Open Question: What can i do if a internet company doesnt want to give me a refund?

I bough a DVD converter so i can put my dvds on to my iMac so then i can put them on my iPad, so there was a free version so i downloaded that. I put in my first dvd to get converted but it warned me that there will be a watermark on the video and only the first 3minutes of audio, so i thought i dont need that i will by the full version. Once i bought the full version i put in my first dvd and pressed convert, there was no indication of how long it would be (but i did read some review which said it might take a few hours) So i left it on while i went to work when i got back only 20% of the movie was done and it had stopped converting, so i tried different titles as well and same thing happened again and again and again and i even did this over night and kept waking up to check on it but it only did 20%. So i wrote to the company and told them my issue and they asked me questions like: did you change any settings? did u try different dvds? they also wanted Amazon? links for the dvds... i didnt know what that was...because they wanted to reproduce the problem, and they said why didnt you try the free version first before you bought it and i said i did but it had a watermart and no audio after 3 minutes and they said thats not a huge difference....All this in over 15 emails and then they started to repeat the questions and offering me new programs to buy and i said to them i am not interested in new programs specially not to purchase them....and so they said they will give it to me for free and i said to them i am in no need of these programs as i am a mother of two little babys and i dont have time to waste on trials of new programs which are no longer relevant to me. By this time I was frustrated and I just wanted a refund...... I am so frustrated it didnt cost much ($60) but its the principle...... sorry i have written so much but please try and understand what i am saying and try give me some advise. Thanks in advance if it was a shop you could go in and get a refund but like this they wanna play games, what is the world coming too?? :( more

I wanted to buy my children a learning DVD set to help with reading. I have a 4 year old who is in preschool and another who will soon be 2. I have seen the infomercials for My baby can read and have read a ton of review that say there kids won't sit through the DVDs. I have heard a few good things about monkisee but I am wondering if it is to "young" for my 4 year old. Any suggestions? more

Open Question: Can't overclock ram or cpu on MSI P7N Diamond MOBO?

I have a old MSI P7N Diamond and have recently decided to build a system that looks nice but give me modrate gaming specification. I receintly brought some ram cpu and psu and gpu. PSU work perfect along with everything else apart from not being able to OC. My sytem either does not loads windows or sometime does not even get past the POST screen. i have tried all overclocked setting from 1% to 15% and still nothing sytem still wont boot until OC is disables. My system specs are: --> Windows 7 Ultimate - 32BIT --> XFX XXX Edition 650W PSU --> Intel Pentium D 925 3GHz 2MB Cache- Runs @ full 3GHz reviews state i can run @ 3.6GHz --> OCZ Reaper 1GB PC-8400 1066MHz *2 - Runs D/Ch @ PC2-5300 (333MHz) CPU-Z states --> EVGA nVidia GeForce 9800GTX OC Edition 512MB --> Samsung DVD+-RW --> 500GB WD Calvior As the MOBO is way out of warranty i was wondering if anyone knew of a way to enable me to OC my RAM mainly without buying a new MOBO. XFX have told me i am able to run all these componets with the PSU also i am able to add another two GPU's so ovvo not a PSU fault. I dont have a floppy drive so i am unable to flash the bios via floppy but reli like the MOBO and looks reli nice in my case would be a shame to have to replace it. my freind said my BIOS may not be up to date and have looked on MSI website and have contacted them but seem reluctent to give me advice without them charging me to look at the MOBO If anyone could help would be greatly appBIOS shows my RAM as 667MHz but CPU-Z says 333MHz, might be because thats all i had running more

Open Question: "DVD Flick" Program? Need to make a playable dvd?

I have 4 .avi files that I would like to put on a DVD. I can just drag them on to the blank DVD-R, and they will play on my computer. How can I make the disc playable on a dvd player? I downloaded dvd flick because the reviews said it would make any file type playable on my DVD player [or PS2]. I used the program for the first time today, took several hours, and when the process was complete, the disk was still empty.....? [or at least I couldn't detect any files on it?] Any ideas? I have a Dell Inspiron laptop running Windows 7 64bit. Thanks. more

Open Question: My video capture is jerky?

Hey guys, I am getting sick and tired of this... I have an Intel I7 3G ram, 650gb hd, ATI HD 5200-- all with latest updates and drivers. I recently tried 3 different external usb video capture cards - one from Diamond (which never officially supported Windows 7), Roxio VHS/DvD, and Honestech VHS to Dvd 4.0 With Diamond, I can't remember it either didn't find the video or audio until I went into device manager, went to IEEE, and changed it to "Legacy".but it was intermittent and i think this one was jerky too With Roxio, the software program was junk really... all you could do was adjust the volume, and it too was jerky. With Honestech, it specifies it works with Windows 7, and I installed the latest drivers and software. It works no problem on my parents XP (same with the others), but on my Windows 7 Home Premium, the damn jerkiness continues for no reason. It happens in 3 different VCR's, with different tapes, and at different spots. Basically picture you are watching a movie and a person punches someone, well it's like you see the punch twice. I need to figure out what is going on. I have a new, decent computer. I upgraded the video card to this cuz I read really good reviews. Resolved Question: Why is it I can find lost season 6 in a box set prior to its official release of Aug.24,2010?

Hello, searching through the web, I have been able to find lost season 6 out available on DVD in a box set (seasons 1-6). Ebay and other sites have had the complete season 1-6 box set available for more than a month with confirm deliveries and customer reviews. However, the release date shows that season 6 will be available on Aug. 24th. Are these box sets incomplete, or is the season 6 that is included the "unofficial set" i.e. directors cut, etc? Maybe individually season 6 will be available on Aug.24th but box set containing season 6 was ready by June? Who knows...hopefully one of you do. Thank you community. more

Hi, I want to know if you know of a good program that converts old VHS movies into DVD files in the PC so I can burn them permanently into DVDs. I have a few VHS movies that were never converted to dvd by the manufacturer and I want preserve these movies onto dvds. I've heard of Diamond VC500 a One Touch Video Capture Device but, I read horrible reviews about it at amazon.com and elsewhere....things like computer freezing, crashes and incompatibility with Windows XP when it clearly says it's compatible and such...so I'm a bit hesitant on purchasing it. I had recently posted a query that i was planning to buy a Dell Studio 15 wih i5, 1 GB graphics card. Recd some really interesting answers. I really liked one suggestion to buy Acer 4820TG and it has a good online review plus a good battery life. Its a Gateway Gm5632e which had Windows Vista, I just upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and now it won't see the Dvd burner. Its IDE if that matters.
