I was like “shit, I’ve seen her, I’m attracted to her, I’m going to try and see if anything is possible here.” I think I noticed her first because she seemed really relaxed, then started getting fidgity. I didn’t think to take note of when it started but it was going on when tehre was like a hour left. It was just normal introduction stuff in class,the teacher rambled on about class and how its cool. I glanced over a few times at her. Were way to far to make eye contact it was a auditorium with 3 collumns of seats. She was way on the other side of the room so no kind of communication was possible unless I wanted to make everyone think I’m crazy by takling ot this person way on the other sid eof the room. So I just play it cool, were let out early. After class I run to the bathroom, ask I’m walking to my bus I pass the other bus stop that goes the opposite way I catch her boarding the bus. I don’t talk to her, and id on’t think she could have noticed me. I just walk by and go to mine thinking, “ wow I gotta try this at least, idk I might be crazy and connecting things that don’t mean to b econnected.” The next time that class meets I come prepared. I wanna come early to sit on the side of the room she was sitting on, I know she’s probally gonna be there early, my hope is to sit a row or 2 behind her. I’m late because I went to the bathroom to comb my hair. I rush in and go to my big side not thinking because I heard the teacher talking in the auditorium. Shes on the side I was, And almost where I was sittnig last time. She seemed to timid to me to do that, I was thinking I’d have to blatantly show interest. So I was like shit man shit just got real. I sit down way behind her because class was in session. I was probally 3 min late. Then I think it might not be her because her hair is straightened and I’ve never ever seeen her do that, shes also wearing different clothes then I’m used to seeing her in. It wasn’t better but it was different then anyting I’ve seen her wear before. I glance a few times and play with my glasses in my mouth the whole time trying to figure out if I’m dreaming or not. Class goes through. I paid pretty good attention.I pack fast so I can talk to her hoping she would to, she was slow. SO I was like “shit” then I just left and walked slow, stopped to tie my shoes she didn’t show, but I don’t know which patah to the bus she takes so I couldn’t go near her bus stop and have it be fruitful. I bought new shoes and wore them today. I had to stop and buy some huge bandaids to stop them from giving me blisters! They're rubbing on my heel. The weird thing is, it feels like it's digging into my heel, but at the same time my heel moves against the back of the shoe as I walk. They're pinching my toes a little too (didn't notice that at the store), so I don't think the problem is the shoe being too big. My feet tend to be a little sweaty, can that cause extra rubbing? And what can I do to stop this? Do the shoes just need to be broken in? more

I have terrible foot pain lately. Not everyday, walk-it-off pain, but real crippling pain in my feet, ankles and heels. I work in a restaurant, and just got new orthopedic shoes with arch support, but I have flat feet. Could this be the problem? I'm 16yrs old female. Not a complete beginner runner. I've started running more regularly in the past month (~6-8km), but since last week-ish I've had very sore muscles. More liking aching pain, mainly in/around my calves, and hamstring. I've tried to do slow runs/walks while it goes away but its been almost 2 weeks and it has improved very little. When I run, I warm up and do easy stretches, then taking it slow and building up my speed, then do a cool down. With this muscle pain even my knees and feet/heels joints have become sore. This happened once before but it took only couple days for the pain to pass. Is it something to do with my running style/shoes? Not doing enough stretches/good enough warm ups? Should I see a doctor? Any tips? Is this common in runners?? more

Open Question: What can I do about my ankle?

I sprained my ankle about a month ago. I haven't got my ankle checked by a doctor, because I don't have insurance. My ankle got better as the month passed, but during, and after I play football it hurts, but not that much. It hurts enough to make me not walk with my whole foot. It hurts even more when I walk without a shoe on. When I don't play football, or any other sport it doesn't hurt, but when I take my shoes off it hurts, even though I didn't play any sports. What can I do, besides going to a doctor? By the way it did swell up when I sprained it, and I iced it for a couple of days, and the swelling is gone. more

well i am convinced that i have achilles tendonitis. i went to my doctor today and she said it was just hurting from overuse. i do not believe her cuz i have all the symptons and almost all the causes too. symptoms tht i have: sudden onset of pain in a period of days pain in the heel and tendon hurts when i excersize but then it goes away feels better after rest and ice Causes i have: new tennis shoes sudden increase of running possibly overuse i really want to go to a specalist but i have to wait 4 more days to have a follow up appointment at my doctor and if its the same or worse they will refer me to a specalist. i am very frustrated because i know i have it and they think it will go away with rest but i dont have crutches so i will be walking on it all day in school anyway. do you think i have it? if not what do you think i have? could it be a rupture? should i press seeing a specalist?? any other advice i would really appreciate! p.s. it had doubled in pain in the past few days then today the pain doubled again and it still hurts with meds. help!!! oh and sorry this was so long more

Sorry this is so long but please read it! Ok I am 16 years old. I live with my mom and sister. My moms sister(That would make her my aunt) and her family are the biggest freeloaders ever! My aunt comes over uninvited, she will even walk inside with family and people we don't even know uninvited when NO ONE IS HOME! When I told her she walked away and didn't say anything to her daughter! Her daughter comes over and goes through my book shelf, closet, drawers, and asks my mom if she can borrow my stuff. Of course my mom says yes but I dont get any of it back. I keep telling my mom to stop but she wants to be known as the good aunt! My aunt and her family always complain about money. They say they are broke. They had my mom buy them the hot water tank, spare tires, and my mom had to help them with rent once. They say they are broke but they come over multiple times and go on ebay to buy 200 dollar cell phones, ipods, and shoes! When I tell mom they are taking advanged of her she just says thats what family does. I remember when my parents were together christmas was terrible because of her. She would watch us open presents. After every present she would cry because she didnt get one for her kids. Then on christmas she would bring her kids over to play with my stuff and it would break. I got a drum set for christmas one year. That same day my cousin popped a hole in it. I cryed for a hours. They have almost killed our family dog jackson many times. They hold the door open knowing he will run out in traffic and he has. They let there little 7 year old mentally retarded kid walk him by him self when no one is home. He has even let go of the leash. Luckly I was at my neighbors and I heard it happen so I just ran after the dog. My aunt says its not there familys fault because he is only 7 and she didnt know my dog was so strong.No really he is retarded. He pooped on our couch once and his family never offered to clean it. Doesnt surprise me though. They used to make the poor kid sit in his poopy diapers until my mom would come and change it. Her family kicks me off the couch because I am younger and have a stronger back but they let there 4 kids sit on it. I dont wanna say anything to them though because I get called a grouch. When I tell my mom she calls me a little bitch and then I have to spend the night at my dads and worry about if the dog will live the night. It has gotten so bad that I dont love them, like them, in the matter of fact I hate them and the world would be better off without them! I dont want them touching our stuff because there son has temper tantrums and breaks our stuff. His mom sits there and lets him. My mom has to take it away from him. He has tried to break our wii and he has broke my moms old clock. I dont know why my aunt had 4 kids when she cant even take care of a dog. Animal control keeps getting called on her for " some reason" as she likes to put it! How can I stop them? What should I tell them without acting like a crazy person? I have been wearing tennis shoes all my life but I don't play tennis. I like them because they are comfortable and I love knowing that I can also run or jog in them if I need to. I have noticed that there seem to be less tennis shoes at the store than there used to. It seems like cross training shoes are phasing out tennis shoes. My question is should I consider switching to cross training shoes. I would like to wear the shoes all day so most of what I would be doing is just light walking and standing but I would still like to be able to exercise in them if I need to. Should I switch from tennis shoes to cross trainers? I am thinking of going with Kswiss Tubes but I really don't know if I should even be considering cross trainers. more

We have just moved into a new house and so have a few other people, including a woman with 3 children who are 11, 6 and 2 and the 2 eldest are a knightmare. An 8-year-old girl so tiny that her mouth was hidden by the witness stand testified Wednesday that she saw her uncle stab her mother moments before he cut the girl's throat. Edgar Murga The child spoke briefly in Spanish through an interpreter about seeing Edgar Murga kill her mother at their east Oak Cliff home in June 2009. When asked if she saw her uncle in the courtroom, the girl initially said she didn't. But as she glanced around, she quickly looked away when she looked in the direction of Murga, who is charged with capital murder in the slaying of his 32-year-old sister-in-law, Alma Arenas-Perez. When Dallas County prosecutor Kendall Castello asked the girl how she felt when she saw her uncle stab her mother, the girl replied that she was "sad." "He stuck it in here," the girl said, pointing to her chest. "In my mother's chest." Then, the girl told jurors, "he cut my neck and then he left." She and her mother lay side by side on the bedroom floor, covered in blood, until the girl's stepfather, Jose Llamas Rodriguez, found them a few hours later. "I couldn't get up," said the girl, who has a white scar on the right side of her neck. Llamas Rodriguez testified that he had spent the night at his in-laws' house because he had been drinking and using cocaine with Murga during a family gathering there. Murga, who is married to a sister of Arenas-Perez, took Llamas Rodriguez's keys and told him he was too drunk to drive. Arenas-Perez had left with the girl and their 2-year-old son because she didn't want to be around them. Murga, who was in the country illegally, initially went to sleep in the same house as Llamas Rodriguez, but authorities say that about 4:30 a.m., he woke up and went to the home of the victims. After the attack, they say, he returned to where Llamas Rodriguez was to give him a ride home. Around 8 a.m., Murga dropped off Llamas Rodriguez at the house and told him: "I'll see you later so we can have some fajitas." The front door was unlocked and Llamas Rodriguez began searching for his family. He went to his wife first. "I touched her and she was already cold," said Llamas Rodriguez, who testified through an interpreter. "She wouldn't move." At first he didn't know the girl had survived. "I realized she was alive when I started screaming and she woke up," Llamas Rodriguez told jurors. He called 911. Before help arrived, the girl told him that Murga was the one who stabbed them, Rodriguez testified. "The only thing she told me was that it had been Edgar, that Edgar had come in," he said. A Dallas Fire-Rescue firefighter-paramedic who took the girl to the hospital testified that he was shocked by the amount of blood he saw as he walked toward the bedroom. "That's either a bright red room or that's a lot of blood," Justin Miller said he recalled thinking to himself. "This is not going to be good." Then, when he saw the girl, "she looked dead." Castello and co-prosecutor Brandon Birmingham told jurors in opening statements that Murga attacked his sister-in-law and niece "for reasons we may never explain." Castello also told jurors that Murga had his sister-in-law's blood on his pants and shoes. While questioning a witness, Castello also indicated that skin from Murga's hand was found in the victim's teeth. "He did not kill," Castello said. "He brutalized and slaughtered Alma." Okay so I have a best friend and we have been since we were like 7. She has always been really REALLY quiet with everyone but me and my other friends find this quite weird, is this weird? if it is, what should I do about it? anyways...I went to her sleepover the other day (just me and her) and we stayed out till about 8.00pm which isn't really that late if we are 13. Open Question: Do I have a stress fracture even though my metatarsal only hurts when I stand on the ball of my foot?

So four weeks ago I broke my fourth toe on my left foot. I was walking on the beach and walked into a rock. For the next four weeks I wore a post-op wooden shoe and favored the right side of my foot (the big toe/second toe). About a week ago I took my boot off to test the state of my toe/foot. I tried rising up to my tip-toes (demi pointe) and found that besides a little pain in my healing toe, my second metatarsal felt tender and tight (almost like it needed to be stretched). I brushed it off as my foot being a little rusty from a lack of movement and carried on tending my fourth toe. About a week later (monday) I tested my foot again and found that the space between my first two toes/my second metatarsal was sore to the touch and significantly hurt when i went up to demi pointe. It doesn't hurt when I walk. Just when I go up to demi pointe and/or apply a lot of pressure. Is this a stress fracture from favoring that side of my foot? Is it possibly a stress reaction? Is it something else? Why does it only hurt when I stand on the ball of my foot? I'm a ballet dancer and a very important audition is a little over three weeks away so I'm terribly nervous/distraught.I checked webmd but they give really broad information so I was wondering if anyone had a more specific opinion. more

Open Question: I was trying to get my girlfriend pregnant without her knowing?

I have kept track of the days she is most fertile. Last month we had sex during the time she was fertile, and I pretended to put a condom on but really didn't. She thought we were having safe sex. Anyway, I put it in and we had sex, for maybe under a minute, before I felt bad and pulled it out before ejaculating. Later I regretted that and just wished I could go back and finish. I was just diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. My pain is located on the side of my right foot (where that bump is). It sometimes causes aching through my arch as well, but the worst of the pain is on the side of my foot. I am a walker (3-5 miles a day). My doctor suggested that I get top of the line walking shoes. Good shoes are key. He mentioned New Balance and Saucauny. But said that it really depends on what my foot finds relief from. So, my question is this.......there are HUNDREDS of different shoes out there. So, to all people who also suffer from side-of-foot plantar fasciitis, what are the best walking shoes you have found? ....just trying to find a starting point. Thanks!@ Douglas: You're an idiot. Anyone with a brain knows that your foot needs good support. And when the muscles/tendons are damaged, you need really good support even more. Why? Simple: to help take the stress and weight off of your foot so that your foot can begin to heal itself. Surgery is another option if things get worse, but good shoes are ESSENTIAL. I'm a dancer and can vouch for this. You are a complete idiot if you honestly think it doesn't matter. Open Question: Dog has a split tooth?

My puppy is a BC and 9weeks old. yesterday i was walking and she bit my pants as i was stepping fwd. They were sweats with a zipper on the bottom and we figure her tooth got caught in the little whole connecting the zipper. She made a face so i knew something with her tooth. I looked and i could see the bottom part was missing and there was blood. When i looked under the light inside i saw that it was split weird and it was broken bottom but the part there had different splits. I was planning on taking her to the vet today to get it pulled if it is causing her pain. i cant wear trainers really cos i get blisters i have to wear those flat shoes all the time and even then if i walk for more than ten minutes i get blisters... the ones on the bottom of my feet dont hurt fortunately, but on the sides and back they really do. Open Question: My horse is coming home?

My horse is coming home after being broken in at a yard nearby. She is Walking and trotting on and off the lunge with a rider on her. What i was planning to do was to carry on schooling her lightly until november and then giving her the winter off, and bringing her back in to work around March or April. When i would start schooling her getting her balanced and cantering with a rider on her back. I wouldn't be starting jumping until she was roughly 4 and a half and even then it would only be small (not above 2ft 6). What exercises should i do with her up until November time? I was planning on just getting her completely comfortable with a ride on her back and start working on getting her on the bit and using her hind quarters effectively also i'm assuming i should prehaps be doing some small hacks, so she wasn't just in the school every time she was ridden. Should i? We live in the countryside so there wouldn't be much road work involved, if any atall. Also would i for the first few times ride with another person on a horse or just with someone walking? She hasn't got shoes on at the moment and i was going to leave them off until she came back in to work next year when she will be 4? Also when she comes home, tonight ;) I was going to give her friday and saterday off and Lunge her on The sunday? Does this sound alright, or should i give her more time to settle back in? Directed by Gurinda Chadha, and released in 2002, Bend it like Beckham managed to make the wedding scene elaborate and radiant, by using effective camera shots, intricate costumes and well-suited music. This review will discuss how they managed to achieve this elaborate vibe. The music in the wedding scene of Bend it like Beckham always seems to perfectly suit the moment. They have used the music to show us the mood, the setting and what is happening. There are very few moments where there is no music playing and these moments are always very serious. One example of this is when Jess’s father walks outside in the middle of the pre-wedding celebrations, because he sees Joe outside the house. The music gradually gets softer and when it gets up to the part where Joe is talking to Jess, there is no music anymore. This is because it is a very serious and important section. It is also to contrast it with the liveliness of the party. One example when the music is not Indian themed, is when Jess is taking a free kick in the grand final. It is slow, churchlike and operatic. The song is called Nessun Dorma and it turns into a major key when Jess is kicking the ball. This music is very powerful and shows how important this moment is, especially to Jess. The Indian themed music is mainly used during all scenes that are at Jess’s house. The music works superbly at all of the pre-wedding celebrations. It is sometimes a blend between techno and traditional, but it is always fast-paced, slightly minor, and often has a strong beat. All of the music used is ideal for what they need and is therefore, stunning. The costumes that Gurinda Chadha has used throughout the wedding scene of Bend it like Beckham are impressive and eye-catching. All the people of the Indian culture in this movie dress using many bright colours which is contrasted with the dull, unadorned clothes of English culture. Even the men wear very brightly coloured clothes compared to the plain clothes that English men wear. During the wedding scene, most of the men wear neutral trousers, colourful shirts and a turban; although, the groom wears a white shirt and pants and shoes with gold patterns on the edge, along with a pale red, Indian patterned scarf and a pale red turban. They make an obvious comparison of the difference in style between the men in these cultures when Joe turns up at the Bhamra’s the night before the wedding. The well-adorned clothes of the Mr Bhamra are contrasted with the Joe’s plain black suit with a white shirt underneath. A third example of the decorative Indian wear compared to the plain English wear is when Jess is getting changed from her soccer uniform, back into her pink wedding sari. The soccer uniform is mainly white with a little bit of red on it, and is now very dirty. Jess’s teammates help Jess change out of that and into her perfectly clean, ankle length sari that has gold edges and gold dots on the big sash. Gurinda Chadha definitely created the striking effect she was after. Gurinda Chadha has used countless different camera angles and shots to create all of the amazing effects that were used during the wedding scene. By using different camera rotations, angles, distances and speeds, a wide range of effects have been created that have helped us to feel the moods in the scenes. A great example of this is when we have a very long shot of the Bhamra’s house the night before the wedding. We can see their house with bright lights on standing next to all of the other houses, which are in complete darkness. The music is lively party music is still playing in the background, and because of all of this, we can tell how big their celebrations really are. Another example of the fantastic ways that they use their camera, is when Jess is spinning, on the night before the wedding, with something [I’m not sure what it is] balanced on her head, the camera is at eye level spinning in circles from Jess’s point of view, gradually increasing speed as Jess does. The best part of this shot is how they decided to film it from Jess’s perspective. It really gives us a good idea of what Jess is feeling in this part of the movie. Umm let's say my name is Sarah, and my best friend is Laura. And let's call my other best friend Bob. We've all been friends all summer. I have a danceclass first thing in the morning. I don't have much time to change between dance and my academic class that follows. Is there any way to take my plain dance clothes and make them appropriate as dancewear? Walking around in sweats and a tank just looks too lazy and unkept for me. I tend to lean towards the more classic and/or alternative looks. Either very classy and polished or very "out there". Not preppy, not high fashion, not ghetto. Resolved Question: I GOT REJECTED FROM EVERY COLLEGE I APPLIED TO, IS IT CAUSE OF MY ESSAY?

My life can best be defined by Murphy's Law: "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong." Maybe it's bad karma from all the mischief I perpetrated as a child, or perhaps I was cursed by gypsies in a past life, but my luck is unusually unfortunate. The only way to relay just how strange and jinxed my world is would be to chronicle each and every peculiar incident, and so I present a condensed excerpt of the bizarre life of Felicia Sackowski. Johnny Depp gazes into my eyes, the glow of the sun behind him. He whispers to me, "Felicia… Felicia… Felicia! Get up for school!" Why didn't I hear my three 6 a.m. alarms? My clock, my phone, my iPod? Not one went off. "Felicia," says my mother, "you'd better hurry up, it's already 7:50." By 8:10, I've gone through the morning rituals. Now, where are my shoes? "Hi, weesha…" I look up to see my grinning one-year-old brother, who has learned to walk and, evidently, learned to steal. After scouring the playpen and the toy chest to no avail, I settle for tennis sneakers and accept in advance the consequential dress code violation. Walking briskly, I spot a panting, ominous raccoon ahead of me on the road. I begin to realize nervously that raccoons don't normally appear in the day, and they certainly don't normally foam at the mouth. Galvanized by images of being devoured by the growling, rabid creature, I run the seven blocks remaining to school- just in time for the closing, "Have a Magnificent Monday!," of the morning prayer, marking the beginning of first period. Following a pop quiz in A.P. Government and Politics and receiving, as a result of my thirty second tardiness, a detention, I stop at the nurse's office for a cup of tea to cure my caffeine migraine. In walks a petite blonde woman to take five medications (all for mental afflictions.) At the sound of my voice, she whirls around, and I recognize the face: It's Jennifer, the head of the guidance department and the person handling my college affairs. I drop by her office during my lunch hour to hand in my transcript requests. The secretary, Mrs. Hannigan, affectionately deemed Clucky the Canasta Mastah, is on the phone for twenty minutes before acknowledging my presence: "Oh, dahling, ya so FUNNY! Did ya tell 'em about ya manicurist? Uh-huh. Okay, I gotta run, I gotta student here waitin', see ya at canasta!" After school, my psychotic "best friend," Connor, grabs me by the arm and ushers me to the art office. His mother, the drama teacher, has smuggled in a zealous Nigerian priest named Joel. Connor promptly locks the door, and announces that Joel has rid him of the "little people in his head." "Feleesha," shouts Joel, "you need to be DELIV-AHD!"
