So I bought the game and I put it in and this error shows up everytime. I'm not good with this thing as it belongs to my husband but here's what I know. It's the original PSP (PSP 1001). I write children's books, and I've done the illustrations for two of them. However, I only write the story and do the drawings. I need a software program that has backgrounds that I can place my drawing into. One of my children's books has already been published. The publisher furnished the background to my illustration on the cover. In the interior of the book, I just drew the backgrounds. It's hard to do. I'm pretty good with the characters, but the backgrounds are not my cup of tea. I'm planning on going with a different publisher this time, and if I can find the right software to enhance my drawings I think it may help to get the book published. Open Question: how do I reprogram my car's stock keyless entry to perform different functions than what is assigned?

I am located in Japan, but I'm from the US. I spend my time over here learning as much as I can about whatever pops into my head. Some time ago, the keyless entry fob broke. I super glued it shut, due simply by the fact that it was going to be upwards of $300 to get a new key fob made. When I was younger, I heard of people reprogramming their keyless entry to respond to different commands. Mainly in German automobiles, but that was 5 or so years ago. I am driving a Toyota Altezza (Japanese version of the Lexus IS300). it has laser cut keys, like on most cars these days. My key fob has only 2 buttons, so I was going to order a Lexus factory key fob, containing 3 buttons, and do a little modification of the buttons and what they actually do. I have heard of having a button to put up your power windows, and modifications among those lines, on cars like the Volkswagen GTi. I was really looking for something like that, plus maybe a 2-button combination to have remote start capabilities. Any information on where I could get this done, how I could get some software or a general direction to point me would be greatly appreciated. I have 2 valet keys, which I don't ever use, so if it came down to it, i heard you could replace those in your car's computer with the other functions needed. more

Open Question: Help with usb malfunction error?

i have a gigaware capture card that ive been trying to use, but every time i plug it in it comes up "usb has malfunctioned click this bubble for help" or whatever and when i click the bubble it says code 43 error. I know it's not the usb port because it works for my ipod and my phone and i know it's not the device because it works on my other computer its just my laptop. I tried powering down the laptop and taking out the battery for 30 minutes but that didn't work so now i have no clue and need your guys help! if you need more information about what happened i'll be glad to answer! just anything to get this fixed :P i don't feel like buying another capture card! the one it works on is windows xp and it doesn't work on my windows 7 BUT it used to work on the windows 7... like the video software it came with isn't windows 7 capable (i could see the video but couldn't save it) so i got new software so i'd be able to save it and when i switched softwares it stopped working completely (i couldn't select it as a device and i started getting the usb malfunction error) more

I would like to be able to send other people an email with the required minimum information, so that they can keep working from their houses. Ours is a small non-profit business that will have two telephone lines and would like to be able to offer some options for callers to get information before having to talk to someone in person (or even instead of talking to someone in person). I have seen the Virtual (hosted) PBX options but would prefer to have a software package that handles this for me. Saw Axon but the lack of contact and about-us information makes me a little leary. To give you some ideas of what we will be wanting: Auto-Attendant probably five choices - two will route to extensions, the other three will be recorded information. We will also need inbound fax capability (would like that internet driven also) but not need outbound. Do any of you have suggestions for what I might want to look at? Hello, I have always been the kind of visual artist who can look at an overhead map and be able to put myself in a virtual position of design for others to enjoy. Ever since I have been a young child I have always been fascinated by thematic mapping, and where I should go to place things. I remember in the 6th grade I was told to create a map from scratch, and I did a rendition of the old Everquest map of the world, with polygons, figures, and water. I remember doing a spectacular job with re-creating the whole thing. I am currently a 19 year old, full time college student who is currently enrolled in a GIS (Graphical Information Systems) class, and fully enjoying it. I have had past experience with GIS taking a college level science course in high school. I guess I will get right to the point, what kind of position might I have in the gaming industry out there that deals with game design associated with spatial/thematic mapping? Not necessarily the one to creates the code, but one who uses cartography to create a virtual world. I am an avid MMO player, who has tried about every massively multi-player game out there, and completely enjoys the environment and textures that are associated with each world map and how it interacts with the gaming experience. I have always wondered with games like Crackdown and Grand Theft Auto, if they have people developing the maps with experiences of software similar to GIS to design their cities/towns? On an irony note, I am also the kind of person who ever since have received my driver's license, seems to need a GPS everywhere I go and can get lost almost anywhere without having some sort of map at hand. Maybe some sort of paradox??? Please let me know my options or what kind of position I can partake in the game developing industry with this particular occupation in mind. more

Open Question: What is a good iTunes alternative?

I'm looking for something that is a little more responsive than iTunes. Tonight when I tried to do the GetInfo and add some information for some videos, it took roughly two minutes per video. It didn't used to be like this. Tried a different version of iTunes as well as on a different computer and not across the network, since I thought it might be a network issue with iTunes. My gigabit network handles 1080p fine, so I don't see that it could be doing it. I have a Core 2 Quad Q9550, 4 GB RAM, and a GTX 280, which can run the most recent software and games, including games which can't be maxed out on today's hardware perfectly fine. However, whenever I work with iTunes, my system slows to a crawl. Are there other alternatives to iTunes out there? I mostly want to create playlists and put videos onto my iPod. Don't really need it to do anything else. more

i just got a new pc and before I could get my anti-virus software I was tricked into installing AntiSpy Safeguard. Fully installed, not just popping up. Now my computer is completely useless, doesnt matter if i start in safe mode or not, AntiSpy Safeguard pops up, it scans and I cant do anything else. nothing. sucks. the silver lining is that I didnt have any important information on it yet, but thats it. really sucks. what can I do? anything?Additional info: it scans the computer, says i need to install a module or i can continue unprotected. Open Question: Addiction and reaction?

Hello all. My boyfriend is addicted to pornography and he and I have been trying to help overcome the issue by using Covenant Eyes software and him keeping me up to date on his urges and letting me be there for him when he starts to struggle. However we are a distance apart where we cannot see each other regularly. We have built up trust and honesty, however the trust issue is starting to fall apart. When he struggles and tells me, I go into a depression where it's hard to help him. My background involves sexual abuse, and although what he looks at doesn't relate to what had happened to me, it still feels hurtful in the same sense. I have been reading articles online as well as he informs me on how hard the addiction is and what he has learned. My problem is that even with this knowledge I've gained on the issue, I cannot help but react irrationally. There was one time where he had viewed it when I was visiting him, I didn't catch him but when I looked through his iPod Touch (It has Covenant Eyes installed), I looked through Safari and found myself shocked and traumatized by the page of porn he left off. I looked at his iRecovery (Or some program) app just to see what help articles were available to him and I saw that in the calendar, he had marked the days where he had slipped up and looked at porn. Mind you, I was not snooping through his information, he had granted me access to his iPod Touch while he was gaming with friends. Well, I wouldn't tell him what was wrong and I nearly had a panic attack. The issue takes me deep into a depression and I already have a history of being suicidal as well as self-inflicted harm. The day ended up with me yelling at him, and cutting myself which hurt him emotionally because he works hard on being there so I don't cut myself. He has a low self-esteem and I felt incredibly guilty for the way I reacted, where his depression kicked in and suicidal thoughts came because he has such a hard time overcoming this problem. Although, we talked about it in the end and things brightened up for the moment being. However me being apart from him currently is difficult to be there to keep an eye on him (Still respecting his space), and because he does not lie to me, I have to find out when he slips up the hard way. In the end, I cannot handle emotionally when he looks at porn, it comes to me as an offense and take it out on myself, and he fears telling me when he slips up because we go through rough periods of time where my trust for him drops a level and he goes through shame and guilt where he builds up his self-hatred. I am wondering what can I do, based on this knowledge? I have looked into self-help articles on the compulsive behavior of my self-inflicted harm, and yet the knowledge itself still doesn't stop me. But I am more concerned on how I can help him, and trust him again fully. He is dedicated to stopping his addiction because he has seen the loss in peoples lives over it, marriages gone to divorce, and people depending on pornography to keep their sanity. Any advice, or suggestions I can use to help myself and him until we move in together?For those who have the same answers as Pearl L (Not that the answer is completely wrong), please read this. He enjoys it as a sense any other man, or woman, would enjoy the sexual build up and relief. However, it's a struggle on his OWN that he CHOSE to try and overcome. Is there any lip syncing sowftware out there that is FREE (entire purpose), that does the same thing as Magpie Pro? I can't seem to find any. It's for lip syncing animations that will be completed in After Effects. Open Question: How can I prevent the Blue Screen from occurring on my Windows XP?

Recently I have been getting the Blue Screen on my computer when I play videos or browse the internet. It says that there might be a problem in my recently installed software and that I should uninstall it or reinstall it. The last things I installed were 3 drivers from dell. A few months ago I had typed my service tag (76VH72J) in on dell's Drivers & Downloads page and installed the Chipset driver and 2 video drivers. So then I tried re downloading and reinstalling them, but after I restarted my computer I was stuck on 4-bit 640 * 480 pixels! So then I system restored and it was OK. So what do I do now? Are there any other drivers I can install or is something else causing the blue screen? If you need any more information to answer then please message me as I need to sort this out. more

Open Question: How do I get Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit to stop trying to hide files and directories on me?

This is getting really annoying. Right now, I am trying to install some software which will interface with Apache Web Server for a development environment on my laptop. This additional installer can, and does, configure itself to work with Apache. However, it requires that I designate path information in some boxes during the install process. I can clearly see, if I go into a DOS box by way of running CMD, that these files and directories do exist. However, using the GUI of Windows, and seperately of the installer, these files and directories appear to be hidden and/or do not exist. Therefore, although the software I am installing is capable of self-interfacing with the Apache Web Server, I can not get it to do since the installer can not find the neccessary files and directories. As my question says, how do I get Windows out of my way so I can see every file and directory all of the time so I need not worry about this stuff? If it means anything, I am running this on a HP G71-340US Notebook laptop with Windows 7 Home Premiium 64 bit.Hugh, I would have expected that to work based upon the suggestion, but it didn't. :( I still can't see the hidden files and directories. :( more

I am desperate here! I worked so hard on it, and accidentally deleted it off my USB. I went to check if it was in the Recycle Bin but it wasn't. I've heard that files are never gone for good after you delete them. Please tell me how I can recover them. I've already downloaded countless File Recovery programs, but none have succeeded in retrieving my deleted PowerPoint. Open Question: How can I recover a file in Liquid Story Binder 4.01?

I'm looking for help from someone who knows the Liquid Story Binder XE software very well. I've been using LSB version 4.01 to draft a novel. I had created a Workspace with a Planner, several Builders, and 2 Outlines. I was working in 1 outline, the most detailed one, and encountered a big problem. After typing a new item, I went to click the "Move Right" arrow to indent it. I must've hit something else, because suddenly the whole program closed. I had enabled Auto Save on Close, so when I reopened LSB my Workspace had been saved. However, I can't open the particular Outline I'd been working on. I know it's still there because the title of the outline still appears in my File List and in my Book's outline Library. But when I click on the title, nothing happens. This outline had a lot of important information that isn't saved anywhere else. If I have to start from scratch, I know I won't be able to get back everything I worked on. I have searched through the Help folders, but couldn't find any information on troubleshooting. I contacted Black Obelisk, but so far haven't got an answer. What can I do? more

I have around 2000 music tracks from years ago, way before ID3 tags were around and would like to fill in the correct information, but I'd like to find software to do this for me without having to do it one by one. I've tried Fixtunes which is awful, I've tried Tunatic which is too slow and has a limited library, I've also tried Musicbrainz Picard but still no joy.i have tries tidysongs but still i want better. Open Question: How to capture Xbox 360 Video+Audio in at least 720p?

I bought a Dazzle capture card about a year ago, but I play all of my games in 720p on my TV, and it looks terrible in 480 (which I have to play in if I record with the dazzle). Is there any way I can capture gameplay from my 360 and can transfer it to my laptop? I have seen YouTube montages in 720p on the xbox 360 and I haven't ever been able to find any HD capture software. I have also heard that HD footage cannot be transfered through USB ports at real time because the USB port cannot support that much information that fast. Is this true? I have found capture hardware/software that has "HD" in the name, but only records in 480. How can I get a true HD capture of my gameplay?? more

Open Question: Defense Center Virus?

My computer was recently infected with the Defense Center Virus. I got information on it, and was able to remove it using Malwarebytes Virus Remover. After the virus was gone, my computer worked great for two or three days. Then, I went to turn it on one day, and a black screen with white writing come on, telling me that a new software or hardware changed may have affected the operation of my computer. It gives me the options of starting my computer normally, in safe mode with networking, normal safe mode, or to the last known good configuration. The only way my computer will start is if I start it in safe mode without networking. All of the other ways just take me back to that black and white screen. What can I do to fix my computer now? I really do not want to have to take it somewhere to get fixed. Is there anything I can do on my own? more

Voting Question: What is the best way to become a software engineer/developer if I have a BA degree in business?

I'm seeking for a little advice, because I want to change my career path way, but my current education is based on BA business with ICT (arts type) degree, but I want to continue to study in completely different field. I always liked programming, html, flash and other web technologies and I was always interested in computing. Most universities allow to do masters degree in this field only if you have previous science degree, but I don't want to do another BA science degree all over again in order to get masters science degree. Also there will be a lo of information, which I already know from my current studies. I can study throughout all Europe (UK, Germany, Denmark.... ) as long as course is based on English language. Maybe you was in the same situation and have a good advice for me? Or you know good universities, which have masters programmes for people in the same situation like me? Also I found that Edinburgh Napier has few masters programmes, which are based on basic previous knowledge. Maybe you can advice me if this programmes is any good? Hi, I was hoping someone could help with a very frustrating problem I have. As mentioned above, my webcam is not recognized by my Toshiba A505-S6033. I tried installing the drivers from the Toshiba web site, however this made no difference. In the Toshiba User Guide it says: The Web Camera software, by default, should already be running. The Web Camera indicator light glows when the Web Camera is active. For more information on the software, click Start, All Programs, TOSHIBA, Utilities, and then Web Camera Application Help. Web Camera App Help is not even an option! I have Windows 7, 64 Bit os. Your suggestions are very much appreciated.Thanks for your answers however none of it works.
