Open Question: Why is the whole Muslim Community suffering cause of some arrongant brutes?

To start with I respect ur opinion on us Muslims everyone has their own but i'd like to know why are the rest of us, who are peaceful, educated enough and are the same as anyone of u out there suffering cause of some who aren't even Muslims to begin with?...I do not understand how people can blame everyone for the mistakes they have never done...When i travel around foreign places, they almost strip everything off our bodies while the non-muslims are allowed to just pass through the scanner...dint we have any respect, any dignity? Cant we be treated the way we deserve?...i feel like a piece of virus when i am treated with so much hostility. If we Muslims can respect other religions even though some dont i agree why can't the rest respect us?...We are called terrorists, bombers, burden on this earth....how would we be feeling at that? it really hurts to see people treating us like dirt and rubbish...i wish we could live in peace and not punish others for someone else's mistakes...we suffer cause of people who "say" they are Muslims...why cant we live in peace? why? Thanks for reading this...thanks for answering with peace and calm... more

Open Question: Why is Streaming Video still a little choppy?

I have a Compaq Presario with a 2.4GHz Intel P4 processor and 1.5GB RAM. Because I am a pretty heavy gamer, I had to upgraded the Video Card. I upgraded the Video Card to an Nvidia GeForce 8400GS (512MB) and for the sake of better viewing... I bought an Acer X223W 22" Flat Screen monitor. Before the upgrades, I could NOT play games like Resident Evil 5 and some other newer games but when I watched video online (like from Hulu) it was always ok on the built in video. This also happens on several other video sites like Fancast, Free Videos Online, and some others. I have been watching these sites almost every day for about 4 months. After the upgrades, I can play games like RE5, COD Airborne, and some other high end games but now, video streaming from on-line is a little choppy. DVD Movies play Perfect and crystal clear and all the games I run are very smooth (unless something runs in the background, like an update, then I can tell when it happens). What is going on here? I thought the upgrade from 64MB video to 512MB Video and from 512MB RAM to 1.5GB RAM would improve the video streaming but it apparently has gotten slightly worse. I have DSL and with 2 computers, I am using a Netgear Router. I can tell the router has nothing to do with it because if I plug in my old monitor to the built in video, it plays seamlessly and when I put the flat screen on the old video, it too is fine... My bandwidth (according to Speedtest) is at 2.88Mbps Down and 0.58Mbps Up. Why is the newer, higher RAM card showing videos a bit choppy??? Although I do computer repairs... this one is beyond my understanding. Also, I have run virus and spyware scanners with no results found (because I run them on a regular basis). I have also ran 2 registry cleaners I have used for years... they help to speed up the system but still haven't touched the video streaming. Thanks in advance. . more

Open Question: I need help with vundo trojan?

Hi, recently I got the vundo trojan on my laptop. I thought I had removed it successfully using Malwarebytes' anti-malware. For a week or so my computer was working great but when I just booted up my laptop, vundo was back. I did some more research and people say that recurrences of vundo are very common because the virus is constantly downloading an adding so many new files that most Malware scanners can't keep up with it. So all the sites I go to saying I need to get some anti-virus software with real time scanning in order to keep up with the virus. That costs quite a bit money though and I have a solution of my own that might work, but I want some second opinions before I try it. Okay so here it is, because vundo needs an internet connection to download new files and crap to keep itself updated, what if I disconnected the internet on my laptop for awhile(say a couple of weeks) and then installed Malwarebytes on another computer downloaded the updates and transferred the updates via CD to my laptop? Then while the laptop is still disconnected from the internet run the updated version of Malwarebytes and maybe it would detect all of the old vundo files, which are out of date, because it wasn't able to download new ones via the internet as the internet was turned off. It makes since to me that this would work but I would like your opinions on it. Also if you have another (free) method that you have had success with while removing vundo please let me know as I really don't want to spend any money to get rid of this thing. Thanks.Oh and I forgot to mention I have already tried both VundoFix and VirtumundoBeGone with no luck. more

Open Question: Firefox and Internet Explorer will not open?

Firefox and Internet Explorer will not launch on my computer. I have tried many tips from forums and other searches but nothing has worked. I have run the virus scanner (Norton Internet Security) on my computer but nothing has come up. I am also running Spybot as well but it has not detected anything. What could it be? Is there a virus or trojan that my virus scanner is not picking up? What should I do? Here are a few other things I have tried: renaming firefox.exe to firefox3.exe, opening in safemode, restarting/shutting down my computer, using Run, ending firefox processes in Task Manager. I would try reinstalling firefox and internet explorer but I found on forums that it did not work for others who are having the same issue as me.I have already tried typing firefox.exe into Run. more

Open Question: Can a Fake Scanner block the (index server, exe.,mmorpg launchers)....?

Alright a more descriptive version... Okay, I got 1 of those fake virus scanners in january off of a porn website that I thought I toke care of, when I put my computer in safe mode I got confused and started windows normally which to my surprise made the scanner disappear from frequent popping up and wasn't on the desktop. But to my attention after wards I was unable to do certain common activity's, some of these are MMORPGs,sending stuff through yahoo, uploading packs to media fire, upgrading clients for games etc. etc. So I've tried some tutorials and checked google in hopes of relief but nothing came up. Does anyone have any way to fix or personal experience with this problem, is it possible for a virus, trojan,or fake scanner to block the index server or block internet access to games, uploading, exe files and updating? more

Open Question: microsoft problems (to do with windows live etc)?

I think my computer is having microsoft problems, i can't download anything new from microsoft, i have tried to download the windows live several times but as soon as i click on the link saying download the internet goes white and nothing comes up. The old msn messenger works but i can't download the new one. Then on fanfiction net i was posting stories up until last month when it wouldn't allow me to publish. In a forum someone said they had the same problem saying 'I looked at Fanfiction.net's source code and found it was making links to microsoft.com Stupidly I had a virus which blocked me from connecting to microsoft, so a virus scan with Avast removed the problem and now the site works correctly.' However i've used Avast and it come up with no problems and i tried another anti virius scanner (Spyware) it had minor virius' but i corrected them but still it's not working. Sorry if this is long and doesn't make much sense but i'm rubbish with computers so laymans terms please if you know what's wrong. Thanks. =) more

Open Question: Why is limewire virus filled and unsafe?

I mean like is it unsafe because the loads of bad files on there, that can be simply avoided though by watching filesize, file extension, and get a decent scanner, so that doesn't make sense to me, but is their exploits that allow other users to crack into your computer and take advantage of it through limewire? which makes it unsafe, i'm looking for facts, no guesstimated opinions please.so far it looks like opinions, that professional probably doesn't know why it's unsafe though, theirs just a lot of cases of viruses doesn't mean it's unsafe, everything i've heard so far can be prevented if you're not a retard, so it is safe for me because I can avoid everything mentioned so far, but if their is some kind of exploit thats what I need to know about, that would be unsafe and unpreventable. more

Open Question: How can i stop my PC games lagging?

There is nothing wrong with my computer, or video card and so on. In fact it was all upgraded and everything was working great :) then all of a sudden now everything is lagging :( its not hard drive space because i have 5 hard drives and they are each about 300GB and the main C/: has over 10GB of space left. Open Question: Does Deviant Art have viruses?

A lot of the time when I go to Deviant Art, and I'm just looking through some pics or something a random internet scanner will pop up saying I have viruses and if you click it off it will still do the scan, and if you click that off well than deviant art closes to. Its happened more than five times. I haven't got any viruses but I think its strange it only happens on Deviant Art. It doesn't even have to be when I'm looking at pics, it could be when I'm updating my profile, voting for a poll, submitting art, etc. And its damned annoying. more

Open Question: Terrified of virus attack?

I suddenly got this pop-up window from some thing called Personal Scanner. It says I have 11 virus threats and if I leave the page, there's risk of a system crash. When I started to run it, I got a Windows dialogue box that told me files of this type may be unsafe, do I want to continue? I said no but I'm scared to close the scanner window. I have a whole novel on my laptop, and out-of-date virus Symantec virus protection. I can't afford a crash!! What should I do? By the way, I have run scans before and I never got any threats detected. Also, I was a fairly unsafe site when I got the pop-up. I think it's virulent, but what do you think?Sorry, posted this in wrong category by mistake :( more

Voting Question: Internet Problem along with Virus Problem?

One thing to note: In earlier discussions of this general subject I seemed to others to have ignored, and if I had done that, I apologize. I have followed many peoples guides to the best of my ability, but almost all suggest I update my scanners (such as Anti-Malwarebytes, or Spyware Doctor) but the damn virus blocks the internet, does anyone have any suggestions on how to regain my internet access? Please note that I have followed the prompt that tells you to change your lan proxy settings, even though this was already set before the virus came along, due to a earlier virus. So please help. Please note that I have tried accessing the internet through Safe Mode with networking, so please also include how to re-install Windows if necessary, as I am unsure how to do this. more

Resolved Question: How to locate a viruses source without scanners/software?

k i got some virus, and it has total control over my computer, and i can't install anything because it won't let me. even getting on my internet is a hassle, i have to search for the "dell internet security" under history and favorites to get to my internet, and i can't access AVG, which is my anti-virus software. So, how can i locate the viruses source? ive already searched for processors like drguard.exe unistall.exe av.exe and things like that, also i can't back up and restore for a fresh start because it won't let me access my restore center. (sometimes i can get by it, but then it asks what i want to open it with, and nothing i try to open it with works) I know some virus is hijacking my browser and i know it could either be either of the 2 current rouge anti-spyware security under the names of Dr. guard, and vista guardian, or it could be something else im not aware of. more

Resolved Question: I think my Computer might contain a virus??!?

I was checking my email a couple of days ago, and I got an email from "UPS". There was an attachment and I opened it. I thought it was OK because my email scanned it, and said it was safe. As soon as it went into my computer, everything shut down. I couldn't get it back on for a couple of hours, and when I did I couldn't find the file to delete it. I did a full scan, searched the computer manually,de-fragmented the computer, and locked down the fire wall. Finally after a few more hours, the scan finished, and I'm pretty sure I got the virus out. But! Latley, every now and then one of the web pages im on will go blank, and a window will pop up saying that there could be a virus in my computer and that I shouldn't 'x out' the current page. Then the page turns into one of those fake pictures of your computer's scanner. It proceeds to tell me that I have 47 trojans, 32 viruses, etc. If I try to close it another window comes up saying "Your computer contains spyware! Click Cancel to stay on the current page, and fix it. Click Ok to continue" Like its saying are you sure?? its been happening a lot lately, and I think it might have something to do with that fake UPS email. Help!!?? Thanx more

Voting Question: Spamming Virus, help please.?

I live in a student house with 6 people, and our internet keeps getting suspended due to a computer sending out spam. All our virus scanners say they are okay, and our wireless is secure and we recently changed the password (its really complicated). How can we fix this? How can we figure out whose computer is it, and how to find the virus (I am assuming thats what it is) that is causing the computers to send out spam? Thank you in advance :)The company has already asked that we download that and we all have the free malwarebytes thing, full scan. They all show that there is nothing wrong, so I don't know what else to do more

Voting Question: Computer keeps hiccuping or stuttering during media playback. What do I do to fix it?

My computer keeps stuttering during playback of movies and songs. I will be listening to iTunes and looking at stuff on the internet, and I'll get this REALLY IRRITATING randomly occurring stutter. What's going on with this? It seems to be getting worse as the days go by. I am about at my wits end with this. I have Windows XP Home on an Acer Aspire One 1.6Ghz processor with 1 gig of ram. I severely doubt it's processing speed. What's going on? Any way to fix this? I have cleaned up my hdd, defragmented, used a virus scanner, and deleted a bunch of stuff as well. I've even set iTunes to be higher priority in the task manager. I am at a loss. Please help! Thanks!I don't know if i mentioned this, but the amount of programs I'm running is low. 2, maybe 3. I might run AIM, iTunes, and Firefox, or Firefox, iTunes, and a comicbook viewer. Sometimes even just Firefox and iTunes. more

Resolved Question: Free Download of Virus Scanner?

Okay I think my computer is infected with a virus. I recently updated mozilla foxfire and then everything started going wrong. I can't open internet explorer webpage as it just comes up with "Your last browsing session closed unexpectedly" and then that it freezes on that little window. And when i try to go around it by using mozilla it comes up "We're sorry Firefox had a problem and crashed." I have any McAfee virus protection but for some reason it now says it's not installed properly (which it was before) and that I have to re-install but i can't because i can't open a webpage to do so. The internet still works as i can use iTunes but that's about it. So i was thinking i could get a free virus software and download it from another computer to a memory stick and then install it on my computer. Is this the right thing to do and can you recommend any that will help me? If it's not then what should I do? Thanks more

Resolved Question: I have a virus on my computer help!?

I use Avast! Antivirus and it's perfect for catching viruses, but my Windows Vista keeps popping up saying it detected viruses. There is software I have to buy for it, I have 31 of them. It will just keep randomly popping up. I am running an Avast scanner and it hasn't detected anything yet, but it's only 3% done and has been running for a good two hours now. --I am only 13 years old so please use words I can understand and make directions for removal easier for me to understand please!-- What can I do for removal? Thank you everybody for all your help! :) I downloaded the Malwarebytes and it's currently scanning! :) Keep your answers coming though! I could still use recommendations I trust all you guys! (Except Norton, I know Norton suxx, they did nothing about the virus on my sisters home PC) Avast normally worked for me, but it hasn't even caught the virus. -_-' 15 hours ago Ok it re-popped up so I know what it says for sure now! So it's Antivirus Vista 2010 unregistered version. It says I have 31 infected files. That's what I got. Let me know if you need any more details! 15 hours ago ******PLEASE READ THIS TOO!!******Ok, I used the Malwarebytes scan and they said I have 79! I think all of them besides two or something were ROGUES? So I hit delete all and it said restart to complete, but when I hit the button to restart it said error, and it didn't restart. What should I do? more

Open Question: Computer keeps telling me "Windows mail could not be started"..... yup, this is Vista?

"WinMail.exe" tells me "The application was unable to open the message store. You Windows mail data is currently being used by another program such as a virus scanner. Close the program of wait for it to complete its operation, then open windows mail again." I hit "OK" then next pops up: "Windows mail could not be started because MSOE.DLL could not be initialized" This happens when I try to send an e-mail from another web site's address book. I think it's my security, so I shut if off, but still get the same message. Any ideas? Thanks. more
