Anti Flag Questions asked

Open Question: How to disable Windows 7 backup warnings?

I am using Norton 360 to manage my backups. Windows 7 keeps putting up a white flag asking me to check my backup settings. I do not want Windows 7 to manage my backups. I thought Norton 360 would tell Windows that it's managing the backup just as it's managing the firewall and anti-virus. How can I stop the white flag from warning me about this? Thanks Cassandra! I was able to stop my automatic backups there and then was able to stop notifications about the backups in the Action Center by right clicking on the white flag. The white flag is still sitting there in my system tray even though there are no issues and I wish that it would only appear when there is a problem. That's the entire reason I began down this course of getting rid of the backup warning. Hm... more

Resolved Question: If liberals claim to love America more than republicans?

then why have there been so many American flags burned during liberal protests, primarily during anti-war protests? Is burning your countries flag a new way of showing your patriotism? Please spare yourself the embarrassment of asking for a source, we all know it goes on, and just answer the question.Yes, I said an American flag is burned during every single liberal protest ever held. Why don't you try actually reading and answering the question next time instead of instantly getting defensive. more

Open Question: Why do liberals hate conservative values?

Political scientist Dr. Lawrence Britt recently wrote an article about fascism ("Fascism Anyone?," Free Inquiry, Spring 2003, page 20). Studying the fascist regimes of Hitler (Germany), Mussolini (Italy), Franco (Spain), Suharto (Indonesia), and Pinochet (Chile), Dr. Britt found they all had 14 elements in common. He calls these the identifying characteristics of fascism. The excerpt is in accordance with the magazine's policy. The 14 characteristics are: 1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays. 2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc. 3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial , ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc. 4. Supremacy of the Military Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized. 5. Rampant Sexism The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Opposition to abortion is high, as is homophobia and anti-gay legislation and national policy. 6. Controlled Mass Media Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common. 7. Obsession with National Security Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses. 8. Religion and Government are Intertwined Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government's policies or actions. 9. Corporate Power is Protected The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite. 10. Labor Power is Suppressed Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed . 11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts is openly attacked, and governments often refuse to fund the arts. 12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations. 13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders. 14. Fraudulent Elections Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections. Copyright © 2003 Free Inquiry magazine Reprinted for Fair Use Only.If liberals would had mind their business, Hitler would had done to Africa, what we did to native Americans. Wipe them out. And we would had so much more land in the hands of the white race. These 14 conservative values is what has lead to the Great U.S.A. more

Resolved Question: Am I what is called a Neocon?

I asked this once before but I didn't get a very clear answer. -I am Christian. -I support what we did in Iraq. -I support what we're doing in Afghanistan. -I am Pro-Life. -I am against affirmative action. -I am pro racial profiling. -I believe in small government but a powerful military. -I am against gay marriage. -I do not believe that America is an imperialist/terrorist nation. -I am very much for border security and temporarily stopping immigration. -I think we are at absolutely no moral fault for 9/11 (just that we needed better security). -I read Michelle Malkin's blog. -I don't think the confederate flag is racist, just as I don't think the Lincoln memorial is anti-southern. -I am in favor of an anti-flag burning amendment. -I want to join the USAF and serve. -I am very Pro-gun. -I have somewhat mixed feelings on the war on drugs. -I am a white male. -I do not have any problem with a female or minority being the president. -Last but not least, I love my country, and freedom isn't free. Do I sound like what you would call a neoconservative?I am not asking for whether or not you agree with me, I am merely asking whether I would be considered a neoconservative or not, thanks. Resolved Question: Republicans, if you ever took complete power of government(100% executive, legislative, judicial branch)?

Would you think it to be fair to give us minorities, and liberals a chance to leave. Or would just kill us off on the spot, and experiment on us. Resolved Question: Download a text file (DLL, EXE)?

I am working in BASIC, trying to download a file, and I have tried using URLMON, but it caches the file, and continues to repeat that file for about 10 seconds. (eg, the text file on the server reads "Hi", it downloads that, and keeps it for about 10 seconds even if the file on the server has changed to "Hello") The file needs to be able to be accessed as many times as possible, as fast as possible. Since URLMON caches the file, it just repeats it, it doesn't give the newly updated file to the program. I have used a VBS to do it, but cscript continued to mess up, and it's not very efficient, and some anti-viruses flag it as a trojan. Does anyone have any ideas on what I should turn to instead? Thanks. Also, I can check the file on the server myself, and see it has changed, but the program doesn't see that. more

Resolved Question: Battle of R&P's favorite bands?

In some genres I used a band more than once, that's why some of the bands aren't up against anyone so just ignore them. I tried to match the bands up as best as I could. The bands at the bottom of the lists are the ones left over from pairing the others up so they mightn't be very compatible. I love the majority of Dead Kennedys music, I love the Descendents, I love the Buzzcocks, I love The Ramones, and I love The Misfits. Television are pretty awesome too. Black Flag are good too. X are pretty awesome too. But I'm looking for some more underground stuff. Please don't say modern things like The Bouncing Souls or Anti-Flag. I love that stuff too, but good music among that genre is easier to come by. more

Resolved Question: American citizens, what is your opinion on this?

Illegal alien lawsuits continue to clog the courts in California February 9, 9:27 AM Well-funded illegal alien activists in Southern California have found a new way to attack Americans fighting for secure borders and enforcement of current immigration laws. The fight has moved from the streets where they wave the their Mexican flag to America's civil courtrooms. “Allow me to understand this correctly. Illegal aliens, people who have committed a crime by entering this country illegally, and who continue to commit additional crimes by using counterfeit documents to project a status they are not entitled to, are suing cities and citizens for "disrupting their RIGHT to work in the US, even though they have no such right? If any immigrant "rights" organization or other advocacy group is responsible for the filing of such suits, either directly or indirectly, they should be counter claimed against for abuse of process and malicious prosecution. It's time for the good citizens of this country to fight back through the courts,” said retired ICE Agent John Sampson who now runs CSI Consulting and Investigations. The beef about an upcoming lawsuit in San Diego against Jeff Schwilk, founder of the San Diego Minutemen, stems from a violent attack on Los Angeles anti-illegal immigration activist John Monti in November 2006 at the Rancho Penasquitos day-labor site in San Diego. “Controversial San Diego attorney Daniel Gilleon was hired by La Raza operatives more than three years ago to go after San Diego Minutemen and other pro-security activists,” says Schwilk. Monti had gone to the infamous makeshift hiring site to photograph the day laborers and the law-breaking employers hiring illegal workers. “It is still a felony to hire illegal aliens in the U.S. and studies have shown that almost all day laborers are illegal aliens from Latin America, Schwilk explains. While photographing the street-side hiring process, Monti was suddenly jumped from behind by at least seven Hispanic men. “They punched him, tried to steal his professional camera, and pushed him into the busy boulevard. Several passersby’s witnessed the attack and called 911. When police arrived two minutes later, they found a bloody and shaken Mr. Monti,” witnesses reported. Once the police were called to the scene, all of the attackers had made a run for it. Luckily, Monti photographed many of the laborers prior to the attack and was able to show San Diego Police Department. The next day the victim, Monti, sent the same pictures via email to local San Diego activists so they could call the police if the suspects returned to the day labor site where they usually look for employment every day. At this point Schwilk received the pictures and forwarded them to his local law enforcement contacts and other concerned residents in the area. Their claim was defendants were disseminating pictures of the suspects with Monti's statement and pointed out that they were wanted for questioning by SDPD regarding day-labor site scuffle. The flyer indicated if anyone had any information about the incident to phone the police. Police records show the suspects were being sought for questioning and most of them were eventually found and questioned. No charges against the suspects were ever filed, as they all, not surprisingly, claimed that Monti attacked them first. According to Schwilk, local illegal alien activists were seen speaking with the suspects soon after the attacks. “Witnesses who saw Monti being attacked and beaten were ignored by investigators and the city attorney, who were under extreme pressure from the so-called ‘Mexican mafia’ to protect the suspects (most of them Mexican citizens) from prosecution,” Schwilk contends. Fox News' and Monti's lawsuits were eventually dismissed or settled, but Schwilk demanded a trial to prove that this was just another unfounded, frivolous lawsuit and malicious prosecution meant to harass and silence those who oppose illegal immigration. This defamation suit also accuses Schwilk of putting up Monti's "wanted posters" in the area around the day labor site - a charge Schwilk denies. Schwilk and a few other concerned citizens did use Monti's pictures to identify two of the suspects standing at the sidewalk hiring area three days after the attack. "When we saw two of the suspects back at their sidewalk loitering area, we immediately called SDPD. The lead detective of the nearby division came to the scene and explained to us that they had already questioned and released those two men and that an arrest had been made," Schwilk said. “The officers refused to elaborate further, but they told us they were fully investigating the assault on Monti and hoped to bring all of the guilty day laborers to justice.” The lead attorney in this so-called lawsuit is Dan Gilleon. In emails from Gilleon obtained by the Examiner, Gilleon repeatedly seems to be asking Schwilk to settle the case over the past year. In the most recent email senIn the most recent email sent on Feb. 6, Gilleon again offers to Schwilk, "If you want to settle, we'll take $1,000 for each plaintiff, cash now, or $10,000 each in stipulated judgments." Schwilk has repeatedly told the plaintiff’s attorney Gilleon that he has no intention of settling this case because he is the victim not the other way around. In addition to last minute attempts to avoid taking this case to trial, Gilleon failed to depose Schwilk for 2 1/2 years and recently convinced the judge to allow a last-minute deposition just days before the trial is set to commence. In a voicemail message from Gilleon, he declined to comment on this pending case. However he claims there is a new lawsuit pending against Schwilk. However, court records show no new lawsuits have been filed. Schwilk, who is now defending himself, says he strongly opposes a deposition at this late date because he believes Gilleon lied to the judge about trying to depose him in October. more

Resolved Question: Burning the American Flag is the freedom of speech?!?

How can you possibly be against an anti-flag burning amendment? This is just like crying fire in a crowded theater! Do you really think our founding fathers would have approved of people burning the American Flag to protest?@Idoni "Because the flag still stands for freedom, and they can't take that away..." Regardless of the path America is on, burning the flag is on protest is a treasonous thing to do.@UpUrass Thank you very much for serving our country, it is more than we can ever repay. However, I must respectfully disagree with you that they have a constitutional right to dishonor your selfless service.@Yummy People like you are despicable. Resolved Question: Your opinion on this please! From the one who thinks Bayliner is the anti-christ of boating. lol?

It is true... I am under the opinion that Bayliner boats are the absolute poorest quality boats ever made. However, I will give credit to Bayliner for their previous success even though they just filed bankruptcy. I understand, and can chalk that up to the hard financial times. Bayliner's original Corporate mission, was to build the most inexpensive boat on the market - and I truly believe they succeeded beyond even their own wildest dreams. I confess, there is (obviously) a market for a Bayliner - and that of course is the brand new, first time boat owner. That is their stated market. They are good (if not the very best) at selling to this market. I give them all the credit in the world for their "business" savey. However, for 42 years - I have been blessed - able to spend the majority of my time on the water, sailing, cruising, and at one Marina or the other. I can tell you without exception, Bayliner's have: 1. the worst (non-collision with anything but water) damage, 2. the most boats, most often, in repair shops, 3. the absolute fastest "new" boats to look very old, 4. and the fastest destruction of seats, flooring, transoms, paint, upholstery, vinyl, metal, etc. caused by "nature" (ie: sun, water, mildew, rot, cracking, and normal wear and tear etc.) I am the first to raise the flag of encouragement for the boating life and lifestyle to anyone and everyone. But... I just cringe, when I see some innocent, unsuspecting, first time boat owner spend good money for a Bayliner. Furthermore... I have never known a first time boat owner with a Bayliner to ever buy another Bayliner... And while I am sure there are exceptions (by Bayliner's own admission) 2nd time boat buyers that buy Bayliners are a rare occurance - even when their 1st boat was a Bayliner. I believe this speaks "Volumes" regarding the owner's satisfaction with the boat. Same goes with "Marine Surveys" and buying "Cheap anything" that is critical to the operation of your boat... expecially, an off shore, ocean capable vessel... My son and I are always telling people to "Get that Marine Survery" and inevitably, we are the first ones they call for help - when they didn't. So... bring it on... If you want to eat my lunch, or if you want to add your "Bayliner" experience or opinion... it's all welcome - I'll do the best I can (agree with me or not) to give the points to the best reply... more

Resolved Question: Where do law and freedom meet?

A Man was given an Asbo for the dressing as a schoolgirl. Now if he was wearing a kilt it would be a different matter. Is it anti-social to wear a certain type of clothing? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/7188738/Man-breached-Asbo-by-dressing-as-a-schoolgirl.html As a father of 3 girls I have mixed feelings on this one. Voting Question: What did you jam to when you were a kiddo?

I'm still very much a 16 yr old kid, but back in elementary school, Bad Religion & anti-flag were my jams! I would sing their songs, even though i didn't know what the hell they were talkin about. I never got into what my peers were into like green day & britany spears which is probably why they thought i was kinda weird. Sad thing is that i pretended to stop liking those bands to be accepted!!! Ya can't blame me, 3rd graders can be cruel! But i couldn't stand the "cool" stuff so i reverted back to my old ways. Now i dont really listen ti BR or anti-flag anymore. I dont know why. I really should though. You know what, i think im gonna pop in a Bad Religion CD right naw. yay! I think i got into a tangent & a little off topic in my little rant. Sorry! Anyways, the question is What did you listen to as a kid? more

I'm not talking about people who post racist videos but about the people who run youtube:They are not only tolerate the racists but also ecourage them and advertise their videos by making their racist videos "featured".In many of these videos the flag button doesnt even work. Many anti-racist videos are deleted fast. Also, youtube likes to promote hateful and racist videos against particular nations(they even make them "Featured videos". Resolved Question: According the Christian Belief, what are Ladyboys and who should they marry?

I have a question for Christians. Anyone giving a mean spirited or anti-Christian response will be flagged. When it comes to men who are born with, or somehow develop the belief that they are really women - what is the deal? Taking into account that some of these people are VERY feminine, as much or moreso than a lot of women born as women. And also that in the same way some people are born with certain deformities or defects, isn't it possible that a woman can be born in a man in some sense? So the big questions are 1. Are they sinning by living as women? 2. If not, or even if so, is it still lawful for them to marry women, or men? more

Resolved Question: Why do these sound so much like conservative views?

Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.@Reyna I know they will. But at least they know they are fascist too. more

Resolved Question: Do you think we should have a holocaust memorial day for Gaza?

Or perhaps Darfur and other countless places around the world suffering from racial extermination? No one can deny that the Nazi war crimes were beyond comprehension. I was in school and cringed when we were shown videos in our history classes and learned about Nazi inhumanity. I was even more sad that ironically the victims of the holocaust have given birth to greater war criminals then the Nazis then themselves. Yes many might flag this question but i think no human being deviod of human nature can deny that the Gaza strip is no different then the Lodz ghetto of 1943. With people caged inside completely cut off from the outside world. I mean the Nazis too used the excuse of "resistance" to massacre millions of Poles during the Warsaw uprising. The Nazis too used the execuse of "resistance" to trap people in the ghetto and carry out ruthless killings all over Europe, E.g Baba Yar ravine, Novi Sad (Serbia) The Israelis are using the excuse of a few flimsy rockets to murder. Yes i will not mince words, "murdered" 1000's of Palestinians in a similiar fashion to the Luftwaffe attacks on Rotterdam and London. Or does international press and politics always avoid us from speaking the truth? Or do the lives of TWENTY million Russians, or perhaps millions of people Darfur do not matter no more to us? Resolved Question: Should he be removed from office at once Calif. councilman 'proud racist' remark at immigration rally?

A Southern California councilman is attracting attention and drawing some fire for declaring at an anti-immigration rally that he is "a proud racist" if that means believing that the United States should have only one flag and one language, the Los Angeles Daily News reports. In a long article posted yesterday (and flagged by memorandum), the paper writes that Santa Clarita Councilman Bob Kellar "stood by his remarks" at the Jan. 16 rally, saying they "reflected his frustration with illegal immigration, but weren't intended to express animosity against nonwhites." "It doesn't mean I'm going to saddle up the horses at midnight," said Kellar, who has served the city north of Los Angeles for 10 years. The rally was posted on YouTube in several parts.
