called collegboard & most of the reading/writing questions that have a lot of vocabulary words i hardly know them! i mean i get the meaning of the sentence & try to use context clues but the choices listed i hardly know any of them so how do i pick? i understand what the sentence is saying and asking you to do proving how to pick the correct word that fits the sentence so my concern is when i do take the sat if context clues & prefixes/suffixes still don't help you or give you any idea or clue what do u do guess? there's probably going to be a lot of questions like that even though i never took the real SAT before ro practice one but do you just guess therefore guessing on all of them wouldn't it cost a lot of points & subtract/decrease your score. and i just took this 10 questions sample sat test and i got only 3 out of ten. i used to read a lot and read super fast like finish a 200 pg book in 3 days but now i hardly read anymore since im so busy.maybe i should start reading again? but yeah any help or suggestions/advice? more

usually, i use flashcards for shorter lists and they are very effective. what i do is go through the entire stack once. when going through them, i make a pile for the ones i do know and the ones i dont know. then, i take the pile of what i dont know and do the same thing. once there are no more piles that i dont know, i re-pile everything up together and go through them until i know each one of them. however, not wanting to use so many flashcards, what is another way to study a long list (about 500 words) of biology prefixes and suffixes? more

So, i'm really confused about this. I have a few errors with what i did but it seems like this is all i need to do according to the instructions. If someone could tell me where i went wrong it would really help: Instructions: Read LinkedListIter.h. This file contains the function definitions needed for an iterator: a constructor, * to access the current item, ++ to advance (prefix and postfix versions), -- to move backwards (prefix and postfix versions), hasNext and hasPrev to determine whether you're at the end/beginning of the list, and == and != for comparisons (will be used to determine when you have moved past the end of the list). Notice the file contains both an iterator and a const_iterator. The major difference between these two classes is the data variable: the iterator contains a pointer to a node, the const_iterator contains a const pointer to a node. I am studying to take my GRE. I am doing well on the math section but am only scoring around 70% correct on the verbal section. I only have about three months to study. I have the Barron's word list (about 3500 words) that are the "most common" words found in the GRE. I was thinking, given my limited amount of time, it might be more effective to study word origins, roots, suffixes, and prefixes, so that when a word comes up that I don't know, I can glean its meaning from its parts. Has anyone had any experience with using this method for preparing for a standardized test? How well did it prepare you for the mass of unfamiliar vocabulary? Anyone who hasn't used this method but has some insight into how effective it might or might not be is welcome to comment also. Thanks!I'm fully aware that "percent correct" is not how my actual GRE will be scored. I am familiar with the format. However, since I can't take adaptive computer based practice tests, percent correct is all I have to go on. Logically, the higher "percent correct" I am achieving on the practice tests could indicate that I have achieved greater mastery of the subject matter and will therefore be able to answer more of those questions correctly even though they are increasing in difficulty. The rest of your answer was quite helpful though. I had thought about the probability of the words I'd studied showing up on the actual exam as increasing proportionally to how may words I'd actually learned. (And also to be funny). Whereas many people may point out the differences in word order, the multitude of grammatic cases, adjective endings, definite articles... (ok even Spanish has only 4 "the's": el, la, los, & las.... how many does German have? der, die, das, dem, des, den.... not to mention the rules that allow for die to become der (unless it decides to become den instead (which is differentiated from other instances of den), or plural which is always die... Ok i'm a newbie with the WEP cracking stuff... I'm trying to crack the key of the network of my neightboor, WITH his authorisation I didn't want to start messing with linux, so i'm using airodump for windows with other utilities like winaircrack, etc... I have a Toshiba Satellite L300D using an Atheros AR700EG (i have read that all Atheros chipsets are supported, so it shouldn't be a problem) I have downloaded a pack with all required programs and i'm following a tutorial to get it to work But now i'm stuck at trying to capture the packets with Airodump Here's what i do: - first select my network adapter (there is only the Atheros AR5007EG in the list, so i type "10" to pick it) - then i type "a" to pick Atheros interface - i pick "0" to scan all channels and set a random prefix for file name here is the error message i get : "The selected adapter's driver is not compatible with the PEEK protocol." but below this line it says "Only atheros, aironet, realtek and HermesI chipsets have a Peek driver" i have an Atheros so it should work? Resolved Question: Best way to to get DSL available where i live?

Let's say you have town A and town B and there is a 5 mile stretch of no city limits in between these two towns. I live about 1/2 a mile out of town B. My address includes town B and its zip code but my phone number is with a town A prefix. The phone switch that I am coming off of is in town A and I am too far away from it to get DSL. I am at the end of the phone line that I'm on and my phone line is always staticy. I am actually closer to the phone switch in town B and am close enough to it to get DSL if my phone number was on town B's switch. I've tried to get my phone line put onto town B's switch but the phone company refuses to do it. What is the best way for me to persuade my phone company to put a switch closer to my house so that I can obtain DSL and have better phone service. I've started to call them everyday and bug them about it hoping that it will bring attention to this areas need. I don't live on a backroad either, I live on the main road going through the county but DSL is still not available here. We are on the expansion list for DSL, but they have been telling us that we are for the last 3-4 years. What's the best thing I could do to get DSL available where I live? more

The layout of my form: - I've got three radio buttons that correspond to three list boxes (when a radio button is selected the corresponding list box changes colour, to let the user know which list box is selected). - I've also got a groupbox that only contains 20 checkboxes (these checkboxes represent items that I want to be able to individually add to a selected list box) and I 've also got a button "add item to list". Names of items/objects in my program: - lbxOven1, lbxOven2 and lbxOven3 (the list boxes) - rdbOven1, rdbOven2 and rdbOven3 (the radio buttons) - gbxbakeitemstimes (the groupbox) - btnAddtooven (the add selected item button) - and my checkboxes start with the prefix chkbx What I want to do: - I want to be able to select any check box and/or multiple check boxes and click the "add item to list" button, to add that item/those items (the text next to the checkboxes) to the list box selected by the corresponding radio button.
