Anti Review Software Virus Questions asked

Open Question: What anti-virus should i get?

I recently got a new computer with windows 7 (64 bit). I got a free trial for Norton internet security 2010 but that's about to expire, so what should I replace it with? I've heard there's a lot of free software thats really good but I don't mind paying a little bit if it makes a huge difference. I found some reviews and it seems like Bit Defender is the best (better than Norton) so i'm thinking of getting that but I want some advice. I'm just looking for one program to take care of everything, unlike on my old computer where i had about 5 different anti-virus's such as Avast and AVG which got really cluttered. more

Open Question: Which Anti-Virus protection should I buy?

I'm picking between The Shield Deluxe 2010 http://www.pcsecurityshield.com/lp/shield-deluxe-29.aspx?aid=wps777 and Vipre Anti-Virus + Anti-Spyware 2010 http://www.pcantivirusreviews.com/reviews/vipre_antivirus_software.html Shield Deluxe is cheaper and has the ability to postpone updates while gaming. However, Vipre is probably less resource hungry and includes spyware protection. Any input? Thanks more

Resolved Question: Cannot connect to internet/media disconnected state?

Ok. Well, my sister had been complaining about her internet not working and something being wrong with her account. I went on to check and all of a sudden this program comes up called security suite. I had not seen this on any account before and suspected it was a fake anti-virus software. I goggled it via my windows user account and found it to be so. I browsed the web some more for a way to erase this program as I had tried to find the files for it and load task manager to end process but to no success. I found positive reviews with some program called Malwarebytes and downloaded the program. I ran a quick scan (35 minutes in total...) and it located 75 infected files. I went through the log and checked with google to find that most of these, if not all, were the hidden files for security suite and removed them. I then restarted my computer as the program asked. All seemed good, no more viruses, no infected files and my computer appeared to be working perfectly normally. But, when i logged on her account to check if everything was fixed, she could not connect to the internet. She said she thinks she had this problem before the security suite problem, but she's not sure. I ran cmd and typed in 'ipconfig/ all' and it states that 'Media State: Media Disconnected' and 'DHCP Enabled: No'. Sorry for the long block of text, but i do not know how to fix this ): The solutions i have found so far i have not understood entirely, and i am a little afraid of doing something terribly wrong. If anyone can help me fix this (in fairly simple wording), it would be much appreciated. pretty please ):Yeah, i checked the cable. The internet on every account other than my sister's (the one that had the spyware that is now removed) is working.I removed it with malwarebytes but still, not internet connection on my sister's account. And yeah, the activity lights are present.Ahh, yes. I think I shall just create her a new windows account. Thank you for the help anyway. :3 more

Voting Question: How good is BitDefender as an anti virus software?

Voting Question: The Free AVG slows down the computer?

Fresh install of the winXP operating system, updated to SP3 added the Free AVG and suddenly performance is like stirring molasses in January. I have recycled a older eMachine T1090, but can not understand the performance hit with the newer version of AVG... This system is not a power unit, but it was quite zippy before installing the Free AVG IMaximum Memory512 MB 256 per socket Memory Comments PC100/PC133 SDRAM DIMMs CPU Type900MHz Intel Celeron Model Comments100MHz FSB, Intel 810 Chipset Trigem motherboard (Intel i810 Rev A3) Currently I know about these three free anti-virus software programs all of them have some form of nag screen. But what about performance hits in these older systems that should be recycled? Free AVG <--I have always used this, and suggested it to users that will never purchase a Anti-Virus Free Avast Free Avira Which anti-viral software provides the lightest footprint, to be used in these recycled older systems. Has anyone seen a review of these anti-viral software packages looking at the performance hits, and would you provide a link. JRMemory in this system is maxed, and this is a new install of the winXP O/S... Tis strange the system degrades so much after adding an anti-viral package. I downloaded CPUz, and the memory reporting is odd, showing DDR2 memory... I removed and cleaned the contacts and now I have good performance... Thanks for the suggestions it turned out to be a hardware problems rather than an anti-viral software problem... Panda's cloud based anti-viral needs a bit more work, before I would depend upon it for winXP or win7 protection... Again trying to thank everyone for the prompt suggestions... JR more

Resolved Question: What security software should I run in addition to anti-virus?

I'm cleaning up all my computers, reformatting and reinstalling, and would like to optimize protection at that point to prevent any kind of viruses, malware, spyware, etc from infecting my computer. I will be running Sophos Anti-Virus, software provided by the graduate program I am beginning, but wonder if I should run anything else as well. Back in my college days the friends I trusted to be intelligent/competent/common-sensical suggested running Ad-Aware too, but I have no idea if that is still ideal or not? 1.) Is Sophos Anti-Virus good software? I have no experience with it, and am having trouble finding recent reviews. Does anyone know anything about it? 2.) What other programs (prefer free, but would consider inexpensive options) should I have running in order to keep my computer running well? Thanks!Good point - I run windows (XP or 7 depending on the computer) Also, what about Immunet Protect 2.0? ( http://download.cnet.com/Immunet-Protect/3000-2239_4-10965674.html?tag=contentMain;contentBody ) Anyone have any experience with this? more

Resolved Question: Anybody know of a good (Preferably free) computer activity monitor program?

I'm looking for a program to put on a computer that will monitor what the computer does and logs it for me to review. I don't need to capture keystrokes or anything like that... I'm not trying to spy.I've formatted these machines multiple times, they both have Anti Virus and Firewall software, and within a month, they are both so overrun with spyware and/or viruses we need to start all over again.I'm just trying to figure out what sites persons X and Y keep visiting or programs they're downloading that are infecting their systems... so I can go back to them and say "See that fun little game you downloaded where you beat up Paris Hilton? That's what's causing your problems, quit doing that"They're both on Windows XP systemsAnybody know of such a thing? more

Resolved Question: Opinions on AVG 9.0 free edition?

The question said it, what do you think about AVG free anti virus software? I currently am using it and have been for sometime and haven't ran into any problems that I know of. Resolved Question: How good is Bitdefender software?

I recently downloaded Bit Defender internet-security suite 2010 onto my pc. I've heard only good things about it from reviews, but I don't know...I'd like to hear from the local community here about whether or not it's worth having on my computer. And if it's not too much more to ask, could you guys break it up into individual categories like Anti-virus strength, Firewall capability, etc. Thanks in advance guys! more

Resolved Question: Data lost after system restored?

My PC wouldn't boot up properly after some recent changes (an update to my AVG anti-virus was at least one of the changes I made the same evening). After restarting my PC wouldn't boot up properly. It would load Windows, but then hang. Usually I'd get background processes like the AVG updater popping up. I decided to do a System Restore. It couldn't find a restore point, so I went all the way back to the factory defaults. I'm sure I saw a screen that said 'no data will be lost'. The PC is now running fine. As expected, most of my software needed uploaded again, but I'm shocked at how many of my files have been lost! I've gone through a major project recently reviewing ALL my 15,000 or so photos, organising them, deleting duff ones, etc. ALL that work has been undone! The duff photos and old folders are back, but some folders are completely empty. I'm doing a Picasa scan from fresh to see how many photos it can find, but I'm amazed at what's been lost! Any thoughts please?? more

Resolved Question: Do you think I have removed the virus "Antivirus Soft" using BitDefender?

I accidentally let my anti-virus software lapse and today I suddenly had a horrible virus going by the name "Antivirus Soft" on my computer that kept me from opening any programs or downloading the new version of Trend Micro. I put my computer in safe mode and was able to stop the process and to keep it from starting when the computer boots. I decided to download BitDefender instead of Trend Micro because the reviews were better. However, I'm not sure how to tell if I removed the virus. All the sites I saw telling you how to remove it seemed to want you to download their programs and I couldn't find confirmation that BitDefender takes care of this "Antivirus Soft." Does anyone know for sure?Wiseman, you did not answer my question. you simply copy and pasted the same answer you give everyone. more

Resolved Question: Antivirus software...Internet security software...firewall?

So, I bought a brand new HP laptop computer in November and it came with some free trials. A 2-month trial for Bit defender Anti virus 2010 and a 2 month trial for Norton Internet security. Now it is time to renew but i would like to shop around and make sure that i really need some of the things offered and that my computer stays 100% protected. My problem...I have no idea what to buy, what not buy. I've looked at reviews but i really had no clue what i was looking at.LOL. I believe i need Anti virus but do i need the Internet security software? Do i need both? What software would you suggest? What the heck is a firewall and do I need one? Do i already have one? Blah, I don't know what to get and i don't want to get ripped off? Any help would be soooo greatly appreciated!! Thanks more

Resolved Question: How to 'permanently' remove Recycler Virus from USB/PC?

I've been looking everywhere on how to remove this, but there's a folder that keeps popping up on my USB drives called "Recycler". Inside it there's a folder named "S-1-5-21-1482476501-1644491937-682003330-1013" which holds an Autorun.inf and Recycler.exe. I've tried removing it several times, several different ways (command prompt, registry editor etc.). I've already re-installed windows, and no anti-virus/anti-spyware/anti-malware software detects it. This includes Malwarebytes, Superanti, Spybot, etc. I can temp remove it on a mac by deleting the files (one of them I have to unlock) but the folders won't allow me to delete them anymore (on a Mac at school, and it claims to need admin permissions to delete the folders, meanwhile it's my own USB drive). It seems to be eating up file space or something because whenever I delete any files, I still don't gain any space back. Not even to save a Jpeg, and I just removed two very large music files from one disc in particular. I think this thing may have been infecting my pc/usbs for a while, but only just now am I starting to see it. Last year it wouldn't allow me to click on my usb drives to open them. I had to right click > explore to access it at all. Another time they'd open in a new window even when I only clicked on them normally. I also read that a variant of the virus can cause some system files to be corrupted and restart shortly after booting up. My old machine did just that. I must've gotten it from a school computer or something, I don't do torrents or P2P, nor do I use Myspace (I think I closed my old account off a few years back). I've looked at autoruneater @ download.com (and other popular fixes) but the reviews for each one suggest they still don't remove the virus. I need something that's a surefire fix (just in case this computer is affected as much as the old one was). The 'not allowing me to add new files' thing got weirder. It shows me I have 1Gb free and 500Mb used, but I still can't save Jpegs to it on Macs. Can sort of do it on Windows though... more

Her computer is displaying pop ups, like buy anti virus 50$, than idk her computer is like 2 years old, and she never used a anti virus, when she tries to open the internet, a lot of weird ads come up, idk if she can get to a download site for a antivirus but she might be able to. She tried to download avg free, and got a error message with bombs of pop ups. Idk what to do. Resolved Question: Is it safe to be without any anti-virus software? Or any recommendations?

I have a laptop with a crummy processor, so I cannot spare much system resources. I tried out McAfee which spotted too many false positives of keygens and trainers, used way too much cpu and was a real pain to turn off when working with false positives. I liked the interface and effiency of Avast until it conflicted with a driver for my trackpad, which made the trackpad freeze for a few minutes when I tried to scroll (it's a known issue would you believe!). Then I tried out AVG after positive reviews and found this to be the worst of all. Hard to disable, used 40%! of CPU during a scheduled scan which took 4 hours and went bezerk with false positives - even deleting one of my trusted programs! After uninstalling all of these, I've realised that I've never once gotten a virus or really anything worse than a harmless tracing cookie. I've come to the conclusion that antivirus software is just a big bag of hurt and if I were to stupidly download a virus from limewire or a bittorrent network, I would easily recognise it. Or alternatively, does anyone know of a program like Avast - quick, easy to turn off, smart about false positives, good for budget CPUs and free of all the whistles and bells that accompany such packages as Norton, AVG and McAfee.I've already tried AVG Free and it was the worst of the ones I'd tried. I'm also quite web smart and know not to go onto dodgy websites. more

Resolved Question: Is DRM issue with BioShock on the PC really that bad?

I wanted to get it for my PC, but this amazon.com review freaked me out with the talk about un-deletable files. I would get it through Steam, but I want a hard copy of the game (a disc). It would be boring to list computer componenets, so I'll just say I have Windows Vista Ultimate Service Pack 2 32-bit. http://www.amazon.com/BioShock-pc/dp/B000MK694E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1249709161&sr=1-1 The review I read below: "UNDISPUTED FACT: BIOSHOCK will only install for a limited number of times (it was 3 but - after a deluge of eMails and bad reviews - it was upped to 5). So, if you install it you will be reluctant to uninstall once finished and will have to carry those 9GB on your HardDrive for a long time. On top of that, its resale value is down the drain the moment one pops the box open... Even after the patch that removed the activation limit, uninstalling still leaves behind certain irremovable folders that will make sure it can be re-established in the future. So one has to ask: even after paying $50 for it, WHO ACTUALLY OWNS MY COPY? UNDISPUTED FACT: The game utilizes an overzealous version of SecuROM 7+. They either activated all its available options or had a special version custom made. No other game company dared behaving in such heavy-handed way. This means that if your computer has more than one disc drive (or even one but non-DRM certified ones) it may block them, whereas the game may not even install if you are running virtual drives or have certain media-burning software installed (even NERO has been known to be considered ..."pirate-ware"!) DISPUTED FACT : It has been widely reported that BIOSHOCK installs a RootKit. Both MICROSOFT's ROOTKIT DETECTION TOOL and AVG ANTI-VIRUS detected either the RootKit or its actions. Recently, AVG was made to release a special update (just for BIOSHOCK) to ignore this alert. In hacker lingo, to "take someone's Root" means to insert a procedure that "will allow the intruders to maintain root access (highest privilege) on the system without the system administrator even seeing them". Official BIOSHOCK announcements (and their "unofficial" reviewers here at AMAZON) will try to persuade everyone who would listen that there is nothing there, so stop looking and don't even mention it. Understandable reaction since, the existence of a RootKit would be a solid basis for class-action litigation. Weight the facts and judge for yourself. UNDISPUTED FACT: BIOSHOCK effectively revokes our Administrator rights on our own computers. Here is what happens: even after completely uninstalling the game there is a mystery folder that canNOT be removed, no matter what! On WinXP it is located here: "C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\SecuRom" As administrators, we could (unwisely) delete even Windows System folders - yet BIOSHOCK's mystery folder apparently claims a higher authority level? What this folder does and why should it get placed into OUR computers so that we cannot remove it even as Administrators, is beyond me. And I, for one, do NOT appreciate it one bit. (A quick internet search revealed a number of suggestions on how to get rid of it, ranging from clearly unsafe to catastrophic...) True, almost every game leaves one or two folders behind after uninstalled - but this NEVER REVOKES OUR ADMINISTRATOR RIGHTS to delete them! I do understand that there are production and publishing costs to get recovered as well as profit projections to be reached. Companies that wish to protect their investment will always try to fight piracy. This is only reasonable and expected. However, with BIOSHOCK, as it is currently available by 2K GAMES, it gets WAY OUT OF HAND & WELL BEYOND RIDICULOUS!! " more

Resolved Question: What is the best antivirus software for Windows Vista?

I just got a new laptop and it has Windows Vista. With my old laptop (Windows XP), I've used Trend Micro Internet Security and it worked great. However, I've heard Trend Micro doesn't work too well with Windows Vista, so now I'm looking for another anti virus software. I've heard different opinions from different people, so it wouldn't hurt to hear more. Basically, what is the best anti virus software for Vista and why? If possible, give pros and cons. Right now, I've narrowed down to 3 choices: Trend Micro (because I've used it before with XP) , Norton (because it has received great reviews for the 2009 version, and Kaspersky (has been known to be reliable but expensive, but the 2009 version has been taking hits from users)SORRY I copied over the previous info. Underneath it is what I intended to "add".I just got a new laptop and it has Windows Vista. With my old laptop (Windows XP), I've used Trend Micro Internet Security and it worked great. I've heard different opinions from different people, so it wouldn't hurt to hear more. Basically, what is the best anti virus software for Vista and why? If possible, give pros and cons. Right now, I've narrowed down to 3 choices: Trend Micro (because I've used it before with XP) , Norton (because it has received great reviews for the 2009 version, and Kaspersky (has been known to be reliable but expensive, but the 2009 version has been taking hits from users) Also, does the type of anti virus software you use affect the laptop battery performance noticeably? I know some use more of the CPU memory which in turn uses more power, but is the difference great? Also, does the type of anti virus software you use affect the laptop battery performance noticeably? Resolved Question: Why is the computer still slower + weird after Kaspersky supposedly deleted a trojan?

Hi, I've never used any type of antiVirus or antiSpyware software before so I'm a newbie with this stuff. I stupidedly ran a bogus exe file last night and ended up with a Win32.Agent.cfqz. I also found jestertb.dll, sys1.dll and sys2.dll adwares on my computer. The trojan itself had programs crash frequently, make the computer slow like it was '95 again or something, and my dual second monitor that runs with a usb adapter goes black for 1-2 seconds randomly. Kaspersky said the trojan was in my Flock cache. So I first had it delete it and then wiped private data clean through Flock. Compared to the time the trojan was around, the computer is much better, but it's still worse than it was two days ago. In the two hours I've used the computer since the trojan has been gone, the screen has flickered twice. I've had this dual monitor for a month and it never flickered before so I'm positive the trojan or adware caused it. Also twice when I clicked on the start menu, it would freeze for 5 or 10 seconds. Flock also became real slow with 5 tabs relatively quickly...I usually have 10ish tabs on for a few hours before the RAM usage slows it down. What should I do? I've been looking on how to wipe all temporary files and internet files. Webroot Window Washer seems to have the best reviews but I thought I'd ask here before throwing down $20. Also should I have a second antispyware and antivirus software? I used the SUPERAntiSpyware free version and a paid copy of Kaspersky. I wouldn't mind spend around $25 or so for an antispyware software but I'd rather not buy a second anti-virus (I'm poor :P). Sorry if I wrote too much I'm just a bit annoyed right now, but seriously thanks to anyone who takes the time to help. Also I just noticed in the logs that Kaspersky automatically deleted a trojan downloader called Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Delf.fwe. Thanks again for any help. more

Resolved Question: what would be the best anti-virus software,I need suggestions?

My Norton Internert Security subscription will end up in 48 days, I have decided to dedicate some days to consider other anti-virus programs. Since I only have used this software from Norton, I lack the experience to compare it with the other programs in the market. And I don't know if I'm using a good program or are there better programs then the one I have(Norton).I have had it for two years, and I should recognize that it has intercepted 5 or 6 troyans in this period of time. However it slows down my computer when it's scanning in the background. I wouldn't care if it slows down my computer if it does the job to protect my system, although annoying, however if there are programs that do a good work on protecing my computer and at the same time they do not slow it down, that's what I would like to find out. I'll appreciate your input and suggestions good or bad, I'm sure if somebody has used Norton and other programs would be in a perfect position to shared those experiences, I'll analyse them carefully to determine if I'm Okay with Norton or if I would be better with other more reliable programs. I have searched online, but I have not concluded yet which is the appropiate anti-virus program for my computer, because some reviews rate Norton as a good program, some other reviews give Norton a very low rating. I'm certain that your valuable opinions would clearify my options when the day comes. Some important features in these programs would be: excellent protecion, the less possible compromise on the resources on the computer...I have windows vista home premium. Thank you for sharing your opinions. more

Resolved Question: Help with anti virus software please :)?

I'm currently using BitDefender 2008 (looked online last year and it seemed to have many positive reviews) but it's coming up to renewal time. Should I stick with BitDefender and get the 2009 software or should I look at changing to something else that may be better? And please do not recommend any free anti-virus software, i'm a great believer that you pay for what you get. I.e you pay nothing = you get nothing, so I would never use it. Call me an idiot etc but many free anti-virus software come with their own spyware so i want to stay well clear thanks :)To Expert Help: I just don't understand why, in this day and age, people would produce a completly free Anti-Virus software that anyone can use, that has no hidden spyware etc. When all other companies are profiting from it... more

Resolved Question: Good antivirus program?

okay, i need a good antivirus program that will ALSO help me to get less hacked of my personal information more often. to make a long story short, somone used my email and then used that peice of information to get my address (>.>), phone number, then signed up for something i didn't even sign up for! and they were trying to get me to confirm a credit card thingy, or something along that line, so i told them to cancel everything because it sounded suspicious. my mom was angry because she thought that since i used the computer so much, it was the reason i got hacked, or jacked... so basically i want to get a good antivirus program that will keep my computer safe and it was also about time i got a program that got rid of viruses. i googled a good antivirus program and found this. http://anti-virus-software-review.toptenreviews.com/kaspersky-software.html i like it but i have a few question: does thisprogram updates itself? or do i have to buy a new program everyyear from this manufacturer in order to keep my program up to date? is it good? more

Resolved Question: What is the difference between ZoneAlarm Anti Spyware and Internet Security?

Hey, What is the difference between ZoneAlarm Anti Spyware and ZoneAlarm Internet Security IN TERMS OF SPYWARE DETECTION AND DELETION? In this site, it lists and review the best software for specific genres (e.g. Anti Spyware, Anti Virus, Internet Suite) This one is the review for ZoneAlarm Spyware: http://anti-spyware-review.toptenreviews.com/zonealarm-anti-spyware-review.html And this is the review for ZoneAlarm Internet Security: http://internet-security-suite-review.toptenreviews.com/zonealarm-review.html The suite managed to be number 2 in the lists with the highest spyware detection but in the spyware standalone, it's in 6th place with pretty poor review. So what makes the suite any better from the standalone in terms of spyware detection and deletion? N.B I'm asking this because I'm planning to get a separate anit virus and a separate anti spyware. Thanks in advance... more

Resolved Question: Can someone advise me on this network setup?

As storage is my main emphasis in this network (I plan to have 2 Terabytes of data total and I would like to have a backed up copy of this size as well). I have decided to go with the following configuration but just want to see about good recommendations. I haven't bought any of my products yet but here is my idea of a small business network for 5 people with 2 printers, 1 scanner, 3 desktops, 2 laptops: modem--> wireless router --> switch --> pc's, printers, server, scanner, wireless access point My products are as follows: Router- Belkin N+ $100 http://reviews.cnet.com/routers/belkin-n... I will also be using cat 5 wiring, Kaspersky Anti-virus, and I am thinking about using either Microsoft Ftp publishing (comes with Windows Server 08) for file transferring and maybe Filezilla or WinSCP for remote access The odd thing is that my main software program (EClinical Works) specs a minimum of: Quadcore Xeon 1.4 Ghz, Windows Server 2003/2008, 4GB of memory, at least 16GB (OS) + 30GB (Data) But the oddest thing is that they say the server with this EClinical software shouldn’t run an active directory, RAS, and/or terminal service. Will I need two servers because the one with my software on it doesn’t want an active directory run on it? I’m also a little confused about how the file sharing will work with the Network Attached Storage device, does Windows Server have something in it to implement this? Also from a security standpoint what would I need to address in Windows if I have a NAS, will Windows file sharing be secure between the users/server/clients? My point with the NAS was to save money and separate the data from the server processor (only OS+apps)…also the cheapest servers on Dell have about a 2.4GHZ processor and a 160GB hardrive for about 1600….would buying a nice desktop and putting Windows Server 2008 on it be a better option?? I looked on cnet.com and certainly found that the Buffalo Terastation Home Server NAS (2TB) is my best option...but its uses mirroring and spanning instead of RAID and its write performance is slow due to its RAID 5 configuration. Should I be concerned? The biggest point is that I want my system to be low maintenance, easy to setup, and my switch to be un-managed (aka no IT expert needs to be around to configure the ports…etc)I've heard that the remote device can be a security issue....but I've looked around and it seems difficult to find a server (such as from dell or HP) that has 2 Terabytes of redundant (RAID 1) hard drive space. Also how much onboard memory would I need to have on one server that would someday have 2 Terabytes of memory...wouldn't that be really expensive? I also thought separating the data from the OS+apps would result in better performance and a server that is easier to manage and the server wouldn't have to cache data storage. The NAS emulates a windows share (CIFS). Also I will contact the software company about the active directory thing because I don't want to have to buy two servers that ridiculous. more

Resolved Question: I think I have a virus?

I think my computer has been infected by a virus. I've used a file sharing website for streaming television and I've heard you can get certain viruses this way. If I use IE as my browser, the page I open to says: Insecure Internet activity. Threat of virus attack Due to insecure Internet browsing your PC can easily get infected with viruses, worms and trojans without your knowledge, and that can lead to system slowdown, freezes and crashes. Also insecure Internet activity can result in revealing your personal information. To get full advanced real-time protection for PC and Internet activity, register your antivirus software. We recommend you to protect your PC now and continue safe Internet browsing. Click here to get full advanced real-time protection and continue browsing. Continue to this website unprotected (not recommended). When I click the option to get protection, this page opens: http://www.defender-reviews.com/?a=111 I know that "Perfect Defender" is a scam. Also, whenever I try to go to certain other sites, such as Yahoo, IE suddenly closes. Plus, a popup keeps appearing telling me that I am infected with Win32.Zafi.B. I suspect this is fake as well. I clicked on the protection button and it opened the "defender reviews" page. However, I couldn't see the content because my browser closed because of this virus (this time it was Google Chrome.) I've downloaded Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and so far it's found 2 infected objects, which I deleted. These popups and problems with IE still continue though. Any suggestions on what I should do? more
