Open Question: 1988 Ford Taurus coolant line burst, "fixed" it, but won't start?
I don't even know how it happened, but we were driving down the road, then stopped and all of a sudden the car was smoking. A LOT of anti freeze came out, and it was steaming really bad. I tried driving it, and made it about 5 more miles, but the steaming got so bad that it was coming in through the air vents and wasn't safe to drive any longer. We replaced the radiator hose that burst, but when we tried to start the car after it was replace, the engine didn't turn over and all it did was make a clicking noise. The oil light in the car was on, and all the lights in the car worked fine... I don't think it was the battery. Any information would help alot!!!!!!! so please help moreResolved Question: How common is the bogus medical/health research study?
At an Asian American church I visited the other day, a group of people from UCLA were there to conduct study to "learn more about current knowledge and beliefs related to behaviors that may decrease risk of developing cancer" and "about how providing education... affects ...knowledge and behavior." I would not have questioned the legitimacy of this so-called "research" study if there were no available information on knowledge and beliefs concerning cancer among Asian Americans. However, there have been numerous studies on the same subject. As for the benefit of intervention education, few people will raise doubt. In spite of its dubious, illogical, and anti-intellectual nature, this "research" study has been approved by UCLA and currently funded by the NIH and the NCI all at public expense. Squandering our tax money only to reiterate the findings of previous studies in different wording I believe reflects a serious flaw in the existing system. I remember reading another bogus study on the adverse physical effect of smoking almost half a century after such notion was established as medical consensus. Just how common is the bogus research study in America? moreResolved Question: How bad are cigarettes for you REALLY?
Yes, I smoke. Not heavy in the slightest. And I honestly have no intent to quit anytime soon. But I keep seeing different information about cigarettes. Some claimers and some disclaimers. Like I've heard a lot of weird ass things that are in cigarettes. But I also have heard that half the crap they claim to be in cigarettes (they meaning anti-smoking companies) isn't true. I know that smoking is potentially bad for you. I'm not denying that in the slightest. I just don't think it's as much as a threat as they claim it to be. Kinda like they always tell you that weed is horrible but in actuality it isn't as bad as they say it is. PS- no "stop smoking" shit, that's honestly annoying PSS- the reason why most teenagers smoke is rebellion, duh, and the more information you try to shove down our throats about cigarettes, the more we want to do it, because we KNOW it's bad moreResolved Question: Cannabis is not physically addicive?.. (DISAGREE)?
Hello people, i have browsed this site for a long time and decided that i would create a post to try and warn young users of this drug so they can make an educated decision without reading generally most posts nowadays stating that cannabis is really not harmful. Well to explain a little of my experience, i have been smoking through late adolescence after trying it in school (at which point friends were convincing me that the drug is NOT addictive). I have been smoking pure cannabis without tobacco now for about 4 years starting in the morning and continuing to smoke all through the day. I know many people who are experiencing similar PHYSICAL symptoms to me as soon as i start to withdraw from cannabis including constant vomiting, night sweats, panic attacks and no appetite. Now to all of the people creating posts (which are probably being read by children all over the world thinking of trying the drug) saying that cannabis only holds a mental addiction and nothing physical.. well that is what people have had me believe for years until the physical signs started showing. These symptoms only happen if i do not smoke in the morning, if i don't wake and smoke first thing then i will start to get pains in the stomach followed by vomiting. My main anger about this subject comes from how much my life has declined since the physical symptoms of cannabis started showing. Like i say, my life is always fine when i'm not smoking marijuana and i have no symptoms. I have many friends and close family who agree that it is not right that children are being fed questionable information about cannabis being a 'safer' option of drug and although i'm sure it is categorized as safer because people believe there are no physical withdrawal symptoms. Well i have lived with people and know people who have very similar symptoms to me with cannabis and say they experience PHYSICAL withdrawal such as vomiting, diarrhea, shaking and panic attacks. Now people may say the mind could be responsible for creating all these symptoms, such as the flight/fight response which can lead onto nausea and vomiting, which could be true, but as a staunch 'legalize cannabis' member of the society, i have recently begun to rethink about this drug and i now know that i would hate to think that more children would develop the kind of symptoms i now have and it may have been due to the fact i took my first puff at 14 and am a constant smoker at 21 so my brain has developed with cannabis and is used to the drug being in my system. When the drug is not there, i am PHYSICALLY ill until i have my first smoke at which time all is better again. Generally, my aim is to educate young users here that the brain is not to be messed with and for those who want to start a marijuana habit, please rethink what you a doing because if you do not have the right mind-set, it can lead you into a deep hole. My question on this post: I am wondering whether anyone has had similar problems to me with the vomiting every morning if cannabis is not smoked and how they managed to overcome the vomiting WITHOUT giving up cannabis. I have taken Losec (MUPS) for about a month every morning and that did nothing for me, i have also taken anti-nausea meds which were mental anti-nausea meds and not for anything in the stomach. This is my first and probably only post on this website and i took a lot of time with it so please, sensible answers because this has been a serious problem for me and i just want a way out. Many thanks, Rick moreResolved Question: Can chocolate help with panic attacks?
I've been dealing with panic attacks lately. The symptoms I've been having are (said to be) comparable to that of a stroke and/or heart attack. I know the attacks aren't "technically" fatal, but it takes forever for me to calm down and focus on something relaxing. I have been put on anti-depression to calm me down throughout the day, and I have been advised to adapt to healthier eating habits (which isn't a problem) and quit smoke (which is a problem), But, with the information I'm about to share i know that i may be answering my own question, but is dark chocolate good for becalming yourself as you are having a panic attack. I had the worst of the worst attack a week ago; full body sweating, humming heartbeat, irrational thoughts (insanity and near death). But the instant i had a bite of dark chocolate I was calmed, yet i was still a bit jittery. Should I eat chocolate regularly to help with the problem? Is it bad to take them as I'm having an attack as opposed to medication? Someone please help. moreResolved Question: What's up with all the anti-smoking nazis on YA?
Every question I ever see pertaining to smoking always receives 90% of the answers similar to "Quit now! CANCER! THAH CHEMICALSZ!" If you anti-smoking f*cks don't have any relevant information for someone asking a question then don't waste your time typing out your opinions, your not helping anybody. moreResolved Question: How to avoid getting spots?
I don't have bad skin and I don't smoke or anything but recently I've been getting a couple more spots than I'm comfortable with. I'm extremely sceptical about all the anti spot products and I'm getting conflicting information from lots of different people. My Gran insists washing your face too much will increase spots because you're washing away the natural oils your skin produces so your body produces more to combat them being washed away which causes spots, in the same way the more you wash your hair the greasier it gets. But my mum insists the more you wash your face the less spots you'll get. So in conclusion, more face washing, less face washing or anti spot products? Thanks :) moreResolved Question: What does the Anti Marijuana community think about the founding Fathers who chose to smoke (Hash) Marijuana?
Did you know that most of the founding Fathers grew hemp, and quite a few of them chose to smoke it also? http://www.marijuanalibrary.org/7_presidents.html http://www.naihc.org/hemp_information/hemp_facts.html moreResolved Question: Garden Mosquito ( Au Natural ) !?
I'm sure everyone has heard of "Citronella" when it comes to mosquito's. Did you know that there is an actual "Citronella" plant ? Well there is, and they work great on those small patios or for those window gardens. This plant is a natural mosquito repellent, and I love it's tart Citronella aroma. You can find them at "Home Depot" ( That's where I found mine ). I have a small-mid-size outdoor patio, and on the Texas Gulf Coast, any native or transplanted Texan knows, dealing with mosquito's is practically a year round job. I hated using those foggers and found that the smoking Citronella Lanterns worked, but hated the smoke from having to use so many about the yard. Now that I reside in the "apartment style", I found a "Natural" solution for those Texas Skeeters, and if you're up north and can find these Citronella Plants, they should work great there as well. ( Just remember to make room for them inside where the sun shines during those frigid months. ) As for being a pet hazard, check this out Citronella Your site lists citronella as being toxic. Does that mean that citronella anti-barking collars are dangerous to dogs? —Ted D. http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/ask-the-expert/ask-the-expert-poison-control/citronella.html The answer is no, Ted—in most cases. While citronella oil does have the potential to be toxic in large amounts, the amount many collars use in their spray is relatively small. Most contain about 10 percent citronella. This level might potentially be an issue for animals who have a history of respiratory problems, but otherwise we would not expect to see any problems. The pet information found at the link above. moreResolved Question: Did russian Secret service planned death of Polish President in plane crash ?
President Lech Kaczynski was very anti-cominist and was pro-U.S and pro-west. Altoghether 96 people from Law and Justice right wing conservative party are gone for good. Now there was this one Polish journalist who got on the scene right after the crash occured and he was faster then Police. He said that he's heard 2 quiet explosions and found it quite weird. Soon Russian Police got him, put Makarov pistol to his forhead and threaten saying he'll go to jail. Then they started to ask him what he knows. What was also quite strange is that the police wouldn't let any one near and there was no information available for polish journalists. Also right after the crash they stated that everyone was dead but there wasn't not even 1 ambulance there. As far as fire tracks go there was only 1or 2 of them so not much. it took them the whole day and they still keep Presidents wife and te rest of people saying they're checking DNA. Are they covering traces ?? There's more , Russian police took flight recorder and now they claim there's something wrong with it and that it useless. Do you think they moght've used Neutron bomb or EMP ?? All the bodies were torn apart but there was verylittle fire but there was some smoke. Russian police accuse that pilot ignored suggestions but i don't believe it since only the best one's are chosen for this kind oh job. He's dead and russians can say now whatever they want, he won't be able to defend himself.I'M TALKING about a extremely small neutron bomb or dirty bomb moreResolved Question: Does smoking cause cancer?
Not trying to light anyone's fire here. I have smoked on and off, currently smoking. I am just digging for information here. I have done research to try and personally resolve this issue of whether or not smoking causes cancer or any other illness. On the one hand, I see where people try to cite statistics where cancer has declined while smoking has declined, but I cannot find anything that says there is any tested proof of that beyond statistics. I find it hard to believe that a cancerous cell just falls off a tobacco leaf and into the the body, yet I can see where smoking may very easily create all the necessary conditions for cancer to develop. It is kind of technicality for me to dare to say I don't know if I believe cancer is directly caused by smoking, but rather perhaps smoking creates other conditions in the body that are necessary for cancer and maybe even other illnesses to develop when they otherwise would not. I often have to think that while anti-smokers are motivated to go out and create an argument that has no foundation by trying to draw the comparison between smoking and cancer and other illnesses, smokers are guilty on an entirely different level. I have to wonder how smoking got started, and how it reinvented itself in various ways. I kind of have to think the first smokers probably did not smoke tobacco, and they probably consulted someone they felt was knowledgeable as to what plants or leaves might or might not be poisonous. I also feel it may be likely the first smokers were after something other than a habit, but perhaps some kind of drug to "supplement" their religious rituals. In that sense, the circumstances may be that smoking was started again and again by various tribes that were not trying to create a habit, but were trying to find a drug they felt stimulated their spirituality from a chemical effect. In the same sense, I also feel those people, although they have been primitive, most likely did make sure they did not smoke anything thing that may be poisonous. It is funny how we think we are advanced in our science, and while without knowing everything we need to know about it just choose to get our kicks of something that was probably not invented to be a habit. Any info you have or might stumble or upon would be appreciated. moreResolved Question: What are Canadian Cannabis laws?
I know by all technical terms, Cannabis is illegal in Canada. I have been told thought that there are several cafes that are legally willing to tell you where to buy some and are fully willing to provide you a private place to smoke. I also was told that police will generally let you go with a slap on the wrists or a small fine if you're in possession of any. I intend to apply for Canadian citizenship after a few years of living in Vancouver, British Columbia. I'd prefer to know the laws and tolerance for that area there. I have also seen several BC based sites dedicated to selling seeds. So in short, tell me all you know. (I also feel I should mention I would want to buy medical marijuana for manic depression, as I've seen it sold and I think it would be a good alternate opposed to my chemical filled anti-depressants. If nothing else, I'd like to try it and see if it helps me. On the other hand, my room mate wants to buy recreational marijuana. I'd like information on both.) moreVoting Question: Can you be allergic to Caffeine?
Here's _Alot_ of backstory sorry. When I first moved to a college in my own city with many international student I contracted a really bad viral infection in my chest. I was bed ridden for weeks and missed alot of class. Due to my illness I slept most of the day and couldn't get much work done even if people brought it back for me. To combat this I started drinking lots and lots of coke, when that didn't quite work I started washing down NoDoz with cans of coke (yes, young, dumb freshman desperate to not fail, hindsight is 20/20). Anyway when the infection passed I was left with this lingering dry cough, that wasn't ALWAYS there, and certain things would aggravate it like smoke, aircon etc. I also maintained drinking alot of coke/caffeine related products. 5 Years later I still drink lots of coke, lots of high caffeine energy drinks and still have the cough. I have been to many different doctors who have diagnosed me with a myriad of different illness, prescribed medication, yet the cough is still here in 2010. I recently got the same viral infection, and while the antibiotics cleared that up in a week, the cough is back bigger, more painful and annoying than ever before. What's worse is that I now have Sinusitis as well, meaning I can't breathe through my nose (didn't mention that if I breathe through my mouth I have a massive coughing fit at the moment). So finally today I went back to my doctor and said this this this and this. and that Ive had it for 5 years and I want it gone! Or have it at least diagnosed correctly so that I can try and have it treated. After I left the doctor I went back to work and felt very lethargic (yet another symptom) so I grabbed an energy drink. Within 45 minutes I was feeling really bad and had to leave. As soon as I made it home I had to vomit from the constant coughing motion. Now Laying On my bed trying to pass out from exhaustion I came to the realization that I have been trying to avoid for years... is my love... my fuel.. the only way I can get through the day sometimes actually making me feel shit? I want to make another appointment with my doctor tomorrow and say.. Cancel those prescriptions you gave me yesterday... I'm sure this is the cause (2nd last time I went to him he said im probably allergic to something and gave me some mild anti histamines which probably didn't do much as there's a massive pile of coke & energy drink cans on my desk at home right now. But before I go to him and make a fool of myself. Can you be allergic to Caffeine, and could it possibly the cause of my symptoms? Thanks very much for any information one might be able to provide :D moreResolved Question: Where to go fron here?
I have just realized that i have been being slowly poisoned for 5 years! The story began in 2005 when i moved in to my current residence. I signed my tenancy on 7/7/05, on 25/10/05 i reported a horid smell in the kitchen coming from under the boiler. The housing association sent out a contractor....he determined that the horrid smell was coming from the old drain pipe from the boiler. This pipe was poking up through the worktop...the smell was coming from there. He got some electrical tape and taped up over the pipe. Nothing further was logged as the contractor obviously did not think it was a problem. I have suffered from severe nausea since i moved into the property. My medical history clearly show i was fine up until the end of 2005...and ill up until dec 2009. My doctor has been stumped at why no matter what " Anti depressant " she puts me on i continue to feel sick. I have been on 20+ anti depressants, beta blockers, sleeping tablets, anti sickness tablets, IBS tablets...none helped the nausea. 25th Feb 2010 my kitchen was torn out ready for a new one....the landlord also paid for a new combi boiler. After the boiler was fitted the fitter asked me if i had smelt gas....i told him that i hadnt but there was a funny smell i couldnt identify. He then went on to tell me that he had to replace a section of pipe as it had a pin hole leak in it. I have pictures of the old pipe...before it was replaced and the " section " that was replaced due to the leak. The pipe was located behind a kitchen cabinet....none of the cabinets had backs. I have secured a lot of information regarding natural gas poisoning....i have contacted the manufacturer of the odour as well as NGRID. I have print outs from the Hazardous Substances Database which i am going to show to my doctor tomorrow. There is clearly a link between the time i moved to the property...the gas leak found and my 5 years of untreatable nausea. Natural gas poisoning causes a lot of the symptoms i have. I have called an ambulance on several occasions due to what felt like heart attacks...im 30 btw. This is all documented. As are all the medications i have been prescribed and the tests carried out. At the beginning of my sickness i had an Endoscopy....they thought it was bacteria to begin with but then slowly drew to the conclusion it was infact anxiety. This seemed like a plausible answer to my nausea, shaking, chest cramps, insomnia, and agoraphobia. I had split up from my girlfriend due to my sickness....i was always so nauseas i could never go out in the final 2 years of our relationship....i was with her for 7 years! and the final 2 i was so ill she decided she could no longer cope with it. Since 2005 i have been able to work maybe 2 years because i have always felt so ill....mainly in the morning. Everything points to the gas being the root of the problem.....please read up on natural gas poisoning before claiming its not toxic....or talking about CO2 poisoning....ITS NOT THE SAME. I have spent the last week reading up on each chemical in the gas before it is burnt....as it is in the pipes before combustion. The gas BEFORE combustion contains a whole bunch of nastyness......the gas in the pipes are made up of : 90% Methane 5% Ethane 3% Propane 2% Other components ( radon, benzene, and odourants ) Like i say i have studied hard on this subject, i do not expect my doctor to accept that they were wrong so i have printed off a lot of data to show them. I have also requested my medical history from 2005 - 2009. This shows a clear correlation. My landlord is responsible....they send in a contractor to maintain the boiler but they are useless....and have clearly failed to spot the leak. I have made numerous complaints about this company over the past 5 years. The windows are always on vent in my place due to the " horrid " smell i reported back in 2005. I also smoke. What should i do now....???? the evidence is clearly piling up against my landlord. I have taken fabric samples of furniture and sealed them in air tight jars. Blood tests can reveal the poisoning....its shown in the blood count....i have had maybe 40 blood tests in the past 5 years. I was earning £35k a year prior to my illness. I intend on suing my landlord....you may say that its for the money and yea it is!! My life has been misery for 5 years....i want to live it to the max now im free of my nausea!!! I might also point out that natural gas also has a more sinister side in that it can cause infertility and cancer in the bones ( leukaemia ) so i will be requesting tests for these also. I dont want to use a no win no fee lawyer....but have no idea what do do from here really? I want to sue for loss of earnings, pain and suffering and damages. I would imagine if successful this could be potentially worth £200k +, so i do not want to use a crappy lawyer with no knowledge or an ambulance chaser. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as im gFor twats like BruceWayne..... Dont blame me dick head, blame my landlord :p...blame my doctor but you cant blame me PRICK! So what hes basically saying is that even though i was being poisoned this is not a good enough reason to clam benefit??? How about fuck off twat...i pay my taxes...probably more than you ever have :p moreResolved Question: Why do kids think weed is harmless ?
I watched a documentary about a guy who got addicted to weed and he was a mess. What kids don't realise is that the weed of today is 3-4 times strongerr than what our parents used to smoke. Smoking weed long-term can lead to psychosis and schizophrenia also depression and anxiety and paranoia etc.Why wont the government create an anti weed campaign to educate kids about the dangers of smoking the drug. there are some people that argue that weed is safer thqn alcohol and cigarettes..NOT TRUE..it's just harmfull in different ways but just as harmfull as alcahol an dcigarettes not to mention addictive,,highly addictive. Weed lowers motivation and leads to feelings of apathy. Please if you are a regular smoker or you see yourself going there, take the time to gett some information on your drug of choice. You will be surprised how potent and dangerous it really is. This is a case of 'sheep in wolve's clothing'..it looks harmless , smells harmless and looks and tastes organic like a herb but believe me it does some damage.I posted this question on mental health because a lot of people are exeriencing unpleasant symptoms from smoking weed and i see more of them posting questions here. Thanks all:D moreVoting Question: Everyday im afraid im going to die!! I cannot do this anymore. Need advice?
Almost every minute of everyday i am constantly analyzing myself and my health. I have NEVER been like this and have been very care free, never thought about my health and never thought about death. I dont know why this started. The only thing i can think of is i used to smoke marijuana and quit 7 months ago due to have panic attacks while being high. Shortly after quitting my life changed. Like i said, i dont know if this is what caused this but it was the only thing to change. If my left arm falls asleep, im having a heart attack. If i have a headache, its a brain tumor. I have been dealing with this for months and try my best to control my mind and remind myself its all in my head. I really feel like im going to die soon. I hate this. I cant do it anymore. I now have a new red spot on my breast and am freaking out about that. I just broke down, cried like i never had before screaming to god to help me stop being scared. This is ruining my life and i feel like i have no options. I go to therapy and it does not work. I have tried anti-depressants and anxiety pills and they make it worse. What can i do? I really feel like the only way i can get the help i need is to fake a suicide attempt. I tried to call a local inpatient place for information and they said all they do is crisis emergency .. basically suicide attempts. Why does it have to get worse for it to get better? moreResolved Question: Moral Dillema. Should I password my computer from my roommate (the only computer in the house)?More details->?
Ok. I have a nice computer which i am very fond of because it cost me a lot of money and I bought all the parts separate and set it all up myself. I am big on PC performance so I don't run anti-virus software. I have never had a virus in my life. I don't use my computer for stuff that would infect me. No weird porn, torrents, kazaa, whatever. Anyway, today, the 4th time in the last year, I come home from work to find a note on my keyboard that says sorry that he got a bad virus on my computer again, sorry, blah blah. This time it was internet security 2010, which is a major pain to remove, plus with all the registry changes that trojan makes, who knows the long term damage. I have removed it but here is my dilemma. I work, live, drink, smoke bowls and hang out with my roommate every day(the purpose of that information is to explain our relationship). He's a good friend. I don't want to be a dick, or make it an uncomfortable environment but I am sick of the viruses. I've thought about it and here are some options ive come up with. Can you all help steer me towards to best one, or offer a new option? 1.Ignore it, the virus is removed. Man up, don't be a baby and move on. 2.Password my computer and tell him sorry but i've put too much money into this thing to risk him messing it up. 3.Password my computer and tell him that if he wants to use the computer, go buy some good anti virus software, i'll install it on a seperate user account so it won't have to run when I'm on the computer. ( i have this feeling that if i did this option he would find the crappiest, possibly even free, virus software, never update, and therefore it becomes useless) Just a little side note. I am positive that he doesn't mean to get viruses, I am also positive that he's the kinda computer illiterate that sees an internet pop up saying "you have a virus, click here to get rid of it", and thinks he's doing me a favor when he downloads every trojan known to man. ha. moreResolved Question: Legal questions about drugs and custody.?

I am 17 and have been smoking marijuana regularly for a year now. I like it, but i worry a lot about effects it may have on my brain. I've done a lot of research into this topic and i've found most anti-drug articles on marijuana to be very exaggerated and most of the time just false information used with the justification of keeping kids of drugs. But i want to know the hard facts, i found my memory hasn't suffered at all i can remember stuff better than ever and my grades are great, though after some weekends my thinking may be a little fuzzy. I know it's going to happen anyways, but please don't start lecturing me on how bad drugs are, i just want to know facts, my mind has already been made, i just want to know more about it's psychological effects. moreVoting Question: Anti smoking products?
There is a plaster type thing which is to be stuck on shoulder It is one of the best anti-smoking products But I don’t know what this plaster is called. Can anyone give me more information about this? moreResolved Question: What is the preferred method of ingesting marijuana during pregnancy?
My wife and I have recently become pregnant with our first child and are considering the pros and cons of managing her nausea with marijuana. After some research I am finding that there are not any studies (case or clinical) that can statistically relate smoking normal amounts of marijuana during pregnancy to any ill effects as in the cases of smoking cigarettes, drinking or ingestion of other drugs. All of the information I am seeing against it is second hand hearsay evidence. That said there is some evidence showing that women with severe nausea during pregnancy can have underweight and under developed babies due to a lack of nutrition by not being able to hold down food. Many women are able to manage nausea via consumption reasonable amounts of marijuana rather than resorting to manufactured and likely less understood prescribed anti-nausea medications. Now presuming that our weed is clean and organic to start is there going to be a significant difference between smoking it vs. eating it? We know that smoking reduces the amount of o2 available in the blood for a short time and there may or may not be different concentrations of other chemistry in eating vs. smoking. We are scientifically minded people and are only hoping for rational well justified advice. If you have any special qualifications to back up your answer please let me know. Thanks in advance. moreResolved Question: What is the best Anti-Candida Diet?
I woke up this morning feeling like I got hit by a car. (yes, I've been hit by a car before, I know what it feels like.) I discovered in the last few days that I have a male yeast infection, and after extensive research into it, trying to determine what questions I should ask my dr, I stumbled on Candida. I've stumbled across multiple websites all over the internets that say, buy my supplement to to rid yourself of Candida. For most people that have a disposable income, (which isn't many in this recession) the cost of the product isn't so prohibitive. However, I'm on a fixed income. Fixed income is the governments way of saying that we're going to pay you less than poverty level income, and there's nothing you can do about it. Anyways, all of these sites have a list of Candida overgrowth symptoms, etc, and it would appear that I have all of them as they apply to males. It's difficult for me to determine if this is just all some fad or hype on the internet, because it seems the best source of information is from those people that want to sell me some obscure fix. I remember being capable of applying my mind to a problem and being able to work through it to the end of the problem. Over the last 2 years, my mind has become quite a foggy mess, and I find it difficult to remain on task, because I forget what I was thinking about. As there are many differences as to what the 'best' is, I decided to clarify what I think would be good for me as far as best. I need a diet that is easy to follow, and is affordable on my income. I spend between $50-$100 a month on food. I haven't done much shopping yet for the month, but I estimate to have around $60 remaining for the month. I won't buy any 'special - specific anti candida treatments'. I cannot afford to waste that money, and money back guarantees are frustrating. (odds are I'll forget anyways.) Since I'm often erratic in my means and methods, I intend to stock my food stores up with things that aim to be anti-candida, so no matter what I manage to grab to feed myself, will be along the lines of my end goal. (anti - candida snack foods) I've taken the first step toward this goal, and I have resigned to drinking my iced tea without any sugar in it. I read somewhere that I should avoid tea for an anti candida diet. I need to know if this is something I can ignore. I drink just standard tea, orange pekoe, I brew it pretty strong, 10 small bags for about 3-8 hours per 2 quarts of water. I also brew it cold. It's pretty much my last vice, other than smoking, and when I quit that, my tea will be my last vice. I'm sorry the detail is lengthy, I hope it is not too redundant. http://www.asiantribune.com/news/2010/01/31/election-results This Thisaranee person may very well be accepted as anti-Rajapaksa, Rajapakse, Rajapaksha writer but when the most extreme forces in government such as DEW are also married into Rajapaksa as well as Champika's family and what is as stake is a false dynastic claim from a 2nd generation Sri Lankan there has to be esentially a stop of the smoke and mirrors games of the Rajapaksa. According to his own brothers an untimely demise of Mahinda will only strenghthen the collusion. My understanding was thaty teh Swiss journalist was given until monday to depart Sri Lanka and I am in hopes that the Swiss embassy will file a public protest via electronic media since the embassy at Geneva has been left empty of the ambassador who herself is caught up in intrigue of diplomatic affairs with her boss. A fresh poll is the proper procedure to deal with this PR juggernaut gone awry in pretense of protecting national interests but just a veneer for protecting Rajapaksa interests which holds nothing but temporary and easily discardable affiliations with any country. http://www.asiantribune.com/news/2010/01/31/election-results Rajapaksa's behaviour is the not that of one that legitimately won an election. The million extra ballots that were printed but not accounted for are a clear evidence of malpractices being a very real possibility. The landslide/pitfall victory (depending on how one views it) can be easily set straight by a repoll utilizing elections experts. Rajapaksa has shown lack of intent in implementing the constitution and legally he cannot change the constitution without legal implementation of such. Considering his behaviour a 30 year time frame barring right to information is not possibe. The regular 10 year limit would be the most he could garner. Rajapaksa's 2 US citizen brothers should be picked up by the US as the shoddy behaviour in which Rajapaksa has treated not only those who opposed war but those who supported the eradication of the LTTE is only surpassed by his shoddy behaviour in treating ordinary citizens by both his pre and post election hijinks or lowjinks (depending on how one views it) Here is another laughable item as an elections secretariat without an elections commissioner (especially the one who conduct the contested elections process) is a headless body. I currently own a bar and I will be honest, its disgusting. Its the dive bar of dive bars. A real slum. Most the people who come in work at the local oil rig and already have a very low life expectancy. ALL of them smoke. I have two very clearly defined rooms separated by a door. Why cant I have a smoking section? There are certainly no kids, I doubt anyone concerned about their well being would enter my bar in the first place, and most the people here have heard enough anti-smoking information to earn them their MDs. (The company has had 3 speakers come in already.) Yah, they probably shouldn't smoke but its their lives to waste. And to be honest, if someone was so offended by it that they couldn't hang out in the non-smoking room (since they would be alone in this bar,) then cant I just say "go screw yourself find another bar." I mean if I was running a public library or some other public establishment I would understand but this is MY bar. moreResolved Question: Question for smokers in the State of Washington?

TEHRAN, Iran – Opposition Web sites and witnesses say Iranian security forces have opened fire on anti-government protesters in the capital, killing at least three people and injuring two others. Authorities had warned of a harsh crackdown should opposition supporters hold rallies coinciding with Sunday's religious observances marking the 7th Century death in battle of one of Shiite Islam's most beloved saints. Police helicopters circled overhead and clouds of smoke billowed into the sky. The pro-reform Web site Rah-e-Sabz said security forces fired on protesters, killing at least three. Witnesses say one of the victims was an elderly man who had a gunshot wound to the forehead. He was seen being carried by opposition supporters. THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP's earlier story is below. TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iranian police fired warning shots in the air and beat opposition protesters in central Tehran Sunday, witnesses and opposition Web sites said. Authorities had warned of a harsh crackdown should opposition supporters hold rallies coinciding with Sunday's religious observances marking the 7th Century death in battle of one of Shiite Islam's most beloved saints. Police helicopters circled overhead and black clouds of smoke billowed into the sky over central Tehran. Witnesses said police opened fire with warning shots to try to disperse the crowds. The pro-reform Web site Rah-e-Sabz said security forces beat protesters as they chanted anti-government slogans. Police had blocked streets leading to the center of the capital to try to prevent thousands of people from joining the protest. Still, many opposition supporters managed to break the security wall. Ambulance sirens could be heard near Engelab Square, in central Tehran, where the unrest was taking place. Opposition activists have held a series of anti-government protests since the death of a dissident cleric last week. Last Sunday's death of the 87-year-old Grand Ayatollah Hossein Ali Montazeri, a sharp critic of Iran's leaders, has given a new push to opposition protests, which have endured despite a heavy security crackdown since June's disputed presidential election. Okay so I don't know what happened with my computer, I tried to do the standard spyware removal and virus scan and then everything blew up in smoke! Internet Explorer will no longer submit forms, such as email account. Also some websites don't work with internet explorer anymore. www.hotmail.com stopped working. Even yahoo answers stopped working, and the website to download firefox wouldn't load either (I'm using firefox, I had to get the install file from a different computer) On internet explorer when I do a google search, right when I click what I'm looking for, the address changes and an advertisement appears instead of the intended search. After that I noticed itunes no longer loads, System restore starts to load and then it's just a blank window which is the same for 'user accounts' in the control panel. I've used four different programs for spyware, and checked for viruses. Nothing shows up anymore and the only strange occurance is that when I attempted a scan with Avg anti virus it crashes about half way. Beyond that nothing is detected. First and foremost, I don't want to hear anything about how "weed destroys brain cells", "weed will destroy your life" and "if you smoke weed you will catch on fire". My situation is this: I would like to occasionally smoke weed (and by occasionally I mean once a month or so, I'm at college come on!) but my girlfriend has expressed many times that she doesn't want me to. Her brothers are serious pot-heads and are out of control; this is the main reason why she has the view she has and she can't get it out of her head. I have talked to her many times about me smoking weed. Sometimes she is more open to it and sometimes she isn't. She is mostly worried about me getting caught, but she also thinks weed is on the same line as heroin. She is misinformed (I mean, she drinks all the time, underage) and tells me all the same propaganda type stuff I hear on the anti-drug commercials. So, I have sent her information but she doesn't read it. I've told her that when I smoke I will do it at someones house where everything is safe, I will spend the night, and no one will ever even know about it. I also told her I would never posses it, or never drive with it, or never drive with anyone who is high or has it. I told her if it ever got in the way of our relationship I would stop. I went so far as to tell her that it's part of me and she should be willing to love me for who I am (which didn't result well). But, she still says that if I ever did it she would be really upset. Ok, I love this girl, and I wouldn't let weed get in the way of us. BUT, I also don't want to be held from things I want to expirience. Any help? By the way, we have been together for three years, and over the last year this has become and issue. moreVoting Question: Question about Anti depressants?
I have tried Lexapro, and for a very short short short period of time one prozac... During the time that I was on Lexapro, it gave me strange thoughts- violent. and they weren't my own. I am too scared to try other Antidepressants because I feel like they are going to do the same things to me. It mentally damaged me to the point where, I couldn't drink, smoke, barely drank coffee, worried that I was going nuts (Because of these thoughts that popped up) - So I went to the ER a few times, to get checked in when I didn't know that these weren't my thoughts.... (I was on Lexapro 2 times) The first time after the strange thoughts went away I was able to focus 100% - and I actually got a few A's and B's in school, and I could absorb the information for the first time in my LIFE!!! It was amazing!!! But then this wore off, the strange thoughts came back ... and everything went back downhill... So are all anti depressants like this? And If you get the right ones, do they help you with your concentration? Or is that just what this kind of Antidepressant did? Any help would be great. moreVoting Question: does this article has moral reasoning Need help!!! Can you point out some?
ne means for undermining a woman's right to obtain an abortion is to deny her the ability to make the decision on her own. Minors are required to obtain permission from their parents or, in their absence, a judge. Adult women are required to at least notify their spouses—which, in some cases, is effectively the same as having to obtain permission. Women are thus informed that they can't be trusted to make these decisions without adults or men providing input and advice. Another example of not trusting women to make decisions about abortion is the requirement that they go through counseling before undergoing the procedure. Required counseling assumes that women haven't given serious thought to all their options already. Sometimes, they are even plied with unscientific and false information, for example, about when the fetus might start experiencing pain. The entire purpose of these laws is to prevent women from choosing an abortion, not to educate and inform. Distrust of women's ability to make decisions about having an abortion is also the basis for requiring waiting periods: women who come to an abortion clinic are forced to return days later to actually get an abortion. The ostensible reason is to give women time to reconsider their decision, as if they hadn't already thought deeply about it. The practical effect, surely recognized by those in charge, is that many women are unable to return and never get an abortion at all. That's the point. If there are no clinics providing abortions, then women won't end up having abortions. Anti-choice activists know this very well and have invested tremendous resources into protesting at clinics. Women are too intimidated to go. Healthcare professionals are too intimidated to go to work. Doctors are too intimidated to go into providing abortions—fewer and fewer even learn to do them. Some states only have one clinic left. Some clinics have no permanent doctors. Many forms of basic healthcare are funded, at least in part, by the government. Funding for abortion is banned, however. Even if someone works for the government, they won't get help paying to abort a fetus with fatal birth defects. The lack of funding for abortions can easily put them out of the reach of poor women who are likely seeking abortions because they cannot afford to care for more children. Ultimately, the state pays more to help these families. Religious Views Are Forced on Our Secular Society The Christian Right has demonstrated growing interest in "protecting" fetuses from various sorts of abuse. They want laws that treat attacks on women that lead to the death of the fetus as murder cases. They want to punish women who drink, smoke, or do drugs while pregnant. The point of all this is to establish in the law that a fetus is a person with rights—especially a right to live. If it's murder to attack a woman and kill her fetus, why not when a doctor kills the fetus in an abortion? The consistent theme of all Christian Right policies on abortion is to undermine or eliminate the ability of women to exercise their right to obtain an abortion. Short of criminalizing abortion completely, an important goal for the Christian Right is to have severe restrictions on when abortions can be performed and the reasons for which legal abortions are allowed. Initial steps would be to limit abortions to just the first trimester and to exclude women who want an abortion for "frivolous" reasons. Slow, small steps would lead us up to these changes and, over time, perhaps to eliminate abortion entirely. The right to abortion and the right to contraception are more tightly connected than most people realize. Both are based on a right to privacy and control over one's body, so attacks on one implicate the other. The Christian Right focuses on abortion, but they have been paying more attention to contraception. This is not a truly separate issue for them—it's all part of a larger assault on sexual liberty in modern society. Abortion Rights Are Undermined The consistent theme of all Christian Right moreResolved Question: Can you help me find an argument in this statements.ASAP?

i have to do a social studies project comparing prohibition (banning of alcohol) in the 1920's and smoking bans 2day. for each topic i have to provide information. so far i have this FOR PROHIBITION: Prohibition was the legal banning of the manufacturing and sale of alcohol January 16, 1920: breweries, distilleries, and saloons were forced to shut dow. Anti-Saloon League and Women’s Christian Temperance Union -Worried that alcohol could be linked to wife’s beating and child abuse and were advocates of prohibition Henry Ford thought that without prohibition there would be a decrease in labor productivity Supporters of banning alcohol argued that Prohibition would stop corruption and help Americanize immigrants. FOR SMOKING BANS I HAVE: Smoking bans are public policies, which prohibit the smoking of tobacco Scientific research has proved that second hand smoke can be just as harmful as actually smoking Bans on smoking improve the air quality of public places 27 U.S states have smoke-free laws including restaurants and bars Many cities have local smoke-free Laws including restaurants and bars Some businesses also see smoking bans as a good thing because they will not have to provide ashtrays for smoking guests Nonsmokers rejoice at smoking bans While nonsmokers are happy at these bans, smokers argue that they do have rights -Smokers want to have the right of smoking in designated areas Citizens who did not support Prohibition resorted to smuggling alcohol Bootleggers and speakeasies -Bootleggers smuggled alcohol into the U.S. from other countries -Speakeasies spoke quietly to avoid detection in underground saloons Prohibition failed because it was unenforceable -States began passing laws banning local police from investigating violations i dont no why its spaced so weirdd? sorryy.. any suggestions for what else i should write for smoking bans?? and i also have to compare and contrast them.. what are the similarities and differences?? I know this question has been long discussed before by anti-drug advocates (specifically use information from abovetheinfluence.com) and marijuana smokers alike. What I like to say is the most of the information given off by anti-drug commercials is a load of Bull**** a nice big steamy one too. Saying Marijuana kills off braincells haha and that people that Young people who use marijuana weekly have double the risk of depression later in life.. Thats even funnier! I have smoked before and I was in a deep depression before that and no i didn't pressured into doing it I chose to smoke it by myself just to see what happened and guess what... I'm still alive! My depression if anything is the least of my concerns anymore! This "drug" people say is bad for you... well they just pull answers for you not to smoke it out of their ass.. probably because they never smoked it.. and if they did and said it ruined their life well... it all depends on the person NOT every smoker is alike if you didn't like it then fine stop smoking it and saying it's an addiction because I know it's not I smoke like what, every few months. Marijuana is what made me realize how bad my anxiety was. I never knew what was wrong with me. I guess I just thought everyone felt the same way. My heart started to race before a presentation or test, but somehow I never even had the slightest clue that something was wrong with me. I started drinking alcohol and loved the feeling of no worries, so I started drinking more and more. I even experimented with drugs because I liked the feeling of getting “f-ed up”. The one drug I could never understand was marijuana. I would take one puff and my heart would race for hours. I didn’t know what was wrong with me. I thought maybe I was allergic or maybe I’m sick or maybe I’m crazy. It drove me nuts! I had several thoughts about this because it seemed like no one ever felt the same way. Everyone just told me to chill, but I couldn’t. I just couldn’t understand it. So for years while everyone else smoked, I became the one who loved to drink. Every day became a party to me because I had no worries to the point where I became an alcoholic. Even though I was an alcoholic, I wrote papers on how marijuana was better than alcohol because it had health benefits and didn’t cause dumb things to happen like accidents or OD. I still have problems when I smoke to this day (it’s been 8 to 9 years of me trying)…. Sometimes I wonder if I should just cut it out of my life completely…. But something tells me it would help my anxiety way better than any pill ever would (I had a sister who is a pill addict… she suffers anxiety as well… and I refuse to get on pills…. Partially for that reason…. Stupid doctors keep prescribing me anti-depression medications anyways saying it is for anxiety and I’m not depressed and they do not help my anxiety either!). I do love the smell and taste… and I’m to the point where some times are occasionally better than others. I have finally gotten to the point where I am able to be able to view things completely different and focus on things more and it actually helps me out with finding out information I normally wouldn’t when I am not stoned. I cannot run away from my problem otherwise it will never be fixed. I am currently reading a book about anxiety and reading about people’s experiences online. I was just kind of wondering if anyone has gone through an experience like mine… and what everyone’s views are on this. I definitely feel like alcohol is a lot more dangerous than marijuana and that it should be legalized… but beyond the point of that, I am basically just trying to overcome my anxiety and this seems to be the only thing that has helped or made me realize I even had a problem. Let me know your opinions on my story, anxiety and marijuana! Do not be judgmental on the fact that there are illegal substances, I like to hear from open-minded people. 10 points for best answer! Thanks! moreResolved Question: Does stale tobacco lose nicotine?
I roll my own cigarettes, and all I have is stale crap that has been sitting around for quite some time, it seems as if the tobacco has no nicotine in it, because smoking this crap isn't doing a thing for me. I tried googling it but to no avail all I found is anti tobacco agenda bullshit, and basic information about the health effects of tobacco and nicotine. I'm kinda hoping it does, because that'd make quitting all the more easier for me.Jane while I appreciate your humor and advice, your answer hold little relevance to my question. Also be aware of the fact that I've been smoking for +10 years and simply stopping cold turkey is absolutely terrible, I've weened myself down to about 8 cigarettes a day from ~30. I don't know about the websites rules about posting pictures is, but as soon as I find out I'll get those out in the open. Its highly frightening, I hope I'm just over-reacting. Firstly, this came about rapidly (over a matter of hours). Covering the sides of my tongue are raised, sore, off-white (maybe a little yellow) long oval bumps. Zoomed in, it looks bizarre. The bumps actually look white. The doctor took a look at it (last evening in the ER) and dismissed it as an allergic reaction. Its a vague evening to remember but the nurse said he was positive that they're canker sores. The doctor must have looked over my tongue, right? I was preoccupied and groggy. The Benedryl was taken because they think its a reaction to a medication. Well, i'm under the impression that i'm dying or something thats more severe is occuring. I have really high stress. Im usually deficient in electrolytes, and/or have low blood pressure. I smoke cigarettes and am really rough on my teeth. Any more information can be provided. Any input/advice would be much appreciated. The panicing part of this situation will be dealt with through an anti-anxiety medication. Im really not taking this well. This is just a taste of the inaccuracies of the Qu'ran in relation to contemporary science. Allah says: Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were one single entity, which We then parted asunder and made from water every living thing? Will they not, then, believe? (21:30) Everything is not made of water. Human beings are made predominantly of the element carbon. In fact, carbon is the most abundant element in our universe. And the big bang theory only accounts for our universe, which didn't so much arise from a single entity as it did inflate from a singularity. Allah says:"Do you indeed disbelieve in He who created the earth in two days and attribute to Him equals? That is the Lord of the Worlds. And He placed on it [i.e., the earth] firmly set mountains over its surface, and He blessed it and determined therein its [creatures'] sustenance in four days without distinction - for [the information of] those who ask. And He completed them as seven heavens within two days and inspired [i.e. made known] in each heaven its command. And We adorned the nearest heaven with lights [i.e. stars for beauty] and as protection: such is the ordaining of the Almighty, the All-Knowing. (41:9-12) The Earth took a lot longer than two days in order to form. Furthermore, a large body of astrophysicists now believe in the theory of transpermia, whereby life developed on Mars and was subsequently transplanted to Earth via asteroids due to high impact collisions on the Martian surface. The possibility of “panspermia” is also being considered due to quantities of organic substances having been identified throughout space. Furthermore, stars were never “put in place” afterwards, but were large bodies of plasma left over as residues of the big bang that eventually started to attract solid debris to them through their gravitational pull. Astrophysicists have determined that in approximately 10 billion years the Sun will shed its outer layer. If that doesn’t kill us all, then the Sun collapsing us all into a black hole certainly will. So much for protection. Allah says: He (rose over) the heavens while it was something like smoke, and said to it and to the earth: 'Come both of you willingly or unwillingly.' They said, 'We come willingly." (41:11) Cosmologists have determined that the early universe began as a condensed, thick ball of boiling hot plasma, nothing like smoke. Allah also says: Allah says: And the sun runs in a fixed course of for a term (appointed). That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. And the moon, for which We have determined phases [which it must traverse] till it becomes like an old dried curved date stalk. And neither may the sun overtake the moon, nor can the night usurp the time of the day. They all float, each in an orbit. (36:38-40) The Sun, as with all stars, is not in anything’s orbit, but is being pushed by an anti-gravitational repulsive force called Lambda force. I'm very passionate about science, and having it degraded in such a fashion is unacceptable to me. So for that, and all this, I'm sorry, but if I didn't do it I'd go cracked. If any Muslim has anything proper to add, please feel free however.I swear that seemed shorter when I was thinking it...I'm involved in science and logic in philosophy, and trust me, all supernatural creationist theories are fallatious. I'm not actually that much againt the islam faith in general, as science has benifited from the faith in the past, whereas christianity as been nothing but a hinderance. The Big Bang Theory actually has quite a substantial amount of evidence backing it, and has accurately predicted subsequent discoveries. moreResolved Question: Could daily street violence desensitise to you the brutality of a murder?
Would you be an indifferent witness to a murder ? Italian prosecutors released a video on Thursday of a mafia-style murder in Naples met with indifference by bystanders, hoping it would help break a wall of silence over the identity of the killer. The video, shot by closed-circuit cameras, shows a man wearing a baseball cap shooting dead Mariano Bacio Tarracino, a 53-year-old man with a mafia criminal record, in broad daylight on May 11 this year. Tarracino is seen smoking a cigarette outside a bar in the central Sanita neighbourhood. The killer enters the bar, where there are at least six people, then emerges and shoots Tarracino at point blank range. None of the bystanders moves a finger, although it is hard to say if that is from genuine indifference or fear of retaliation. A woman is seen rubbing off her scratch-and-win lottery card as Tarracino is killed in front of her. A cigarette-seller moves his stall a few metres down the road, while a man holding a toddler in his arms looks at the victim and walks away. After five months of investigations, prosecutors have yet to identify the killer, despite the fact that his face is clearly visible in the footage. "We have decided to circulate the video as widely as possible, urging the cooperation of whoever can provide information to identify the killer and his lookout," the Naples' office for anti-mafia investigations said in a statement. Naples, Italy's third biggest city, is home to the Camorra crime syndicate and its residents have become inured and all but resigned to the almost daily violence on its streets. http://in.news.yahoo.com/137/20091029/758/twl-shock-video-shows-italy-mafia-hit-am.html moreResolved Question: P O L L ~ DO YOU THINK that the government should legalize marijuana ???~((Read my opinion. Agree or no?))?
Here is my opinion- D O Y O U A G R E E ? ? __________________________________________________________ I think they should legalize it, applying the same restrictions to it as alcohol or tobacco. I think that by restricting us from using it, they are violating our constitutional right to the Persuit of Happiness. AND whether it's legal or not, people are going to continue to smoke it. The only difference will be that they can tax it, and thousands of people in jail for weed will be free, HELPING TO SOLVE our overcrowded jail issue. Contrary to myth, marijuana: -Is not harmful to your health. In 1995, based on thirty years of scientific research editors of the British medical journal Lancet concluded that "the smoking of cannabis, even long term, is not harmful to health." -Does not cause brain cell loss. ("None of the medical tests currently used to detect brain damage in humans have found harm from marijuana, even from long term high-dose use.") -Does not cause lung cancer. Nobody has ever gotten lung cancer from smoking marijuana alone. (" Moderate smoking of marijuana appears to pose minimal danger to the lungs. Like tobacco smoke, marijuana smoke contains a number of irritants and carcinogens. But marijuana users typically smoke much less often than tobacco smokers, and over time, inhale much less smoke.") -Does not alter your sober behavior or motivation. ("For twenty-five years, researchers have searched for a marijuana-induced amotivational syndrome and have failed to find it......Among working adults, marijuana users tend to earn higher wages than non-users. College students who use marijuana have the same grades as nonusers.") -Does not cause crime or violent behavior. (" Almost all human and animal studies show that marijuana decreases rather than increases aggression.") -Is not a major cause of automobile accidents. ("There is no compelling evidence that marijuana contributes substantially to traffic accidents and fatalities. At some doses, marijuana affects perception and psychomotor performances- changes which could impair driving ability. However, in driving studies, marijuana produces little or no car-handling impairment- consistently less than produced by low moderate doses of alcohol and many legal medications.....The overall rate of highway accidents appears not to be significantly affected by marijuana's widespread use in society.") -Is not at all a gateway drug. ("Most marijuana users never use any other illegal drug. Indeed, for the large majority of people, marijuana is a terminus rather than a gateway drug.") These are common myths invented by anti-weed activists. Really, what is so bad about smoking if it causes no harm or negativity to the smoker or their surroundings? For the last 5 years I've had a problem with my right ear that comes and goes. At its worst, the ear feels "full", under pressure, hearing is diminished and my own voice becomes less clear as I cannot hear myself speak properly - this is extremely frustrating. There's also a bit of nausea. I've tried various types of anti-biotics and had gromits fitted for a year, all of which were temporary solutions. Nothing seemed to shift the problem, which seemed to come and go mysteriously, until I realised that after a week or so away from smoking cannabis it always clears up, then reappears again after a week or so of smoking most days (I have a long history of on-off cannabis smoking - please don't judge me for it, as this question is about solutions to my hearing issues). Obviously I could give up getting stoned and resolve the situation. But that's not very realistic - I've been enjoying smoking too long and always return to it. Looking around the 'net I find little information about any relationship between cannabis and middle-ear function (doctors have told me it is a middle-ear problem), so I wonder if anyone here knows anything about this and/or can provide solutions that don't involve giving up. Once again, I'm not looking to go into the general pros and cons of cannabis smoking. I am already very well informed. Cheers.Edit to add a few relevant points: - I've also been smoking tobacco for as long as I've been smoking cannabis, but have no problems when only smoking tobacco. On days when I smoke cannabis I smoke more tobacco by weight by about four times the amount of cannabis. So I have my doubts it is simply the fact I'm smoking something. - I'm not too enthusiastic about consuming cannabis orally as in my experience the dose is hard to judge, comes on very slowly and can develop into an lsd-style "trip" that I don't enjoy at all. - in the only instance I can find on the 'net of someone experiencing similar problems, they were advised to smoke through a water pipe. I'm willing to give this a go, but it seems illogical as I'd still be smoking the stuff. - in a slightly different situation 've read of a mother who's child had very similar ear problems that she thought were related to second hand tobacco/cannabis smoke. The miracle cure was apparently chiropractic neck-realignment. I'm sceptical.Another edit after reading the "talk to your doctor" comment: I've seen many GPs about this, along with three specialists and many follow-up appointments at specialist hospital departments. After the surgery (having gromits installed) was unsuccessful, I was told that short of taking more anti-biotics, which is unadvisable, the only possible step is further surgery that could just as well cause permanent hearing-loss as be successful. The surgery I had was stressful enough (a year of ear leaking nasty gloop and a lot of pain) so I've given up on doctors and am resolved simply to live with it unless I can find some cure independently of the health service. moreResolved Question: Myanmar Travel, Cash, Customs, Currency??Etc. Etc.?
I will be on extended stay for business/pleasure in Yangon and possibly Mandalay. I know about Myanmar's peculiar history and culture, and am currently practicing language (I am a fast learner but it is a tricky one!!!). Ok so my specific question is as follows: I have a lump sum of money tens of thousands of dollars. I will be in and out of Myanmar for a number of years.... mostly in from what I understand. I want at least 15,000 U.S. dollars with me in the country minimum. I also want the rest of my money closely accessible. I understand that it is considered RELATIVELY safe to carry cash around and IN Myanmar. But what about the following: How can I effectively declare this money when leaving the U.S. in cash (i.e. in excess of 10,000) do I need pay check stubs receipts etc. etc.? How about going through customs in Myanmar? I know the country is relatively peaceful towards tourists but what about customs agents do they seize foreign money in excess of certain amounts, and/or tax you excessively? For some reason I feel it is less suspect and easier to move if I bring the bulk of my cash in Chinese Yuan rather than U.S Dollars, but a worse exchange rate is this true? Also what are my options for retrieving cash in Myanmar? I think there are only two or three hotels in Yangoon that will provide you cash based on a credit card. Does this mean you cannot directly access a U.S./foreign bank anywhere in Myanmar without paying at least 10% and holding a credit card (I do not own a credit card)? I know it seems like I answered my own question, but really I am interested in foreign bank accounts. For example can I access a Chinese, Thai, or Swiss bank account in Myanmar? I am also very interested in bringing large quantities of personal effects to Myanmar. So for example I smoke cigars, drink tea, and eat chocolate and coffee. I would rather purchase those goods in bulk here and bring them to Myanmar. I also use mild health products that could be difficult to find in Myanmar or very expensive. Such as foot callous cushions, sleeping pills, arch supports.. Etc. Etc. normal over the counter stuff. As well as contact lenses and glasses (both prescription). I know they restrict/tax excess of 50-100 cigars, and a kilo of organic products. Where can I find specific information on penalties/tariffs for entering the country with a few thousand grams of tea, a few thousand grams of dark chocolate, health supplies in bulk over the counter and prescription etc. etc. ? I know this is a huge laundry list of extensive questions few probably have the answers to, but the most specific and most information I can receive the more thankful and grateful I am. Also as aside note I am wondering about anti-malarial medications is it difficult to bring in more than a one year supply?? To recap I am staying extended. I know I will need to leave regularly to neighboring countries for visa updates etc. But have many items especially financial instruments that I want to bring direct from U.S. to Myanmar I need specific answers or a reference to where I can find specific answers about how much I can accomplish. Also as a side note I have studied extensively about the history, culture, military regime. My move is economic and cultural it has NOTHING to do with politics. I have no interests in the politics to me it is an unrelated, unfortunate circumstance of history that only the people of Myanmar must deal with. I know about the phone taps, internet monitoring, and lack of electricity in many regions. I don't need answers and comments about this. I plan on staying only in areas where foreigners are allowed and plan on following to the best of my ability every law that the acting governing body of Myanmar sets forward. I am Just unsure about specific entry/exit details. Thank you and have a great day!!! moreResolved Question: Was the so called TEA fiasco a KKK march on Washington?
Using the excuse about Obama's health-care proposal, countless millions went to a lynch mob gathering. The signs did not speak against Obama's policies. They were the same as "WHITE SUPREMACISTS." I saw a dummy hanging by a noose. I saw Obama's face painted as if he is a minstrel man. I read signs that said "death to Obama" and that he should have been buried with Kennedy. It was utterly shocking! If it was not about RACE, why haven't we seen this with Bush who killed thousands of innocent folk and are still dying? All the world hated Bush, not just Arabs. Clinton revealed sensitive information concerning our nuclear plants to China., and Little to nothing was said. No one dared carry a sign suggesting death to Clinton or Bush, for that would have been a threat to homeland security. That South Carolina redneck, Wilson, did the same as his cohorts outside the White-house. The GOP are double-wide trailer living idiots!! Hannity is self righteous imperial wizard who almost had a conniption when Obama was leading in the polls. These folk are pathetic! I saw one woman break down when she heard Obama was going speak to the kids. I was really embarrassed for this moron! Thank God for President Carter who spoke up on the issue. I have never seen so much anti-black statements in the name of Obama. I guess their inner "Jim Crow" is coming out. GOP are a lily white spremacist group. They will go and get a few token blacks and hispanics and put the out front for their cause. The GOP are mostly Southern Baptists who for decades have lynched blacks then go to church and sing Amazing Grace. Like Huckabee, they pretended to be godly saints but are demons in Sheep Clothing. Huckabee supposes to be preacher but went to South Carolina and stated that "If anyone asks me to remove the confederate flag from the capitol, I will tell them where to stick it!" First of all, no one asked or referenced the flag. He was just letting all the other Bubbas and Sally Sues know that his white sheets were at home. I watch these clowns and just turn my head. This is not about Obama's stand, it is about his race. Get over it, he is not going anywhere! He is not going to resign just because you all want air head Palin who quits in mid stream and cannot locate her butt without directions. This country is headed for a massive riot. It will not be a white only demonstration. White racists are setting up for the biggest onslaught of retaliation since the inception of this country. You see the same signs that I see and do not care. Good, do not pretend to care when you smell smoke! Even as children we learned that for every ACTION there is a REACTION. Do you really want someone to kill him and give whites peace of mind? Do you really think it would simply die out in just a few days or weeks? It would be race haters (not terrorists) that brings this nation to its knees. The surburbs would be the first to go up in smoke. No manner of police or National Guard could prevent millions of anger folk. These folk would be OF ALL ETHNICS, including illegals. Think about it! Fox News are fanning the fires of hatred; this march on Washington is just another straw in the mix. Sooner or later, the world will sit back and note how America brought on its own demise due to "racism." I do not like what I see because I know the reprecussions. When illegal immigration becomes an issue next year, the GOP and others are on their own. Regardless of where the chips fall, you deal with it. Is if better for racist whites to destroy the country than for an illegal? You be the judge and make that call. moreResolved Question: About Cigarettes (information for people thinking about starting)?
I saw a question posed about nicotine addiction/cigarettes/etc. Here is how it works to anyone who it wondering. The first cigarette you inhale, is relaxing and wonderful. It is fast acting but it is short lived. The problem is that the high doesn't return each time you smoke, you don't become addicted it just becomes habitual and expensive. Smoking a cigarette once a day or so allows you to enjoy that high a lot more, with fewer costs, but requires a lot more self control. But if you've never smoked and I know this sounds cliche, but try not to start. There are plenty of reasons those anti tobacco fascist state but the the truth of the matter is this... it can become expensive because tobacco tax is too high, and sometimes you'll wake up with shortness of breath and coughing, which is a very scary feeling. When I was younger I was diagnosed with Pneumonia (before I ever smoked a cigarette). And that is relatively the same feeling. I hope this helped anyone. I just wanted to educate kids on real facts not those bullshit TV commercial pseudo scientific studies.I wasn't saying that nicotine isn't addictive, all I was saying is that the nicotine rush is real something that you only feel the first or with the first cigarette in a long time. The true high doesn't come every time you smoke. I did quit smoking, but the way I feel anti tobacco lobbyists are going about it, is wrong. Lying to so children is wrong no matter what. And nicotine in cigarettes isn't the bad part, it's the actual smoke that's bad. Much like chew, it's not the evil nicotine, it's the fiberglass. And if you do need help quitting, try this, it's simple and it helped me cut back... take the insides out of a Bic pen and breathe through it. Of course there is no smoke or nicotine, but it gives you the hand mouth fixation, as well as a slight drag. Even as a a quitter I stand by freedom of choice that's why I feel big tobacco represents freedom. Those truth.org people use nothing but scare tactics, like I said I do not smoke anymore but that doesn't mean truth.org aren't fascist moreResolved Question: what are the milligrams and names for the different kinds of Alpine cigarettes?

I start to walk towad my bed where emily is lying and she looks at me so weird and i stumble to her and everything is like a flip book like not real at all. It was just like i was in an old fashioned movie. I said to her, "help me save me" she grabed me and shook me and said Liz, Lizzi are you okay!? I started running to my parents and gasping for air and she grabbed me so hard i have marks and like pushed me and carried me down the stairs. I managed to wake my parents up though. We got downstairs and my parents came i started dosing off by this point but in my head i was emily and i thought that i was in hell i thought that I just made the biggest mistake of my life and this was my consequence before i could go to hevan, and god was telling me "this is the hardest thing you will ever have to do, its going to hurt so bad, but its going to be worth it." and i just remember thinking i dont have to eat bad food i dont have to binge. I just need to be beautiful im so scared of being fat i kept seeing my self beautiful and then really ugly. Like id be so beautiful and then my punishment was to be so fucking ugly. My parents sia di looked like i was over dosing. I started to wake up and grabbed... the waffles I threw them at emily and just laughed my ass off like it was the funniest thing ever and started yelling we have to get out of here. my dad grabbed me and i started hitting and punching him over na dover. And in my head i wa slike humans are fake why is this happening to me. I really thought humans were not real. I just htought it was a huge joke. I had no idea were i was. I wanted god to bring me home, I wanted to kill myself so badly. What happened to me!!! Everyone says you cant trip from weed?? ive smoked it before and they are like oh well you cant trip even if your medicine does have side effect of hallucination, but someone on here must have more information that a bunch of 18 year old idiots. It wasnt tampered with or "drugged" weed because other people that smoked it said i must of taken something else. No one understand how bad it was unless i talk to someone who has hhad bad trips on acid or heroin. They say it sounds really similar. But i didnt take LSD and my trips lasted 15 min then another for about 3 min and 2 min then like 5 min and a few other 30 sec so on. Please atleast provide me with educated responses. But i dont need help, i dont need weed, i wont smoke again. I havent in months. Its not something i need in my life moreResolved Question: Anyone have a link to statistics on smoking and pregnancy?
No need to lecture me either. I quit smoking a few months before we started ttc and don't plan to ever start again. I'm just wondering what the actual correlation is because I know a lot of people who smoked throughout (including my mom, grandma, a couple aunts, co-works, friends) and they all had perfectly healthy babies. I also know on that "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant" show, most of them smoke throughout and their babies are always fine too. Obviously it can't be good. If it's not healthy for me, how can it be healthy for a baby but I'm just wondering what the scientific correlations are. I tried googling but didn't find anything other than Wikipedia (which is not a good source for any information) and the Anti-smoking websites (which are obviously going to increase their stats and fudge some info...sites like that always do) Thanks Ladies:D Baby dust to all of you! Thanks Christie (I think that's the first poster) but that is not what I wanted. I know what they claim the side effects are. I'm wondering stats. I.e. out of 100, 1000, 10000 etc smokers how many will have problem pregnancies. I want to see actual links not just an article regurgitating the same things we always here. moreResolved Question: Did You Ever Think, You Might Get Busted?
Having dished this out for the better part of 9 years, I endured it just now. True Incident: About 3 hours ago, I was surfing some porn online (yeah yeah, laugh all you like, but which of you hasn't or doesn't?). Suddenly there were several sharp knocks on my front door. I could hear the muffled sounds of a walkie-talkie. Taken by surprise, I looked into the peep hole, and true enough, there was the Old Bill at my door. Not just 1 or 2, but several! My first thought, Damn, what's wrong? Surely surfing porn is harmless (and I don't fancy the little girls stuff), but how did they know I was surfing porn? Did I do anything illegal or improper? I immediately exited the offending web pages and opened the door. There stood say 6 - 7 coppers, 2 wielding truncheons, another 2 with anti-riot shields and led by an Inspector, no less! I know I smoke the occasional joint, but merely socially, nothing heavy, what then could it be? Did I break some procedural law during my time? Mr Inspector: Can we come in? Who else is with you?. Dumbstruck, I didn't even ask for a search warrant. He saunters in and continues: Is there a bearded man in the house? Slowly the colour returns to my face, I answered: No, what's the problem? A quick glance, and Inspector tells Sergeant, this isn't it. He continues: There was a knifing and someone is seriously injured, initial information provided this address, where the attacker, a bearded man was seen entering. Would you believe it? I then remembered that I actually shaved off my light beard this very morning. I was getting apprehensive again, and thought: Did someone set me up? I asked: When did this attack take place? Inspector: 20-30 mins ago. Now supremely certain there's nothing, I offered my regrets that I had no knowledge or information to share. Instead it's Inspector now, who's apologising: Very sorry sir, but I think it's probably another unit up the street. Sorry for inconveniencing you. Then I remembered that he had no warrant in the first place! Neither did he have any grounds for suspicion, that would have justified his uninvited entry. Suddenly all of them were very polite, shields and truncheons lowered and efforts made to make them inconspicuous. I replied: It's alright Inspector, you're just trying to do your job, no offence taken and no apology sought. I even invited him to have a quick look around if he wanted to, which was immediately and politely refused. Studying him, I mused to myself: There he was on the verge of making a good arrest for the local factory, only to have the rug pulled under, with the possibility of a serious complaint of wrongful entry to follow. Putting him out of his misery, I told him: I was a former officer myself and I understood the dilemma. Wait for the warrant, if any, or take charge by making a decision and sticking to it, either gut feeling or intuition, but all bona fide, no malice on his part. Finally the saga, was over, everyone was all smiles again. Asking me when and why I left,? If I could help, if I heard or knew of something. I assured him and off he went with his awe-inspiring, dedicated and street smart crime busting platoon, ready as ever to detect, solve and prevent criminal activity. Looking back, I laughed at absurdity of it and my own silliness in it. But I did realise for a fleeting moment, how lags feel when I came charging through their doors! And I'm laying of the porn. So It all starts in May, around the time me and my ex where supposed to go on a date, but never did. I started getting calls/text from weird people with different area codes. Saying they found me off of Craigslist. Naturally, I had no idea what they were talking about, as I have never used Craigslist before in my life. So these people start hitting on me and crap and I try my best to play detective and find this bogus "ad" someone posted of me. I only come up with minor information from the people who found the ad. Which was not enough to find the actual ad. Which is confusing why don't they justgive me the ad?( I guess I will never understand that). So then I'm about to give up all hope when someone contacts me on yahoo messenger asking me: "Are you from Craigslist?" I say no and I tell them people keep contacting me telling me i'm on there, but I can't find the ad. The guy says he thinks the ad is someone messing with me. He tells me he found the ad Late June/Early July. He says the ad said something about me being "addicted to sex" and liking to shout "I love sex out loud" I immediately think of my ex. I remember the time when he tried to peer pressure me into smoking pot with him, but I kept refusing his offer. This probably wasnt the right thing to say, but I said something along the lines of "I love sex and sex "and it's my anti drug and you should try it sometime to get him off my back(really I wasn't serious about it, but I think he may have took it seriously). He asked me if he could drive me to an abandoned lot and I refused (I thought that sounded a bit weird) Plus I was already pissed off that he took advantage of the fact that I was depressed. He tried to lock me in but I got out. When i got back to the school building I called him angrily asking for an explanation he was like "I can't help it I am addicted to pot." And I said that he should get treatment or something like that and I hung up. So you see, I have good reason to believe it was him. But what should I do about this ad. My life is obviously in danger because the ad is out there for all the worlds psychopaths to see. Should I call the police, without having the actual ad ?Can I take legal action against my ex for this? Isn't this slander? Maybe I should call my ex about it and question him, but what if he's unwilling to cooperate!? I just want the ad taken down!
