Hello. I'm having constant daily problems with my browser, any browser as I have 3 installed on my laptop. After about an hour and a half or so, I go to click on my web page, or open a new browser tap, and the page won't open and the browser just locks up. I can do anything else on the computer, and even continue chatting on yahoo messenger, no problem. But the browser just goes into retirement. Mostly I use Google Chrome where the wee revolving circle (to the right) indicates the tab is opening, but when it locks up the circle just revolves slowly to the left and if I try to close the browser with the white cross, red square I have to do so lots of times before the thing will close. The only way to resolve the problem I've found is to reboot the laptop then it's fine again for another few hours. Very weird. In case it's of any consequence I have Zone Alarm free edition firewall, Avast free edition anti-virus, I run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Spy-bot Search and Destroy for spy-ware but not running at the time. Anything else you want to know just ask. There seems to be no pattern to what I'm doing at the time. Any advice appreciated. Thank you. I had AVG free version 8.5 & it was functioning well, I had no issues at all. Until I bought the paid version of the ANTI-VIRUS & ANTI-SPY-WARE kit at Target and tried to remove the old one. I ran the uninstaller from the control panel, did the restart (the whole 9 yards) & then tried to install the new product. It kept saying that installation failed. Now I still see AVG on my start menu, the short cut is still on my desktop and I can still find it in my list of programs in the control panel. I can neither uninstall the old one, or install the new one. I have a couple of the more popular free versions on my mini machine I use most of the time for internet browsing. Over the last few weeks the machine has slowed to the point where at times its totally frozen. I have not added any applications in that time. So I ran a full scan on my computer and there were like 4 Trojans virus. Then about 16 bloodhound threats. I haven't use my computer until less than two months ago. Before that, my computer neverr had any viruses or spy bots, it was always squeaky clean. Plus I use fire fox, I'm still a little confused about bloodhound, I heard it was a "method" to detecting viruses. After it was quarantined by Symantec Anti-virus I permanently deleted them just to be safe. The first scan took 65 mintues, then I decided to scan it again which took 40 minutes, but there were no viruses at all. How big of a possibility could there still be viruses in my computer? I'm planning to do another full scan later using free AVG 8.5 more

recently a so called mate came round my house and as i was out of the room he started doing something on my pc, when i came back i realized it was a switchblade 2.0 and he had stole all my passwords and history on the DUMP, i deleted the dump of his switchblade so he didn't have anything ( or does he because i only deleted the dump) anyway now i have read up on it and certain topics say that a usb switchblade 2.0 opens a back door( what is this) and a ghost admin account which could contain a key logger. can someone tell my why for the first time in 6 years my computer is getting raped by pop up ads, ones taking my full screen' no matter what web page i open, even yahoo had pop-ups and i already set my pop-up blockers to the highest they can get, i even turned all cookies off. never the less the things still appear. i am even getting pop-ups when i close Firefox. hell i haven't opened internet explorer in 2 years and its giving me pop-ups now. i even went into it and disconnected internet explorer from the internet but the pop-ups still come through. it just started happening like 24 hours ago-ish when i put my computer into sleep mode. also as a side-note i just re-installed my internet provider's (roadrunner high-speed) free ca anti virus, a great anti virus/spy ware/firewall, and its not helping with this problem. i ran the virus/spy ware scans to no avail. still pop-ups on ever page i go to. there are even multiple when i play a video.... i just need to find the cause of this, any suggestions? more

OK first i have no clue what the problem could be because ive never had something like this happen before... my personal guess is either my CPU, Video Card, or Mother Board are faulty. Ive had this computer for about a year now and up till about 3months ago i could play games just fine with high settings and everything without having any lag issues server side or computer side. But starting 3 months ago a slight lag started appearing (from what ive counted) every 3 seconds but it doesn't just lag the graphics it also lags the audio. Ive done spy ware, anti-virus, and enamelware scans along with fragmenting my hard drive and registry. Ive updated all of my drivers and i've also tried about 4 different games with several settings ranging from High to as Low as possible to see if it might be a problem with one specific game or setting and still no luck. If anyone knows of a free program in which i could record it happening please feel free to put up a link because i think the problem really needs to be seen to really understand what im trying to say.
