Now I know there are people out there who have it waaay worse than me, but I still think my life sucks sometimes. First of all, I'm 16 and I have hereditary mental illnesses and am always sick, not mentally but physically ill because I have a weak immune system and "low iron". I wear glasses. I know it doesn't sound like a big deal but the glasses make my eyes look weird and I have to wear them. I am also trying to wear contacts but apparently I have an eye condition w/ contacts too. Also I hate my body. I know this is a common concern for teens, especially girls, but I absolutely despise it. I'm very pale and I have Kim Kardashian's body or I'll probably get it when I'm older, but it's not toned like hers. I hate my body sosososo much. I wouldn't mind if I was 30, but all my friends are thin but I have cellulite stretch marks and excess hair (gross I know) Every time I try to do something to improve how I feel about myself (contacts, exercising, ect.) some obstacle stands in the way. I am a 5 feet tall female, 17 yrs old, 105 pounds, small frame. Sounds alright, but I have lots of fat! My thighs rub together, my properly sized jeans give me muffin tops and I have tons of cellulite. I really would like to loose 10 or 15 pounds, it sounds like a simple feat but is difficult when you have such a small frame. For example, to just maintain my current weight, I'd have to eat 1200 calories a day. I find that I eat great all day, (Breakfast - oatmeal and fruit, Lunch- Salad, Snack - Apple or Banana, Dinner- Fish and vegetables, and then I will binge at night. However the solution isn't to eat more throughout the day, because I will always end up binging around the same amount, no matter how hungry I am. The thing is, my 'binge" doesn't consist of pints of icecream or unhealthy "trigger" foods. Its more like I start eating and cant stop... Ill have a little bit of everything in my kitchen (peanut butter, fruits, crackers, cereal, chicken, milk, bread, cheese, leftover meals) and the calories really add up. My bingeing is getting worse and even though im THINKING more about weight loss I'm gaining more weight. I grew up really naturally thin and had a good sense of my hunger, never really even thought about food, but now my eating is out of control and I don't know what to do.. I used to run in the mornings but I lost the motivation for that. Now my exercise consists of walking, ballet classes and occasional gym visits. I work a lot for a teenager, 10-6 shifts (during summer) on my feet all day, so I find when I get home I want to hang out with freinds and not go workout. I'm so frusterated with my body and hate how I look every day, yet ALSO hate how I rebel against myself with my constant snacking/binging. I'm just tired of obsessing over this all the time. Does anyone have any advice on how I can lose the weight and stop my troubled eating? And best yet, is it too late to become a normal eater and not obsess over food? Thanks for your help!! more

**I cannot go outside and run because I live in a really dangerous neighborhood, I don't go to public school and I can't go to a gym, participate in sports, martial arts, etc etc. I can only exercises INDOORS** I wanna lose 20 - 30 pounds and gain some muscle tone, lose my cellulite and get in pretty good shape by the end of this year. This is a lifestyle change, not just a diet plan either. I'm 5'2" and 140 pounds. I wanna be 110 - 117 by the New Year. For exercise, here's my plan: 1. This may sound silly, but my sibling and I like to pretend we're performing on stage like a band or something, and we just sing along to songs, but I do alot of running, jumping and dancing. It;s usually about an hour to an hour and 20 mins we do that, and I don't jump and stuff the whole time, I gotta catch my breath a little and all.......so it's probably around 20 - 45 minutes of that.....(it's fun so I'm more likely to do it and not get too bored or anything) ----- I do that about 3 - 5 times a week ------------------------------------ And then after dinner I do my Jillian Michaels 30 day shred DVD. I'm going to do every level or 2 weeks, not just 10 days. I may do level 1 for less than that because it's a lot easier and I don't want to be wasting time. And then If 10 minutes on my treadmill or sometimes 10 minutes of stair walking, sprinting up the stairs, and walking back down. I do this if I have enough time to, and I'm gonna try to do that extra cardio every other night, along side a ten minute strength routine, mostly pilates to tone my muscles and hopefully get rid of some of this cellulite! Ok, I wanna use the rest of this year to really lose weight and get in shape. I'm gonna be eating fruits, vegetables, whole wheats, low fat dairies and lean protein sources (I'm a vegetarian for my own reasons, not weight loss reasons. I don't eat fish, nor do I eat beans, chick peas or lentils cause I don't like them :P) so I eat eggs, tofu and Morning star vegetarian food and nuts and 1 tablespoon of peanut butter on my fruit, and I drink at least 3 liters of water and green tea. I want to loose weight for summer, help me figure out my food and exercise plan! I try ed to start a detox diet today for a week - all i was going to have was apples and drink water with lemon squeezed in it I gave in at dinner time and had a bowl of baked beans with whole grain bread (some kind of really good bread for woman) and some muesli with soy milk. - along with 10 km on my exercise bike machine. I think ive pretty much realised i cant go a day without a solid meal so i thought for my detox week id have fruit with yoghurt for breakfast then only eat apples and drink lemon water during the day untill dinner when ill have a healthy but fully meal along with some exercise..... - How does this sound im only 16 but i want to teach myself how to be healthy from a young age, im not over weight but i have serious problem areas for my age anyway ( bum/thighs riddled with cellulite ) So please help me learn how i can lead a healthy life .. along with a nice toned bum and thighs for summer :P Thanx so much for any advice! more

Voting Question: Is a little bit of coffee good and too much bad if you are worried about cellulite?

I am paranoid about cellulite recently, because I used to eat loads of crap in my teens, even though I exercised and now i'm 24 and I don't work out as much.. I'm still slim and toned, 5'7 and 130lbs, but I can see that the skin on my thighs is a little less taut and although I wouldn't mind getting a little bigger overall, I do not want cellulite! I exercise and try to avoid junk food and bad fats as much as possible, but I've also heard that a little bit of caffeine in your diet is good because it makes the blood vessels expand and therefore increases your circulation. Bad circulation is a well known cause for cellulite as well as breaking down of the skin elasticity. Too much caffeine however is said to make the vessels constrict meaning that the blood can't flow through as easily. It sounds fairly logical. Okay so Im 15 and I weigh 125 pounds, Im toned, but not quite as toned as I want to be. I've been trying to get verrrrry cut, toned, and lean but so far it hasnt gone as quite well as I want it to. I do tae-bo maybe every other day, and I run a couple times a week, I try and exercise whenever possible, but still, i dont have the results i want. The problem is, I have my mothers genes, which makes it VERY difficult for me to be toned and yet I still have cellulite on my thighs and butt, which she has A LOT of. No offense to my mother. So I would like to have very toned arms, maybe abs? (or at least a flat stomach) and a nice butt. I have my mothers jeans for a butt, so its already huge, so what are some things I can do in addition to the tae-bo and running that could help some cellulite thats accumilated on it? And also, should I cut out carbs from my diet??...Any diet tips or things to avoid? Resolved Question: Is this a good diet plan?

I'm 17 yrs old, 5'3 and 130 pounds. I have a small frame, so all the extra weight is fat. I'm veryyy out of shape, with cellulite on my stomach, upper legs and butt. I'm trying to lose weight, so I'm thinking about cutting out all bread and pasta and just getting carbs from fruit. Also cutting out milk (I don't usually drink much milk anyways) and cutting out milk products like cheese ( I usually eat a ton of cheese). I usually don't eat much fatty meat, but I'll eat tuna and eggs for protein and take a gummy vitamin. And alsooo, I'll be eating no junkfood or sugar! Hopefully. If I don't give into cravings :/ So here it is: Breakfast Option 1: One egg with a little bit of cheese. One banana (or other fruit) Option 2: Bowl of cereal in AlmondBreeze milk. One fruit. Option 3: One apple, one carrot. Lunch Option: One pouch of Bumblee Light tuna in water. One big carrot. Dinner: One serving of spinach or veggies. One banana. Something else? I haven't tried out this diet yet so I don't know how hungry I'll be, but I guess I'll have a carrot or fruit if I get hungry. Also, at 7 pm every day I'll go for an hour walk outside, which I've started doing for a couple of weeks already. Is this enough to help me lose weight? How long until I see results? Should I add more exercise or eat less food? more

Resolved Question: Will I get my old body back?

A few months ago, I had a nice lean body with virtually no cellulite except for a little bit on my thighs..... then I gained 30 pounds! Now, my butt, thighs and (mainly) stomach are flabby, and now have this bumpy look, like cellulite. Although I never had cellulite when I was thin, so I'm not sure if it's just the fat or what? I heard that cellulite is genetic and that even thin people get it, and I know for a fact the only reason I have it now is because I gained weight. I'm currently eating well and exercising again. I have been with my husband 9 years. Married 3 years. Our marriage has fallen apart. We have had a horrible relationship. When we were first together I left him after he had gallbladder surgery to meet another guy although it didnt happen..kind of impossible really, but I left anyway. I feel awful about it. A few years later I met another guy who liked me and I was told at the time my fiance was cheating so I fell for this guy. It lasted a month then we stopped talking. I saw it hurt my fiance. After our second child we got married. I have been totally faithful, not the best wife though. I am sure he has been dishonest to. What I did was wrong I know, but I openly admitted it and totally stopped after the second guy. I could have understood if he wanted to end the relationship and I told him that many times, but he didnt want to end it. I love my husband. He has took care of me for years. I moved out at 17 to live with him and been with him since. I nag him and accuse him alll the time. I found out a few months ago he was texting other girls and left to go take one of them to work while I was sick. I found out and tryed to get him to leave, but he wouldnt and he promised that was the first time he did anything like that. I didnt trust that much before now I really dont. I know he doesnt really have a right to trust me either, but I love him and have been honest about what ive done and have not done anything like that since. I have even been to therapy. I have record of all his calls and texts. I cant find anything there...or anywhere yet. I just have this gut feeling. I cant leave him alone about it. I guess its got to the point where he is tired of my nagging and accusing, bc he is just plain mean. I dont want a dishonest marriage. When we are not arguing we have fun. I dont think that he is intrested in me anymore. I have had 3 kids so I am not glamorous looking. I am not fat, but stretchmarks, breasts are not that great, cellulite. He felt awful the first time, but now he says i deserve it. We dont seem or look like ppl that would do this. I cant believe it has got to this after what we were like before. I have ruined my kids lives. I dont have support from the ppl I love. Okay so i'm 16 years old, im 108 pounds, and im about 5 ft & 3 inches. I'm really skinny but on the back of my thighs i have cellulite and it's just gross! Ever since lately I've been feeling dark, hollow depression at night. I do suffer from depression and I do have anxiety and very low self-esteem. I still manage to cope and I've been going out more lately. I still feel depressed. I think it's my home life. My stepdad hates me and my mum and I argue all the time. The only time I go out is to have a drink at a cafe with my support worker. She helps me go out more and stuff like that. She is helping me move out of home. I don't have a job and I left school because of bullying. I stay up all night on th computer and when I wake up in the afternoon. I actually had stopped doing that, but recently it started again (me up all night). I don't have friends online or in real life. I often feel like hurting myself or others. Not that I want to, but because I feel like my brain has gone insane with stress and I lose my common sense. I am doing schooling through correspondence once a week for an hour. But the lady gets frustrated at me because I'm not very smart ( I used to be smart at school and got awards till the bullying got worse). I'm also very tired as well because I've had like 1 hour of sleep and keep dozing off. Sometimes I don't even go because of the tiredness (fights in house erupt). I've been through a HELL load of stuff in the past year and I think it's taken it's toll on me. The feeling of emptiness and loneliness has gotten really bad. People say going out more will make me feel better, but it doesn't. I see people and their friends, things I like, families happy..a whole load of things to make me feel worse. I've tried making friends in the past and online. But they ignore me and think I'm 'weird' and 'different'. I'm friendly and talk to them, but they just don't care. Recently, my support worker put me in this group doing exercise (she and my mum told me I'm fat) and arts. But I was scared of going yesterday. I don't know why. I tried getting up, but I didn't have the fitness gear. Mum and my stepdad screamed at me. I told them I have no fitness clothes (we are poor) and mum said to me "just put on leggings and a t-shirt! But I wasn't going to do that because non of my clothes fit me properly and leggings are very clingy and I have very big, massive legs and cellulite and a huge butt. Also, none of my leggings fit me. Of course, everyone yells at me and blames me for everything. Everything is my fault in the family you see. No one cares what they do to me. I have no money to buy myself anything. They cut off my $5 allowance to save money. I did had a benefit which was for my rent, but it got cut off be because I don't have a flat/house to live in. Plus it's not much money. I do want a nice, happy lifestyle. It's just this feeling of helpiness and treatment I get from others. I got scammed by my own support worker and housing agent to only look at 3 houses just so they could get rid of me. They know how sensitive and naive I am. My housing support worker heart threw me into the first house I looked at without my permission!. I looked at another house, but it's right next to the police station and everytime I look at the place my heart aches and I start panicing and crying. You see, a month ago I said I was going to kill myself and threatened my mum. (I lost the plot because she was ignoring me for no reason and treating my stepdad nicely after he bullied me and emotionally abused me). The cops came and threw me in jail for a couple hours. Then the psychiatric team starting tearing into me bringing me down saying things like "you aren't stupid!" and staring me down and then locking me in this tiny room and taking off laughing. They had excuses for everything I said. I said how my parents are horrible and they said because I'm horrible. They don't care what caused me to act the way I do! I've never web soo emotionally and verbally abused by anyone, as I had by those people. They didn't 'analyse' me they made me feel worthless and a pathetic human being and it felt like they were digging into my soul. I saw the cops laughing at me too. I am not a bad person. My life went downhill. I was a very hard, dedicated, polite student at school. In fact I was a bit of a teachers pet. I hardly ever got angry and I went out lots. I didn't have any friends, but I still went to school. I did ok at school at times, but English was my best and I done better there. Then it got worse. I got bullying from students/teachers and started bunking school till I left. My gran got dementia and she went different. This had a toll on me. Mum got depression and I started getting panic attacks. Then my mum met my horrible stepdad. It was only me and my mum before that. im not fat, im 5'3 and 109. i gain everything in my legs, my problem areas are my upper thighs. i have some inner and outer thigh fat, some stretch marks on one leg and on one side of my butt, and a little bit of cellulite where my butt and thighs meet. the cellulite is really getting me mad because im not overweight! ive been doing exercises. when i flex, i feel theres rock hard muscle under the fat. i know cardio will get me there, but im wondering how much cardio would i have to do a day to get rid of the fat? its not that much fat, id say its like1/2 an inch layer of fat. can i alternate between running and walking on the treadmill? is there any other cardio or workouts i can do to get rid of it?? running is just so boring :/ also, how long would it take for me to achieve my goal? ive been on a pretty good diet, infact, i havent been eating a lot because i recently got braces. i dont like junkfood or sweets anyways. my lowest weight was 103 but that was when i was in soccer and running all the time which was MURDER, would i have to do that again? help!!! more

4 years ago I lost a lot of weight by riding bike and walking in Miami, I was the usual chubby girl, so I was happy to be kinda fit, I've never had a flat stomach in my life, that's just nature. 2 years after that I was 12, and I moved to Bogota, Colombia. I didn't really have any options for activity or exercise simply because of financial matters and 'cause the city is dangerous. Over the months I realized that I was developing and maturing into a woman, you know what I mean. I grew hips, breast, etc. By age 13 I was bigger, chubbier and a bit more muscular due to soccer practice at school. I decided to stop eating at night to help my figure since I am growing, and also doing mild exercises to remain the same. But I just kept on getting bigger boobs more butt, I feel very unconfortable. I drink soft drinks occasionally, 'cause I know how bad they are for me. But right now I have developed cellulite and it's very unflattering for a 14 year old girl, I don't know what foods 'cause this and my parents cannot afford professional help to explain all this to me. I know that my mother was a curvy girl at my age, but there's a big difference between being curvy and being overweight. I have lost a lot of self esteem and to be honest it's depressing, and all of that leads me into eating some more for no reason. I don't really have the best genes so that's unfortunate to see other girls my age confident with who they are and slim. Maybe stress is what is making me so anxious when it comes to food. Well I'm 5'3, 130 pounds and 17. My butt and stomach is where most of the fat goes.. I have a very skinny frame so about 30 of those pounds are pure fat, because for the past 17 years I've put so much junk into my body.. I'd eat tablespoons of plain sugar alll the time and sit on the computer or watching tv for entire dayys. But I've been changing that and trying to get in shape! For the past couple of weeks I've been walking 3 miles a day. Also drinking a gallon or so of cold water a day, and cutting back on food, eating more veggies and no sugary food. Now for maybe a week I've starting doing this thing I saw on FitTv with some exercise guy called Gilad whenever it comes on and it's some sort of toning thing, so I do it for maybe an hour or so along with walking at 7 pm. So far the only results that I've seen: my arms looked more toned than they did a month ago, my boobs feel lighter, and I'm a little more energized. But I really want to lose weight in my stomach, butt and thighs, I have fistfuls of fat there and extreme cellulite. How long until I see more results from what I'm doing? THEN i got this new bf who is a fitness trainer for the army and i decided to go gym with him and also take up kick boxing. i love it. i train at gym 6 days a week for two hours with him (mainly weights and a bit of cardio) and also boxing 3 days a week. if i do this and also eat better and drink mroe water can i actually clear the cellulite or once u got it it stays no matter what??? also if you can rid of it how long do you think it will take roughly? thanks more

YES, I'm on YahooAnswers for a fitness plan. So any help? -I want to get rid of my underarm fat. -Slim down my thighs. -Bring my saggy butt up. Like, I don't want to make it smaller, I just want it toned and stuff. And reduce cellulite? -Tone my stomach without it turning into a full on 6-pack. And I'm pretty lazy, too. :( Also, is there any easier types of exercises that won't hurt my joints too bad? I'm diagnosed with hypermobility syndrome and my joints hurt all the time.
