Open Question: How can i get a concealed weapons permit in NYC?

I have been living in NYC (Brooklyn to be exact) for about a month. I want to buy a glock 23 pistol, and get a concealed weapon permit, but I've heard it was hard to get (strict gun control). I want the permit because as most of you probably know Brooklyn isn't the safest place in the world and a couple days ago a couple of big guys (looked like gang members) were asking me for money and stuff so i just walked away and ignored them, but i still don't feel safe. I already know all the requirements needed for the permit (must be 21, no criminal record, etc.) but i need to know if this is a good enough reason to apply for the permit (will it get accepted) because everyone says that in NYC its almost impossible to get concealed weapons permit. more

Voting Question: .22lr: semiauto vs bolt/lever action!?

the classic case! which to get as your first rifle?? please read! well this is my thinking, a .22lr is meant for fun and what not. it's a plinker caliber! yeah it can be used for small game hunting and target shooting, but it's no high caliber centerfire! I'm not looking down on it, i love the .22lr because it's so versatile for so cheap! you get more than you pay for in my opinion! anyway, aside from that enthusiastic paragraph, i am wondering which would be best? semi auto or bolt/lever action? i know that bolt's are typically more accurate, but for a beginner i don't see that really being noticeable. bolt's are also easier to maintain and clean, which is a huge plus! but i don't see how, for a beginner, you can't do what a bolt can with a semi auto. everyone says you should start on a bolt so you conserve ammo and learn to pick your shots and learn to work a bolt action good. although i agree, there's this thing in th eback of my mind saying, "HEY! it's a .22lr! ammo is SUPER CHEAP! do i reaaaaally need to pick my shots?? it's not like i CANT do that with a semi auto. with control, you can easily shoot just as slow and focused as a bolt action. but if you're having one of those days wehre you just want to spray little .22lr rounds everywhere then, it's good to have a semi auto! so it seems the semi auto is best of both worlds (provided you have control and clean it every 100 rounds or so)" now i'm not bashing a bolt action. i love bolt actions for their simplicity and overall effectiveness, and for the most part i'd prefer it. but if the .22lr is gonna be a 'fun gun', then why not semi auto?? lever's are kinda expensive, so that's not as likely for me. i want to be able to do it all, good targeting, fun plinking, maybe even small game hunting. so what do you you all think? you gotta give me good reasoning for your choice though! :))well yeah, conserve to shoot straight too. but it's not like you can't learn to do that with a semi auto, provided you're not just shooting everything all at once without taking the time to aimI like the third action, yes i'm no child i can purchase one. and i have been agreeing in my heart that for bolt actions, i believe it's more suitable with centerfire calibers like at least .223! and i also understand how a semi auto would be a better home defense choice than a bolt action, even though its .22lr more

Resolved Question: really stupid question but ?

It's confusing me all the same. Im taking birth control pill's. When i take my week's break for my period i usually get my period within a day or two, however im now on my weeks break and i stopped taking the pill on friday last and it's now monday and still no period, i was just wondering is that counted as three days late or do you count from the day you're meant to stat back on your pill in my case this coming saturday as your day's late ? i know im probably jumping the gun but im worried just because during the month when i should of been taking the pill i missed five by been out in my boyfriend's house and not having my pill with me ( i had sex within those day's) when i eventually got home i took 5 pills in the one day hoping that it would count. i already done a pregnancy test about to weeks ago and it was negative, could it of been too early though to detect any possible pregnancy. I was pregnant last year but i lost my baby boy he was stillborn, im worried sick that it might happen again. Or could the stress of this worry be what is stopping my period from coming? more

Why the hell should i go to school? I hate to get up early, i hate being with immature assholes i don't like and those so called teachers who think they can talk to me like i'm a ******* 10 year old. Why does it have to be so ******* depressing?! I'd have to get up at 6 and 7am. When it's winter, it's still completely dark and it's ******* cold and sometimes it's ice all over the sidewalk. I'm tired the whole day and the teachers' loud voice is like a gun firing next to my ears. Then there are the PE lessons, where i have to do the stuff that old **** tells me just because he went to some shithole to study how to give orders to students, but it's actually just to humiliate them in front of each other. There are almost no girls in my school, like 1% of the students. If you're being honest and show that you don't care what the **** they tell you, then they're going to be mad at you the whole year and make it even harder. You have to suffer to have a better life in the future, eh? What are we, freaking stupid?! Why does it HAVE to be so hard? Can't you see that everything on this stupid planet is controlled by human beings just like YOU? Or am i the only person who realizes this? Open Question: halo naval fleet game (pc)?

would anyone be interested in a halo game where players control unsc ships instead of first person shooters? It would have to be for pc, u'd need a keyboard for the type of commands it would require that u just coudn't do with an xbox. I'm talking about organizing and implementing planetary defenses and invasions, fleet engagements, using some dumb downed physics to calculate slipspace jumps and orbital trajectories for attacks (keyes loop) and so forth. Maybe even managing crews, staying ontop of supplies, keeping morale up. I was thinking u start out as an xo then take command of a single ship and then command bigger and bigger battle groups as u get promoted and eventually become involved with the tactical planning as ur career progresses. Multiplayer would be a huge hit i think since it would require alot of strategy instead of just running and shooting. i base that on Starcraft II's success with their multiplayer features that is solely tactical and still has achieved a huge fanbase while a majority of games out there are FPS. Only thing though is that a game that complex will have a huge learning curve and i dunno if that will turn alot of people off to the game. Also it wouldn't really have anything to do with the spartans. They would def be in it on some point but they would really have no central role and im not sure halo fans would like that. Good idea? or are halo fans more of the run and gun FPS type of people? more

Open Question: bloodrayne or devil may cry?

not sure which to get. bloodrane 2 has some really fun combet. harpoons works, guns are fun, health gained by eating people, etc. and, if you play thta way, some useful, and some fun cheats. and the character is a really hot female vampire, who is even funny at times. bloodrayne has some areas where you need to solve puzzles that don't give any hints, or don't give any hint to where the puzzle you need to do is even located. so there is the issue of trying to find the puzzle before you can solve it. and you have no idea what it is. also, minor gripe, but the camera controls are buggy. devil may cry 4 is fun, great combat, just overall fun to play but you do switch characters halfway through, meaning your play style needs to switch, puzzles and other game sections that needlessly lengthen the game, and the game-play through it, then play all the levels again in reverse. the characters are irritating pricks. just looking for opinions, mainly by people who have played them-which is the better of the two?actually, I can't really put into words how fun the combat is in devil may cry. it's fun, fast, and building combos is intuitive. and besides, there isn't much that is more fun than hitting an enemy into the air and keeping them afloat with a cushion of bullets. more

Resolved Question: I am suicidal, my family is not listening nor do they care?

Please read, I need help. I need to know if my family is destroying me. My major problem is that my family is wrongfully diagnosing me with depression. My sister was visiting from out of town. All of us sisters were all hanging out, having a good time with my mom and everything. All of their phones kept ringing really loud every minute and I asked them to at least turn the volume down because it was getting annoying. So, I asked if they could please turn the volume down. Well, my sister just jumped at me and said "You know what no one cares about your boring stories and you are so boring. No one cares about anything you ever talk about". My mom was sitting right there and did nothing as I was deeply hurt by her comment. I left my parents house and went home. I visited them again. No one really apologized or mentioned the other incident and I just let it go. So we were eating dessert and my dad got really angry at me for mentioning something that happened at work to me that day. I was just telling them a story and my dad took it the wrong way. I was sitting across the table from him and he stood up and almost launched his fork at me. I was scared so I started running away while he was chasing me with the fork (he had it as if he was going to stab me). Then he told me to "go get his gun so that I can blow my brains out". Once again, I left the house and no one cared. As I was upstairs gathering my things, I heard everyone carrying on and eating as usual. They were even happy laughing. I left the house extremely upset and the next day at work I felt like a useless person. My morning at work was very distracted by my thoughts and I am usually the type of person who can brush aside problems and keep going but I know no one could tell I was feeling miserable. In fact, people know that I am very happy. Ok, so once again I forgave my family. This time my mom came to me and told me that I am depressed. I said what!!! No, I am not depressed! The words that my dad and sister told me were not loving at all and no one recognized this. Instead, I have the problem and everyone else went their separate ways. Now, they think I am depressed. I mean come on, I have two jobs and I am doing quite well. I am happy until my family members poison me and I do not have any symptoms of depression. They are just taking things out of context. So, last night all hell broke loose. I stopped by my parents home to visit for a minute. I am a very forgiving person and I thought I would visit my mom. An event took place while I was there. Some kids rang on the doorbell, kicked the front door and ran. I heard my mom outside yelling "I can see you"... I went outside and saw three boys running up the street. I quickly got in my car and tried to find them. When I came back I told my mom I did not find them. I then said "One of them was wearing a red hat right?". Then my mom said "One of them was wearing a red hat?". Then I said "Well, you saw them didnt you?". All of a sudden my mom just screamed at the top of her lungs yelling at me! Telling me that I have an attitude problem. I calmly said "Mom, what is going on, why are you yelling like this?". She just totally lost control and yelled at me. I tried to calm her down but then I just started getting really frusterated. I started to get really angry! It is unlike me to get out of control with anger but all of the unsolved pressure really got to me. In a rage, I grabbed my purse and threw it down the stairs, my things went everywhere. Then my mom said " you have got a major problem". At this point I was yelling like a crazy "You dont care! You are not listening to me! You just sweep all of the problems under the rug as if nothing is happening". Then I picked up my shoe and raised it in the air, almost throwing it at my mom. I felt bad because she ducked and really believed I could hurt her. This behavior is not me but I feel like my family put me at this point by not caring or listening to me. They just continued on with their lives and if they "thought" I was depressed why are they not even talking to me? Here is the thing, now I really am depressed and suicidal because they have forced me to believe I am the problem but it is them. Suicidal thoughts have been going through my mind but I wont do it. I have my job that needs me and my boyfriend. I think they have convinced me that I have a problem when I dont. I am ok with my new job and I love my other job. I am happy at work and people always tell me that I am so happy. I do my best at my job, I work really hard. I spend time with my boyfriend. The only people I have withdrawn from is my family because they hurt me, not because I am depressed. They just donI am a happy person. No, I have never been like this. My family is making me feel as if I have a problem when I dont. They are tormenting me. If they think I am depressed, then why dont they talk to me? more

Voting Question: Living at home for college? HELP!?

was homeschooled, but took community college classes each semester. But I never had an advisor or anyone to help me figure out applying for college. And my mother, she was too busy being a mommy to my little sister. So the only school I applied to was the university here. Im accepted, and classes start monday. However...Im living at home. My mother attended this university (HER PARENTS LIVED 1000 miles away. And she was a cheerleader.), and is all, "Oh you'll love it! You're going to make so many friends!" Ummm..Im not looking forward to college 1. I feel like, living at home, dragging my homework up to my room, stepping over my baby sister's toys, it wont be like other people. Their parents pay for them to live away, and experience the real world. If they want to leave, they dont have to sign out (I bought my own truck at age 16, but Im not allowed to just go) If they want to come back at 2 am, they can. 2. I have no self confidence (the last of it was demolished when my only boyfriend dumped me out of the blue). Ive gotten to where I hate looking people in the eye. In community college, I WOULD TAKE EXTRA ASSIGMENTS, JUST TO NOT HAVE TO DO GROUP PROJECTS. This wont change. 3. Most people make friends in college by either living in the same dorms, or the same extra curricular activities. I literally have no hobbies, and a part of being shy, I dont want to get involved. AND HOW MANY COLLEGE STUDENTS CAN YOU THINK OF THAT ARE LIKE, "OH SURE JULIE, YOU LIVE WITH YOUR PARENTS? AND YOUR BABY SISTER? Thats awesome.” 4. I dont want a boyfriend. Ive been dumped, rejected and led on enough. Im good. Besides..WHAT KIND OF COLLEGE GUY WOULD WANT TO DATE A GIRL WHO LIVES AT HOME, WHERE HER CONTROLLING FATHER SITS AT THE DOOR WAITNG WITH A GUN? Voting Question: Why do some make blanket statements to support one issue, but it is not valid when used for another?

For example, supporters of homosexuality say, "They can't help it, they were born that way." So what about pedophiles, sociopaths, how come that statement is never used to excuse their behavior? What about a wild animal that mauls someone to death? It is a wild animal. It was born that way, it should not be put down. Recently a person answered a question about the going topless in public issue, saying the issue bothered them because the government was telling people what they can and can't do. I asked about other things which the government controls, but no, no issue there. Or abortion, gun control, the Arizona illegal immigration law, and the healthcare law. democrat/liberal; "Most people support abortion, and gun control. Therefore, abortion should be legal and we need more gun control laws. Vote for the health care even if the people in your district don't want it. That Arizona law is horrible and awful!" Conservative/republican; "Most people are in favor of the immigration law, therefore it is right. Most people oppose healthcare, therefore it is wrong. We need our guns! Abortion is horrible and awful!" If a person makes a blanket statement like that, shouldn't anything that falls in that category be treated the same, not just when it supports their opinions/views/biases? more

I was homeschooled, but took alot of community college classes each semester. But I never had an advisor or anyone to help me figure out applying for college. And my mother, she's clueless. She was too busy being a mommy to my little sister. So the only school I applied to was the university here where I live. Im accepted, and classes start monday. However...Im living at home. My mother attended this university (HER PARENTS LIVED 1000 miles away, she lived in the dorms), and is all, "Oh you'll love U of A! You're going to make so many friends!" Ummm..Im not looking forward to college, is there anyone who CAN ENCOURAGE ME? 1. Im resentful because, I feel like, living at home, dragging my backpack and homework up to my room, stepping over my baby sister's toys, it wont be like other people going to college. Their parents pay for them to live away, and experience the real world. If they want to leave, they dont have to sign out (Even though I bought my own truck at age 16, Im not allowed to just go where I want), stating every detail of the planned trip. If they want to come back at 2 am, they can. 2. IM VERY AWKWARD AND DONT LIKE NEW PEOPLE. I have no self confidence (the last of it was demolished when my only boyfriend dumped me out of the blue). Hi i am 18 and i have a 4month old son and his father is 20, and i do not want him around my son what do i do?? Let me explain, his father is not a fit father he was an has does drugs and sold them, he was an alcoholic, he took steroids while i was pregnant and flipped my over with the mattress on top of me while i was laying down when i was 6 months pregnant, he is very controlling he didnt let me wear makeup, made me always wear sweats and i couldnt do my hair, this is all while i was pregnant among lots of other things, when i went into labor i called him and told him it was time he made me wait almost 4 hours till he took me to the hospital cuz he needed to get a haircut and shower! then the day we took our son home (we do not live together) he was supposedly going home and got pulled over for a DUI and gun charges and resisting arrest, i tried to make it work for our son but when he was 3months i had enough because he would come over and yell at me in front of my son, and i dont feel that is right, so since i left him he has hacked into my emails to see what i do, he called my cell at least 25 times A DAY and text at least 65 times so i changed my cell nu,ber, but he stll has my home number, but now he calles that all the time,i tell him our son is sleeping and he says so.... i have mad it to where he gets to atleast see him 2 times a week and every time he says he is busy and cant come but then he tells everyone im keeping our son from him, he DOES NOT pay for a thing no child support or anything, and when we do talk he never asks about our son only thing he talks about it me and if i found another guy! He has also said if i do not talk to him then he is going to kill his self and i would have to tell my son it was my fault when he grew up, and he has tried to kill his self before, and the hospital diagnosed his 3% sane!! there is so much more to this but you get the point, sorry for all the writing! This may seem unbelievable to scoffers but I would like to point out that 40 years ago I would never had believed this was possible. However look at what has happened since the ACLU, the Courts and now our President who declares that 'America is not a Christian Nation". A President who has declared in his Inauguration address that we were a nation of Islams, Muslims, Jews, Christians, atheists, and non-believers. He has repeatedly voiced this sentiment. He, the Catholic Pelosi and Morman Reid, the multitude of other Progressives have preached against personal salvation which is totally unChristian and denies the Jewish belief in salvation and as Obama and those mentioned are preaching to us about Collective Salvation, conpletely contrarty to the foundation on which we were founded and established. Muslims, athiests, non-believers, black liberation laws, etc. have used the Constitution fo support their agenda to tear down 'In God we Trust', they do not allow public prayer in any public place and they use the Constitution to protect everyone but those for whom the Constitution was written. All the denials they make, no matter how much they want to twist and change history, we were established on very clear Judeo/Christian principals and it is eveident in all our art, all the writings of our forefathers, and what everyone should understand: We are endowed by our Creator with certain inaliable rights by our Creator. They are trying to change that now, they forbid any display of our founding faith but they are so quick to stand behind the Constitution in advancing and protecting the rights of any who want to use our Constitution to server their own purposes. What was this Country 40 years ago. We had a moral compass. One by one we have fallen into practices condoned by government liberals. 40 years ago murder, suicide, naked bodies exposing themselves through pornography, adultry, sexual perversion committed upon children ending in their being maimed, physically and emotionall and often dead. We have children getting pregnant and we are aborting 10's of thousands of children each year as a means of birth control and until recently killing these infants before they could draw their first breath and thrown into the trash like so much garbage. We have forgotten or ignored that they too are endowed they the same Creator as we were. We have to carry guns or other devices to protect us if we leave our homes, we encounter drive-by shootings, we have active homosexuality which is killing our young men on average by the age of 46. We have created a tax system, established no-fault divorce leaving children on their own to raise themselves, stressed mothers trying to handle making a living and caring for children on their own. We are told there are no homosexuals among Muslims? Are we to believe that? Not hardly. Are all Muslims happily married in intact families? Are honor killings still condoned, are stoning still condoned, do women have equal rights? Yes, among some living among us but we don't know how suppressed these women are. Since we lost our moral compass that vacuum will need to be filled with something and the ground is becoming more fertile for Shari law to come in. They will get us all on the straight and narrow. It is their goal. It is their command from their belief and Koran. We don't need to carry signs in protest. We need a President, Congress and Supreme Court to interpretet the law as it is written and whatever Jewish and Christians have ears to hear and eyes to see must rebel with prayer and by getting back our majority and fighting for our rights. It looks to me like it is going to take another march and fight such as MLK put up before we take our rightful stand before we become enslaved by Saharia Law. Our churches and synogogues need to wake up to what is happening and quit following the dictates and lies from the likes of Obama, Pelosi, Reid and so many in Congress who claim the name of Christian but have no idea what their own faith teaches them. I know I have ranted but it seems we are spiriling downward and I felt maybe it will awaken some whose this sense has been knawing at them as it has been me. The gun violence we have in this country is by and large from the illegal trade not from the legal trade. There are problems with our current gun control laws, sure (Like for instance there's no medical background check on people who want to buy them. Many of the massacres we've had involved deranged people with a documented history of mental illness legally buying guns), but I can see many positives to allowing guns in America. Plus the gun violence statistics include suicide by gun, which I don't think should count as gun violence. That's the way I'd like go myself if a disease that is painful comes or whatever. 1) If you are being attacked by a mob of people no matter how strong you are or how quick the police get there, you're f*** unless you have a gun. 2) If there is infultration that the US military is slow to reach or is defeated the infultrators now have the gun bearing public to deal with as well. And lets not forget that when 9/11 happened it was found that our military was so disorganized it wasn't able to reboot until hours after the attack. I live in NYC and a judge last year ruled that a woman who was raped on the platform begging for the two MEN who worked for the MTA to help her (they didn't they just watched an unarmed man rape her) had no case to sue the MTA. So you're not allowed to carry a weapon to protect yourself here, BUT also if you cry for help everyone is completely within their rights to not give a shit and not call the police. Resolved Question: I just can't control my farts?

I have horrible, terrible, painful gas ALL THE TIME regardless of what I eat. The problem is that I pass gas at the absolute worst times. I let a HUGE fart in the library earlier this week. I let loud, smelly farts during church, in restaurants, CONSTANTLY at school, during my uncle's wedding, at my friend Ralph's birthday party and ALL THE TIME at the store (like Walmart). One night on the bus last week the driver made everyone put up their windows because one of the school bullies stole a kid's hat and threw it out the window. It was 84 degrees out and REALLY hot and stuffy on the bus, and sure enough, I passed six "machine gun" farts that smelled like a rotted skunk boiled in vomit and wrapped in garbage and left out in the sun for a week. The bus driver made everyone suffer through them and wouldn't let us put down the windows. When I got off the bus at my stop, the bullies got off too and once away from the bus stop, they beat me up and each took turns farting in my face while the others held me down. It was horrible. One time they even shoved me in a locker and I had to fart, and I had to endure the smell for about 10 minutes. Today in algebra I got lucky, because I got to sit right in front of my crush. Her name is Amber. And, of course, I ended up letting the biggest fart in the history of the world and everyone, including the teacher, was laughing at me and someone said there was so much wind behind it that you could see Amber's hair blowing in it. She was humiliated and disgusted and said "ewww!" I ran out of the room and went to talk to a counselor who told me to get back to class. At home, I have no problems, I can hold my farts in for two weeks if I need to at home. But as soon as I get out in public I feel like I lose all control of my anus and farts just flow from me like the Mississippi river and there's no way to control it. And please, don't say alter my diet, I hardly eat anything the way it is. I am too nervous in the morning to eat any breakfast and for lunch I have a ham sandwich on rye bread, potato chips, water and and bread. Then for dinner I have whatever mom makes. I don't snack between meals and limit my sweets. What can I do??? more

recently in the news (well not so recent anymore) there was a constitutional trail about the second amendment. This got me thinking about the pros and cons of gun control. now i found there to be really no good arguments against them. now I maybe over looking one but for the most part i cant think of any pros. so far the cons I came up with are 1. that the government has to much power to be over thrown by the people, 2. criminals will still be very able to get guns illegal. ( I know of people that sell them in) 3. If you say the constitution granted muskets, but they were as up to date as the governments weapons at that time. 4. Resolved Question: I would like some info about leasing out my horse?

Now I know I'm jumping the gun a little, but i am going into Grade 11 this year and plan on starting University in two years. I have no idea where yet, but it's going to be at least an hours drive and possibly even out of province depending what I am offered. When I started Grade 9 I bought my first horse after riding for 3 years. She is 8 now so when I leave for University she will be 10. I plan on doing atleast a 4 year program, but probably more like 6. Unless both of us get drastically better in the next two years to the point we can make the University team I don't think I will be able to bring her just as a pleasure horse. That pretty much leaves her in the prime of her life hanging out in the pasture (which I'm sure she would like) but being wasted. I am considering leasing her out but i'm not sure if she would be a very good lease horse... She has and always will have, a problem with constantly testing her rider/handler when she thinks they aren't fully in control. That was the reason her old owner decided to get rid of her. I have no problem with this, but i'm worried that the leaser might. She trys to bite, which is a pet peeve of mine and she knows it when I start snarling and make her back 30 steps, she will buck when she decides she doesn't want to do something which I know enough to make her work HARD when she does this, and she will rear, more backing up! It sounds like she's a spoiled brat that needs ground work right? Well actually no, as long as you *don't* give her an inch she doesn't try and take a mile. She has the following training: - 30 days professional training in English (may have been started over low poles) - Fully trained to lounge with voice commands - Ridden 3 years western as a trail horse (according to old owner, I am sorta doubtful of this though as she gets really spooky at things she can't see and touch.) - Ridden two years as a pleasure horse, solid walk trot and learning canter. - Desensitized to: Farm Machinery, trail obstacles, water, flying objects, dogs/cats, sheep, llama's ,cows, and is road safe. - + whatever I do with her in the next 2 years lol. I have a 7 week old daughter who I love more than anything in the world. It was an unplanned pregnancy which led to a shot gun wedding (but fortunately I do love my husband very much and would have married him either way :) ) During my pregnancy I lost my job and being pregnant makes it almost impossible for someone to hire you. I am breast feeding so that is an added stress. I dont know if Im experiencing PPD because it seems on and off. One week I will be crying every day and just feel like Im going crazy. My anxiety gets to where I just cant sleep. I get paranoid when it comes to my husband for no good reason. Last week was definitly the peak that scared me. We were in the car and I was breastfeeding her in a target parking lot and I just went from feeling completely overwhelmed to empty and just wanting to run away. But then other days I feel I can handle it more but I have to really work at keeping my emotions under control and I havent felt really happy except for when Im holding my baby. Voting Question: Where do I go to get help on an issue regarding my landlord and his lack of....? Please help, I'm desperate?

My family & I are renting a house. Come November, we will have lived here for two years. The owner of the house is a really young rich guy that got way in over his head with all the properties he bought, so he hired a management company to control his rentals. My first problem is that when we moved in two years ago, there was a BB gun bullet shot from the inside of the house at the front window. At the time of move it, it wasn't a problem, as the cracks were tiny. Back in December, we started noticing the cracks were expanding (probably due to the cold weather) and air was leaking through. Now the shot was a problem, but no big deal, we called the management company and let them know. I've called them several times a month to have someone come out and fix it, and here we are in AUGUST and no one has. My second problem (and the much bigger one), is that sewage is backing up into our finished basement. After six weeks of getting someone to come fix it, they finally sent someone out. The guy pulled up the floorboards of the room that the leak was in and the concrete under the boards is BLACK. We think this is black mold. Then, the guy left. He pulled up the floorboards, didn't block of the room, and our house has smelt like sewage since. That was last week. THIS IS A HEALTH HAZARD. I have four kids AND pets! We've had to block off the entire basement, everyone has been sleeping in the living room, and no one can go down there. NO ONE HAS BEEN SENT OUT. I do not know what to do. It's been six weeks, and calling up to THREE times per week, and no one has come to fix it. I've called the Health Department and they can't do anything. I do not have the money to hire someone at this time, or else I would and just send them the bill. I do not know what to do further at this point. PLEASE HELP!
