so bad that every website I go to is blocked and tries to get me to buy Antivirus XP, which is actually a trojan. SpyBot detects almost 30,000 entries of Win32.Agent.cmn. I'm actually using Yahoo! Answers on my phone. I tried deleting these files from the source, but it keeps coming back. So I really can't use my own PC. If somebody could tell me how to fix this, please, I'll fan you, whatever. My plan is to save the important files onto a flash drive, and restore the computer, meaning I will put the computer to factory settings, deleting everything but what the computer started out with. I have noticed that everytime when I logon to the internet, the connection indicates that a lot of information is being received (from the connection status) even though the browsing is idle. OK, so awhile ago I got a virus, which my scanner couldn't find. I came here and asked about it, and got alot of help. I got rid of the virus, and was alot more careful. But now it seems to have happened again (I really don't know how I'm getting these viruses...). I went back to my old topic and none of the ideas work. I used Windows Live Onecare, Avast! anti-virus, and Ruguefix (or something like that), but to no avail. The virus isn't too bad, but its still annoying...well I'm pretty sure its a virus. Norton Security found Adware.NewWeb but could not delete it. Also Lavasoft Adware can't even find it to delete it and others inc. SpyBot Search and Destroy and PandaAnti-Virus can't get rid. Have tried deleting suspect file manually but it won't let me, saying that it is being used by another person or program and it also won't let me rename the file or do anything else with it for the same reason ie. the file is being used by another person or program. Obviously not another person, because it is not and hasn't been connected to the Internet for more than 6 months. I have also tried booting it up in safe mode with the same results. I have tried run- regedit - on the file with similar result the only difference being that immediately afterwards I ran Norton Antivirus again and it found a virus - Infostealer, that it hadn't on a number of previous runs over a long period of time - That seems a bit quirky - any relevance? After virus removal - I repeated everything - Still No goodI tried to run Norton again in Safe Mode and it wouldn't work - eventually got message 'a device attached to the system (I assume Norton) is not functioning'. I am a little nervous about doing anything else in regedit. more

So i turn on my pc and a little caution sign appears at the bottom saying i have a viruse. I know thats a lie becasue i scaned my pc several times already and i even bought Norton anti-viruses last night and it still appears. Next i open internet explorer, it stays open for about 6 seconds then closes itself on it's own. Meaning i can't go on the internet like normal people. However i am able to go on by restarting it in safe mode and by opening up the internet w/o add- ons. I do a complete scan w/Norton and finds a "tracking cookie". I delete it but it keeps coming back and it is titled "tracking cookie". I even installed adaware and it still doesn't work? Can somebody please tell me how to delete this for good!?? My last option is to call Dell, but i dont want to pay $120. Im pretty sure i got the spy ware from LimeWire, YES i learned my lesson, no need to explain about that. more

I keep getting nonstop popups telling me to download antispyware scanners also "avsystemcare" installs by itself on my computer i have tried these free spyware scanners : Ad-Ware, Spyware Terminator, AVG spyware on SAfe Mode I also tried a guide that someone recommended on yahoo of "smitfraudfix" on safe mode and that didn't work either! PLS HELP!!! i am wiling to go to the computer store to buy a good spyware/virus software... as long as it gets rid of these pesks! pls if u have experienced this problem before!! pls tell me what to do or what software will GET RID OF THESE PESTS!!
