Open Question: Has anyone ever noticed? (White Girl Groups)?

There's never been any extremely popular white girl groups in any decade that made a statement like their black counterparts. Why is that? As Solo artists theres been Barbara Streisand, Celine Dion, Lesley Gore, Britney Spears, Debbie Gibson, Tiffany, Madonna and so many other BIG and successful solo female artists. When it comes to white men there were huge bands like Kiss, ACDC, Queen, Backstreet, Nsync (you get the point), Theres even big solo white male artists that are and were successful, but when it comes to black girl groups theres so many that are unforgettable and are considered enormous, Like The Supremes, Destinys Child, TLC, En Vogue, LaBelle, The Chiffons, The Shirelles, Salt N Pepa, these groups were and are celebrated by many different people with different cultural and racial backgrounds, the impact was so much stronger than their white counterparts such ad Wilson Phillips, The Bangles, The Go-Gos, The Runaways, Expose or Bananarama, White female bands never made the same impact as the black girls or white female solo artists. Ive never witnessed a white girl band blow up like Destinys Child, TLC or The Supremes or SWV. Everyone knows these bands but the white girl bands are lost and overlooked. Why is this? Sure they had like 2 #1 hits or a few top 20s but nothing like The Supremes or Destinys Child. Banarama had "Venus", The Go Gos had "Weve Got The Beat", The Bangles had "Walk Like An Egyption" but the audience was not as wide or diverse as Destinys Childs or other black girl bands or solo female artists black or white... Open Question: Is the Illuminati real?

So I've been listening to a lot of Britney Spears recently when I stumble upon this video on YouTube. This video basically outlines a theory that Britney Spears (and many other music icons) are controlled but the Illuminati. I'm not a novice to this kind of revelation. But it says about how Michael Jackson was planning to expose the Illuminati and he was killed off. And it also warns that the same thing nearly happened to Britney, as she tried to break free through the whole 'breakdown' thing when she shaved her head. Also, it talks about an unreleased song called 'Rebellion', and the lyrics are meant to be about the Illuminati's influence on her. But only part of it has ever been leaked. I know this seems like a big ramble, but I just want to know if there's any truth in all of this. As the more I dig into it, the more likely it seems. People are also worried that if the rest of Rebellion is leaked, something will happen to Britney. I'd appreciate your thoughts :D more

For children, finding a solid role model helps them gain a sense of acceptable behavior, character, and morals. Therefore, it is essential for children choose good role models. While many children find positive role models in their families, they also perceive athletes, actors, or performers as role models. Before television and the Internet, people could not see images of professional athletes and performers, but with the new technology, children have daily access to images and video of these professionals. This has led to a debate within the world of professional athletes and performers. Many feel that they should not be perceived as role models simply because they have chosen a profession in which they are exposed to the public. However, If athletes and performers choose this career path they should expect to be in the public eye and be held accountable to be a role model. Athletes have an important role in children and adult lives. Children will look up to athletes in hope to become as good as they are in sports or just someone to guide them throughout their life. Good sportsmanship is an essential part of being a professional athlete. If one goes into their child’s room their is usually posters or pictures of famous icons. The icons kids have on their bedroom walls is most likely going to be a role model of theirs. Not every performer is perfect but most of the ones that are good role models will learn from their mistakes and try to fix them for their supporters and for themselves. Athletes and performers do have an effect on children. When a child is trying out for the basketball team and they don't make the team, the kid might think Well, Michael Jordan didn’t make his high school basketball team. Role Models help kids pursue their goals and dreams. Being a role model can be a difficult task. But athletes actors and performers should try their best to become one. They don’t have to be perfect because no one is perfect but they should know how to handle bad situations if there in one. Ok, I'm a dance teacher. I've chosen "Till the World Ends" by Britney Spears for my middle school jazz dance class. One of the mothers called me this morning to say she doesn't feel that the song or that Britney Spears is appropriate for ANY age. Putting your opinion of Britney Spears aside and looking at it strictly artistically, do you think this is an ok song for 6th, 7th and 8th graders to dance too? I'm 13... and I started listening to Main Stream (104.1, 96.5 etc.) about a year ago. But seriously, they play the same songs OVER AND OVER AND OVER by the same people for like 2 months then change their playlist. It's ridiculous, and most of the songs are pretty bad. Auto tune, no real instruments, and they talk about sex and drinking. I recently started listening to old songs, checking out the Beatles, ELO etc. (my dad's a metal head, so I've been exposed to all the Classic Rock, or Heavy Metal rock) Def Leppard (went to their concert!) Heart, KISS, Striper, Judas Priest, Journey, Queen, (you get the Jist) I grew up on these things! I like Micheal Jackson too (: The movie super 8 made me fall in love with the 70's and 80's, (their music, lifestyle, Actresses (marilyn monroe, audrey hepburn)) Anyway, I HATE today's music now. Me n my straight guy friend went to a Britney spears concert not long ago. There were many different types of people but about 1/4 of the people there and 9/10 of the Guys were gay or looked gay. Well, my 20 yr old boyfriend Mike is from Cameroon, Africa; he has lived in Canada for a little over 4 years now. We get along great; he treats me well; he`s smart; he`s definitely a gentleman.
