I was watching a game show one day and a white guy was answering a question. I mean, i see all these very biased news reports on why grand theft auto is a bad video game or why rap musicians are bad role models but, shouldn't it be the parents job to censor their individual kid from that kind of stuff, not the whole world? I mean, these rappers never said they wanted to be role models, they are not raising your kids, YOU are raising your kids. YOU need to take responsibility and if your kid wants to get a really violent video game or watch a very violent movie or whatever, you have to say that its a bad movie and tell that kid no. And lets use grand theft auto as an example. Now, it has been confirmed that nowadays, rated m games can be sold to minors in some places and minors can get a hold of and play these games. Ive played Grand theft auto and it is pretty screwed up(although i really don't know where people are getting the idea that you "earn points" for killing cops. first of all, you don't even get points and secondly, if you did, you'd probably lose points). but that's the thing though. Why did that parent let that kid go to a store alone? A 15-16 year old i understand, they are like a couple years away from being 18 and if at 15-16, they should have already been taught the difference between fantasy and reality(shoot, at the age of 10 you should have been taught that). but i hear about kids whose parents let them go to a store that's a long walk to get there and they are like 5 years old. why did that parent let that kid go to a store all by him or herself? and another question, why did the parent not check to see what the kid got? I mean, if i ever let my kid go to a store, id like to see what they got. And for parents who buy these games for their kids, why did you not do any research on the game before you bought it?another thing, why is it that when a kid say that a video game or a movie made them do something wrong, it is automatically time to sue that company? that kids parents should have taken responsibility and told that kid he could watch that movie or play that game. and just in case he does decide to go against his parents, the parents should have told him the difference between fantasy and reality. and how come we never hear whether or not the kid was known to be a violent or angry kid. there was a study that was shown where they gave kids violent video games and while the kids who were excellent at school showed no sign of violent behavior after playing, the kids who were known to be violent happened to be the ones who seemed violent. so, why is it that we always blame media and never blame the parents? He's not in mine, but hear me out. The guy has 2 albums. Everyone else in my top ten has extensive discographies, minus Big L (who i think is far better than Biggie). Tupac died young in his career as well, but Tupac put in WORK. Look at the ridiculous amount of post-humous albums he has. Kool G Rap has been in the game for a long a** time. He's been consistantly rapping on another level for 20-30 years now. I have no doubt Biggie COULD have been one of the best ever.
