I recently decided to drag my emerald out of it's box, and I made a bet with a few guys at school doing the same with their GBA Pokemon games. I was wondering what pokemon I should add to the team I've already got planned. Only rules in the bet are no Legendaries, and no Wobbuffets. I already have: Swampert Aggron Gardevoir Salamence. I'm keeping these, but what should I add to this group. I'd like to avoid Hariyama and Flygon if I can, and I'd like to avoid repeating types. Voting Question: Pokémon mobile version? Why not?

Before reading, note that this was sent as an e-mail to the Nintendo general enquiries website. Which means when I say you (for example) I mean the Nintendo Company. So, many people have probably already asked this, but I would like to know if you are or not going to create a Pokémon version for android. Before you answer that question, know this: on one website, ONE Pokémon version (Emerald) ROM (illegal free version for mobile phones) has been downloaded over 12,000,000 times. Why? because who has a phone that runs android or the app store? Either young people who are in age of playing Pokémon, (and I'm saying that MOSTLY young people play Pokémon) Or, adults who play Pokémon because it reminds them of their childhood. Think that to play Pokémon on an android or apple device, you need an emulator. From there, I think it's safe to say that half of the Pokémon fans out there don't know what that is. Now imagine how much people would actually pay you, (the Nintendo company) to be able to play freely on a user-friendly Pokémon mobile version? Let's say at least the double of the previous amount, maybe more, so approximately 30,000,000. So you sell the game 20$ and you make 600,000,000$ benefit. (this is, without an in-game shop that could easily be included for more income). So why oh why do you not create a Pokémon version for mobile?? Sure people would not buy a DS to play the game anymore, but face it, the gaming industry is changing, and come on, it's easy money! And why would people buy it? first of all, there is currently no suitable DS emulator (yes, it's true there are some, but they all lag and the games are quickly boring and some unplayable), so the only played games are on GBA. This is an opportunity for you because you can easily port DS versions of Pokémon on mobile for no real extra cost (well of course you need to port it, but the costs stop here). Also, note that there is currently no way to trade Pokémons on emulated versions. NO TRADING = one of the best aspects of Pokémon is non-existent! so, once again, opportunity!! Finally, if you still doubt that it is a good idea to port a Pokémon version to mobile phones, think of this: technology is always improving, which means that in a few years, you will have LOST your opportunities, a Bluetooth adapter will have been created and a suitable DS emulator too. Why is the DS emulator continuously updated? Because of Pokémon! if DS emulators lost the "Pokémon support", they would eventually stop being updated. Which means that if you do not create a Pokémon version you will no longer have those advantages. Even worse, if this continues, more and more people will start to use emulators and that is NOT something either we, the customers, or you, the seller, wants. Because what would happen then? a remake of the "mega upload" "incident" for ROMs?? So I'll ask my question a final time, Why do you not do a Pokémon version for mobile phones??? I am aware that this is not a "normal" question, but if someone can answer, please do. (and please don't answer in an insulting way). more

So i have had a DS lite and it has served me since 2007. Recently, it broke and is unrepairable. Should I get another DS lite or upgrade to the 3DS. The problem with the 3DS to me is the battery life. The lite worked for roughly 2 to 3 days on a single charge for me, and I hear the 3DS cannot compare at all to the lite in terms of battery life. can someone vouch and say whether the 3DS for at least a day? Secondly, I still play some GBA games. I do have the SP, but don't wanna always wanna carry two handhelds. Are the games that the 3DS havve worth the trade up? thanks for the help. more

so today I went to migrate my pokemon from emerald over to platinum, and I realised that all the games I bought off ebay are fake..... I couldn't get the option to migrate and checked on youtube what are fake and real games and to no avail pokemon ruby, saph, emerald, fire red, leaf green, platinum, diamond and pearl are all fake. I have a real soul silver, heartgold and all newer games ( pokemon black and up) so here are my questions. if I trade over all my pokemon from emerald to a real emerald and my pokemon from platinum to a real platinum, am I able to migrate to my real soul silver? aswell ive wanted to compete and have spent a lot of time legitimately beating these games to get the pokemon I need, if I go to the world championship and they scan my pokemon black 2 and it has pokemon from my fake games will it be considered illegal? and also just another question on the side, if any of my real games have ever had a fake pokemon on them and I didn't know and that pokemon is no longer there, is the game considered illegal aswell in the professional pokemon world? more

You know how when you trade pokemon from all the GBA games and trade from those games to any generation four game and finally from generation four to generation five, the game says "after a long journey though time..." because the game it originally came from is about 10+ years old and says it came from the hoenn, jhoto, or kanto region? Since it's possible to trade pokemon from pokemon colosseum (and pokemon colosseum is it's own region) to any gba game, what region does generation five says the pokemon came from if you do the same process as stated above but the pokemon originally came from pokemon colosseum? My Dad got rid of ALL of my Pokémon games (FireRed, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond, Platinum, SoulSilver, three of the Pokémon Ranger games, and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team...) so I was really upset, even though I'll be in college soon! So, I discovered "ROMS" so I have been playing on those lately! I am currently at the Battle Frontier in Emerald and my team needs to be redone. My team for the Pokémon League was Sceptile, Gardevoir, Manectric, Azumarill, Flygon, and Ninetails. None of my Pokémon were trained intentionally for EVs. They might have picked some up, I don't know. I don't understand "EV" training. I don't think that team will hold up very well for the Battle Frontier, so I was thinking of switching Manectric, Azumarill, and Ninetails out for some other Pokemon. I wanted to add Metagross and Latios, but then my team would be heavy on Psychic types. What are some good Pokemon to use? I can't trade at all, I was considering maybe like a Starmie (but again, too many Psychics), a Houndoom, Salamence (could I have another Dragon type?), Gyrados, or Raichu. Let me know what you think Pokémon experts! :) more
