okaayy so first off im a 13 yr old gurl. int he beginning of the year,i would always have these huge headaches and i was almost never hungry. in the beggining i weighed 120 lbs, the doctor had me take lots of blood tests, and etc. after a few months, i checked and i was 110!!! i was sorta happy that i lost weight but at the same times i was like WTF?? and so the headaches stopped, almost completely. the doc said it mightve been stress headaches, frm not eating, or sinus. or stress headaches. that was all in like august and october, etc. its now march, and ive lost 2 more lbs. and... at school at lunch sometimes i eat my snacs like chips and cookies, the jiuce, but not usually the gross smelly home-made sandwich my mom makes. so i just throw it away no matter how hungry i am. also i got my period half a monthe before i turned 12. and i have them reaallyy bad. the past like 5 months, i vomit the first day. im not proud of it, but i make myslef vomit by putting my finger down my throat.it just, like relieves me i guess. its much easier than waiting to barf. then i get really weak. idont eat much, today i ate an omlet of 2 eggs, and a milkshake,i tried to eat a baked pretzel btu all i could eat was like 2 inches of it :( i feel fine, but my periods get reaallyy bad. and im worried. it really stresses me out.im not obsessed about losing wieght, being perfect, skinny, im fine with my body. i mean , my stomach is sorta.... ehh. but im fine, i mean im only 13. so ive been thinking whats wrong with me? i used to eat lots of food, and now. i ca barely eat 1 meal a day. plz help? more

Lizabeth was very upset over the matter and knew she had to go talk to her daughter, as the same thing had happened to her when Lizabeth was young. She got to the door of her daughters room, and inside her daughter was crying. She came in and immediately hugged her daughter. “Mary, you must already know what I am here to talk to you about?” questioned Lizabeth. “Look mom, I didn’t mean to I am just so upset with the world and everything right now,” said Mary. She thinks of the death of her father and her mother losing her job, and how hard life has been for the family the last few months. “That’s no reason to throw a ball through the Johnson’s window,” replied Lizabeth. “They have everything, a nice home, nice cars, nice everything. OK I am wanting to make cookies for the super bowl and I have a football shaped cutter and trophy and a few more. everytime I have ever used a cutter, I cut the cookies out and then bake them but after I bake them they look like a big glob..they donot keep the shape of the cutter...so my question is...How do I get them to keep there shape? No matter what shape I use once they bake it looks NOTHING like what it is suppose to...Any ideas why they dont keep there shape and what I can do....I use Plastic cutters if that makes a difference..thanks!!!Ok Great..Either one of those could be the problem..because I might roll them to thick and by the time I get the dough rolled out and cut they are probably pretty warm..I will try both..I have Never had success on them no matter what shape so hopefully that will work! more

I thought that it would be easier to buy the Philadelphia premade cheese-cake filling. So I bought that and chocolate chip cookie dough.I also bought a graham craker crust, which I dont have to use. I dont have time to run back to the store today. All the reciepes online say bake and bake. Im not sure if I can bake the premade filling? Would it be okay to just mix the raw cookie dough pieces in the cheesecake, I know raw isnt good to eat. But ive always eaten it raw and never gotten sick. Any other advice on how to make it? Resolved Question: does anyone have a vegan chocolate cake recipe?

A friend and i are baking a cake for our vegan friend and i'm looking or something that's moist, chocolatey, and well... delicious. I've never made anything vegan or for that matter eaten anything vegan other than the whole food chocolate chip cookies which were so rock hard we threw one out the window of our car only to have it bounce back at us. Suffice it to say i'm hoping for a non-rock like bouncing cake. I've found quite a few recipes but not sure what to make of them. all of the cakes i've ever made from scratch sound nothing like the recipes i've found. from past experience i've found that a combination of baking chocolate and cocoa powder is far better than the recipes that use just cocoa powder. Anyone have any suggestions? or recipes? i'd greatly appreciate the help. also if no one has a recipe in the past my vegan friend has baked and substituted banana for eggs and used soy milk and vegan butter for the usual animal products in regular recipes so just wondering if this was a possibility as i have MANY cake recipes i can use if that is the case. i would just need to know if i have to change the proportions for other ingredients like baking soda, baking powder, and how many bananas equal how many eggs, etc. Thanks!!!i'm not sure what miracle whip is mainly because it looks like dairy... so no clue honestly more

At the beginning of December, my neighbor started hitting on me big time. I tried to ignore it and shoot him down as often as I could and he'd apologize, say that he had let himself out of control and please don't tell his wife. Eventually, I had to tell my sister (it's her son's grandpa) and she had to tell him to stay away from me. And he did. Until Saturday. We had a conversation about my husband's mom's vehicle that needs work...my neighbor is a mechanic. Out of nowhere, he asks to come over and play the wii. I lied and said it wasn't here. He asked if we had other play systems he could play. I said no. He asked if he could come over and talk, I said no. Then he asked me to delete my text messages so he wouldn't get in trouble. I said no simply for the fact that my phone broke last week and I'm using someone else's until I can get a new one and I don't know how to work this one very well. He told me to do a mass delete of all my text messages. Which I refused because there were some important ones that I need. This went on about ten times and then he started talking about all the people that would be hurt because I was being stubborn. I tried to ignore him and then he got nasty. He said (quote) "Well I wasn't gonna say anything about what I know but we'll see after this." Which in my book is a threat. I was completely confused about what he was talking about...what could he know about me that I don't even know? I sent my sister a message and told her what was going on. She talked to him and told him to stay away again or his wife would get involved. He told her that I would regret ever talking to him that night. Which trust me, I do. I called my husband up at work and told him what was going on, which I wanted to avoid as much as possible because he has a temper and I don't want to feud with my neighbors. The next day, my husband sent a message from his phone asking what the big secret was. It took three hours for a reply and the answer was, "Ask her." I had been worried that he'd make up some sort of an affair between me and someone else but at this point I figured it was just all empty threats. My husband replied back, "Obviously I have." And my neighbor went into a spew of how I had tried to come on to him at the beginning of the month and I had taken conversations with him too far. My husband replied back that he knew about what happened the first time cause he had already talked to my sister. So now my neighbor was caught in a lie. So he changed the story to my husband needs to keep an eye on me because I'm not faithful. But don't worry, he'd never do anything with me. He values his marriage. Which again, my husband called out. I have 5 kids...if I was having an affair, I'm sure my 4 or 5 or 6 year would spill the beans. Then my neighbor switched gears and said that the way I act on my computer (facebook) was proof of my lack of morals. Which I suppose meant when I updated my status (which has always been random things...baking cookies today, kids are fighting today, flu bug is in the house.) Anyway, my husband replied back saying that was easy for him to check because my pastor and his wife and half the church are my facebook friends. So once again, caught in a lie. Then he pulled out a doozy. "Well, every night when you go to work, Officer ***** is at your house and he stays until right before you get home." So there was the accusation I had expected. This officer being an old family friend my husband knew it was a lie. Not to mention the fact that they work similar shifts. At this point in time, I sent a message to my neighbor's wife saying we needed to talk. She instantly guessed why. Apparently every year in December this happens. He has actually cheated on his wife 5 times...and always with one of her friends. The doctors say it's a part of his bipolar disorder...at least going out and having affairs is. Lucky for me his wife told my husband her husband was crazy and he made it all up. Problem is it doesn't change what was said. She apologized to me and so did her son but he hasn't even tried. The way I understand it is he's passing it off as okay because of his bipolar disorder. I don't know a lot about bipolar but it just sounds like an excuse...sure he tried to get me to let him come over, presumably so he could try to have an affair...but threatening me, and implying I'm a wh*re, and flat out naming someone that I was having an affair with!!! I don't buy it. This could have done serious damage to the officer's career!! It's done serious damage to me because of an unpleasant past that I won't mention here. So could someone explain?I know he has meds for bipolar. His wife said that the doctor said this sort of behavior is caused by bipolar. I know she's sick and tired of it. They were fighting all night last night. My opinion was that he was just using it as an excuse to not get himself in trouble. Otherwise, why not apologize? The very least he could do is correct everything with my husband. I've already contacted the police department so there is something on file. Next time he talks to me I was informed to file harrassment charges. My husband knows me better than this but I'm sure it'd only take so many times of an accusation like this before he had second-guesses. He really wants to go over and handle things his way but he's afraid he'd end up doing something stupid. Our biggest problem is that, not only is this man our next door neighbor...he's my nephew's grandpa. Which my sister regrets deeply. And we're trying to not put too much of a strain on our family. more

Resolved Question: Do I put the sprinkles on before baking?

I am making some sugar cookie cut outs and want to make some with just sprinkles (no icing) I have always loved these but never knew how to make the sprinkles stick. Obviously you can't put them on afterward because they wouldn't stick and I have found some things on-line that say to pull the cookies out and put them on when they are almost done because the sprinkles will melt if you put them on at the beginning. But I have always heard that you should never open an oven while baking cookies Has anyone ever successfully made these AND when did you put on your sprinkles?To all of those that called me an idiot (very nice Christmas spirit btw:) How do you make the sprinkles stick? I've been baking cookies and making chocolate for the past few days, so I have to taste the food to make sure its still good. I think I've had too much sugar. I've been eating regularly as well. I get shaky when I eat too much sugar and especially when I dont have any in me. I had 2 sugar cookies and half a can of mountain dew. I've eaten so much more sugar before and I was fine. I dont understand why Im feeling so sick right now. I've tried moving around to lose calories and lose sugar, I've eaten some bread and drank some water to absorb the sugar and dilute it. These methods normally work, but I cant stop shaking now and Im getting scared to the point where it's hard to breathe and Im crying. I also got that crybaby lump in my throat that makes my voice high pitched and i talk faster too. A few people have asked me in the past if i am diabetic or hypoglycemic. I think I am, but I dont have insurance to go see a doctor and no way to get a free clinic until my room mates get home. On top of all that, my knee is killing me, so it hurts to sit, stand, walk and lay down. Are there any home remedies that i can try out or any other methods that I havent thought of? Im really getting scared.Im only 20 and I think I have the diabetes and arthritis. I have the all the health issues of my grandparents. ...Just thought it was ironic. more

Husband decided he wanted to bake cookies for me to take into work this week, just for some Christmas cheer. I told him no because I never bring in treats - it's just not my style and I didn't want to do it. But he insisted. He wanted to make these coconut maroons and decorate them like snowman faces - in the baking process - most of them got a little deformed and they look like a 4 year old made them. So im baking sugar cookies, but found out I dont have baking powder. The substitute for baking powder is For each 1 tsp. of baking powder needed, use 1/4 tsp. baking soda and 1/2 tsp. of cream of tartar. Well, i dont have cream of tartar, SO i looked up cream of tartar substitute. wich is 1/4 tsp. of lemon juice for every 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar. What I need help with is, the cookie recipe calls for 1/2 tsp. of baking powder, so I need to figure out the conversions to make it equal. so I would need half of 1/4 (what is that?) tsp. baking soda, + half of 1/2 tsp. of cream of tartar. but to make the "cream of tartar" from lemon juice, I would need to figure out how much 1/8 goes into half of 1/2.. I'm living in Paris now, and trying to make a simple shortbread recipe that works in Canada but does not work in France. Three ingredients: 1 pound of salted butter (450 g, I'm using President brand and i'm weighing it), 4 cups of flour (I'm using T65 from the health food store, and i'm doing the spoon+level), and a cup of white sugar (I'm using the Daddy fine brand, not crystals, not icing sugar). Mix together, put in a pan, prick with fork, bake at 325F (160C) for 45 mins. And it's not working. At all. The cookies in Canada would come out solid, pale with light brown edges. Here the entire pan is dark brown and completely UNcooked. (I tried turning down the heat on a second batch, no luck). So I've got a pan of very dark, soft, uncooked cookies, even after 65 mins at 150C... There's something about the butter in France? About the water content compared to North American butter? Is there an equivalent to North American butter here for baking (i hate to ask this question, it's so repulsive). Fantastic. I turn to Yahoo! Answers for life decisions. I love too many things to focus. I have no idea what job to pursue, so I thought I'd throw out what I do and what my options are. First off I SUCK AT MATH. No math related career-paths. I love music and musical theatre (MT). To be honest, I'm a bit obsessed. If I worked on it, I could audition for the MT program here at school, but I'm scared of becoming a shallow, cold-hearted, back-stabbing person. People can be mean, especially in this business. However, I just want to learn more about how to become a better performer. I've performed all my life, but the uncertainty of a job is tough. I love kids. Part of me screams daily "Quit what you're doing, get married, and have a kid already!" I really want to be a mom. I think that'd be the most rewarding (but hardest) job in the world. My son was just discovered to have these. He's only 13 months old and just got an epipen. Do you have any tips about life without peanuts or tree nuts? Or how about eggs? Any particular warnings about some items we wouldn't necessarily think would contain one of these substances, which in fact does? Finally, how do you raise your child to avoid all baked goods ??? (Eggs.) My family is Austrian, which makes it even worse...no eggs, no tortes, no cookies!!!He's never had an anaphylactic reaction but often plays at choking, and I suspect it's slightly real. He has only had swelling and slight hives. In trace amounts of allergens, he just gets a small rash. So, it's difficult to say if the epipen is needed, but seeing as these allergies can get worse with each exposure, it's just there "in case." He is in the United States Army and has just returned from his deployment over seas this past august. He is also very much into cars but I know nothing about cars. In his free time you can most often find him messing with one of his many cars or helping his best friend with a car. Voting Question: how to make all purpose flour with cake and bread flouR?

i need to make cookies for my math class tomorrow and when i looked into the pantry i found no all purpose flour and all i have is cake and bread flour, i know that cake is a low protien flour which makes less gluten and a more tender lighter baked good, on the other hand bread flour is a high protein flower witch makes a lot of gluten and a chewy tough texture, and ap flour is a medium protein flour witch makes a texture that isnt too light or too chewy and i was wondering if a combination of the two would make a flour that would provide a medium texture for my sugar cookies. or if not how much cake flour to use in replace of all purpose flour more

i remember having this as a treat when i visited one of my friends almost 10 years ago, i cant forget how delicious it was, but i could never find the recipe, its a non bake chocolate Cookie with Pisces of biscuits inside. im sure the mixture is refrigerated in aluminum foil looking like a long tube after it's made that makes it easier to eat at anytime ( i mean no need to cook). any ideas? thank u.. more

A few years ago we had a carry-in lunch at the place I worked. This lady brought in what she called fruit pizza. It had a graham cracker crust and I believe a cream cheese layer with all kinds of fruits (kiwi, strawberries, etc.) It was on a long flat cookie sheet and she said there was no real baking involved. Shortly after that I moved away and had to leave the job and never got the recipe. I really want to make it for the holidays because my husband's family is very large! Anyone have any recipes resembling this out there?!? more
