Resolved Question: I think I have a Virus! PLEASE HELP!?

OK so, I have a Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 32bit operating system Anyway, I was on the internet yesterday, as usual and I clicked on this website, something popped up and I closed it, and then it suddenly started installing something and asking for permission. And I denied it. My computer started running really slow and I turned it off because it was so slow, it seemed unresponsive. Then I turned it on again in safe mode and installed panda anti-virus and did a full scan, it came up with all the "spyware" it had and deleted it. But the computer was still slow and Internet explorer does not work in normal mode, and the computer because slow and unresponsive a lot of times. I "system restored" my computer - system restore wasn't working in normal mode, I did this in safe mode. Then the computer seemed to work alright for a little bit, then I noticed that it was running slow again and the CPU usage was really high when I wasn't doing anything. I ran panda scan again, but it said no malware was found and that my system was clean, so I installed malware-bytes and ran a scan and it too said my system was clean. I'm on safe-mode(with network) now, because I can't access the internet on normal mode and also, the computer becomes extremely slow, the CPU usage seems to go high at times and Some programs and things won't open on the computer when it's not on safe mode. I think I have a virus, but why isn't the antivirus' picking it up? Why is my computer running slow all of a sudden, and why is there a high CPU usage when I'm not even running programs?(I found this out from task manager) Do I have a virus? I have: Zone alaram firewall (the free version) Panda Global protection 2010 (Free) - (which I installed yesterday, after I got "infected") Expired AVAST antivirus Malwarebytes (installed today, to scan) Please help me.... Resolved Question: HELP! Someone has been trying to get on my computer!?

A few days ago I got an antivirus software (Panda) because there was one section of security that my windows vista security didn't have. Anyway, since then I get daily alerts that a foreign IP address has been trying to get into my laptop (Wireless, I guess?). I select the option 'deny communication with intruder' and I'm assuming that means that it blocks the person from getting in...right? Anyway, just today I got an scam e-mail from paypal (I don't have paypal...) saying that someone has been logging into my account and that I should 'click here' to get my account back. When you click there, a website comes up (NOT paypal.com) and tries to get you to enter your credit card...and a bunch of other stuff as confirmation that it's you. Obviously it's a scam because I've never had a paypal account. I'm wondering if these 2 incidents are connected: -The scam e-mail -The person trying to get into my computer It worries me because I just got the panda anti-virus program a few days ago. I'm thinking that this person (or multiple people even) has been trying to get into my system for quite some time...and perhaps they've succeeded without my knowledge! I'm not a computer person and I'm wondering what I should do. I have 2 users (me and the guest), one has a password and one doesn't. Should I add a password to the guest user account? And, is that secure enough? Can I enable a password for my wireless? How do I do so? Thanks in advance! :DWell, I personally don't think I am. lol Really? I heard Panda was one of the best! Hi I have got HP Compaq laptop with windows Vista Home Edition installed on it.I cant go to any websites.It is showing Page can't be displayed error every time I am going to any website.I am connecting through wireless.Wireless link signal is excellent.It is taking windows updates,real player updates,logging on to Yahoo Messenger but could not getting on to internet.I tried repairing IP but it didn't work.I checked other laptop with same Wireless network.Its working fine.Even I have checked my HP laptop with wired connection.Windows updates,Real player Updated & yahoo messenger works on wired also but not going on to internet.This I checked with both static & dynamic IP.Also windows firewall is OFF.Also I disabled Panda Anti virus software.Plz tell me what the exact problem. more

Resolved Question: Help! i have a giagantic pc problem?

I have a serious problem on my pc (vista) i have two anti-viruses installed panda and AVG, and they are conflicting with each other. I tryed to remove them using the "add and remove" in control panel but they are not there. And i cannot delete them off the hard drive manually.Windows won't let me. What should i do and how can i delete them? There is another problem there is a pop up balloon at the bottom right of my screen saying "you have a security problem" how can i get rid of this? I have Internet Explorer 7 and Windows Vista Home Premium. After around 15 minutes of web browsing, the page appears informing me Internet Explorer cannot display the web page. The internet (BT WIFI) is connected and other programs can still connect. It will work again immediately after closing IE7 and then re-opening it. The connection diagnosis tool cannot find any problem with the connection I have Panda Anti-virus Platinum and the firewall is configured to allow internet explorer full internet access, and the system has no virus', spyware or adware. I had a very bad experience with Panda with my previous pc,it was just too heavy.Now i have a new pc with Vista premium but i had to delete the Norton trial version due to it's frequent petitions for repairs.Most of the time I have an x-like sign telling me Norton is not working and so I have to repair and the prob is that in most cases it doesnt allow me to 'repair' it.I deleted it and now I have got avast, home version which seems to be ok now.But do i need any anti spyware since my pc has got Windows defender? Can I trust avast with my brand-new pc? Im willing to buy the profesional version but can I trust it?If not then which the best antivirus and please I dont want any heavyweghts.I remember that after deleting Panda and installing avast on my previous pc , it was infected and the motherboard was destroyed and that explains why I am a bit skeptical about avast.Please I need advice. more

I need desperate help, I think I might have a form of spyware/adware/malware.
