Ok, when I was 6 years old, my mom and I moved to kentucky, and while there we lived in 2 trailers, an apartment, and then we went to live with my moms boyfriend in the boonies of kentucky, while in kentucky, I never got to have any friends, because we moved back and forth for awhile, and while in kentucky, after I had stayed with my mom for awhile, I ended up going to live with a preacher and his wife, until they found me a foster home, then I lived there for a year, and this happened because my mom fainted because of one of her medicine she took for anxiety, sorry for this being such a long question, but I've been through so much that this is the best I can do for right now... anyways my dad came and picked me up a year after living in the foster home, at the time I was 10. I came to live with my dad, and then all this abuse started.. my dad would, hit me with a belt or paddle aross the face, the stomach, the legs, and he would knock me down to the floor, and stand on top of my legs, and jump up and down on them, while hitting me with a paddle, on the stomach, and chest, and this paddle was 2 inches thick with holes in it, and then he would kick me in the stomach, and legs, and sides, then would drag me into the bathroom, by my ear from the floor, and smack, punch, and bite me on the neck, and shoulders, and would laugh psychotically, and say do you think that's funny, I would end up with black eyes, busted lips, bruises, and bloody noses, because of this I used to cut myself, because it made me feel relaxed... then he raped me, and at that time I was 10 almost 11.. then I was molested 5 times around 11 or 12, by my sisters now exhusband, and I told her about it and she just said oh you know how he is, he likes to kid around, then I was molested by this same sister, when I was 4, then molested by my mom at 8, during a time when I had the flu and had to stay home from school, then I was molested, by these 2 boys that were 11 or 12 one was my uncles friend's son, and the other was my babysitter's step nephew.. then I tried killing myself when I was 12 because of all of this.... and my dad had me so scared of him, and I was so scared of my sister's too that I literally felt as though, I was a prisoner, in my own room, and a slave in my own house, I barely left the house when I was a kid, teenager, and adult, I remember being so scared that for a whole year I didn't speak, I was afraid to go to bed, I was afraid to go to the bathroom, eat, smile, go to school, I was so afraid of him that, when we went to therapy sessions, I couldn't tell the therapist what was really going on at home, because I was afraid that,, he would come in the room and beat me up or kill me, even though the therapist, put the phone next to her, and got up and locked the door, so therapy didn't work, and also when I was 12 I was given a generic form of Ritalin for ADHD and ADD, and because I was so afraid of my dad, when the psychiatrist, looked at me, and asked me if the medicine was working, my dad was looking at me with a mean look on his face, and before hand he was mentioning to the psychiatrist that he didn't think I needed the medicine, and as soon as he said that he looked over at me really fast, and gave me that mean look, as if to tell me I wasn't allowed to take the medicine, so I've had ADD and ADHD most of my life, and felt enslaved in my house until 25, and then at 25 my dad died... so I felt, as if someone came in my house, and unchained the shackles, and set me free, and now finally I can live my own life as I see fit, but I'm still struggling, with all these issues, I still have ADD and ADHD, but I take this medicine called Foucus Factor, and it actually helps me, then I ended up getting high blood pressure, that reached 210 to 220 and my life flashed before my eyes almost like a movie, and then i died... and came back a few minutes later, and while this was all happening, I seen my dad, my sister's, and my brothernlaw all controlling me, ganging up on me, and all this abuse, and I said to myself, I have to start standing up for myself more, even if I have to go to jail, so that also helped me get my life going finally, now, I have all sorts of things to worry about, I have no job, no real friends, no money, no woman to share my life with, I fat, not very tall, I have never been in a relationship with a woman, because when a woman holds my hand or hugs me, I start shaking all over my body, and I feel as if she's violating me in some way, which I know isn't true, but I still feel that way, and I constantly worry about, If I'm good enough, I feel like I'm no good, and I don't deserve anything, plus I worry about when I do finally have a relationship with a woman, if I will hold her hand the right way, kiss her the right way, hug her the right way, make love the right way, if I'll last long enough in bed for her, and if my penis is big enough This is the rest of the question.. for some reason they cut this part out. and as far as I understand, men and women are supposed to communicate with one another, about what they like and don't like, not you, or I are supposed to just all of a sudden, know exactly what to say and do, I don't think it works that way, but I've never been with a woman before, so I don't know, just don't know, anyways can someone please tell me where to go from here, because I barely have anything in my life, I would finally like to get my life started, can you all please help me, I just don't know what to do anymore. more

I got an idea for a horror/action movie. Its JUST like Van Helsing but instead of vampires-werewolves and frankenstein...Freddy Krueger, Jason, Mike Myers, IT and pinhead. And a fearless "van helsing". I was thinking it could be a sequal to the original van helsing who killed the old school monsters and this could be about a man who's ancestor was van helsing...Lol i always loved a good horror movie when theres an actor who isn't scared of the slasher psycho and just goes ape shit..than again..there is no horror movie like that! so i thought this would be a great movie idea of a man who has no fears and laughs at these slasher legends and kicks ass! im sure other people thought of the idea of a new van-helsing with the new monsters but i plan on making a fan trailer on youtube about this movie. so tell me what you think :) and please dont steal my idea! more

i have dated my best friend, but before we dated we were friends since we were 10 and i'm 18 and he is 19. well we dated our junior year of high school, but hurricane Gustav came through and i evacuated. well we kept in touch. we talked on the phone, and stayed on the phone for 5-6 hours at a time. he even played a song for me, a day to remembers " you had me at hello. well i came home, and we went to school and were happy, but a few days shortly after that he broke up with me over myspace, saying he sees me more as his sister as a girlfriend. i was devistated, but i understood where he was coming from. we broke up, didn't talk for 6 months, but we both went to our friends house to spend time with him, well we hung out at his work, and both me and my ex were by ourselves, and we broke the ice. so we talked and he was messing around with my phone, so i leaned across the table to grab it and he kissed me! so after that we clinged together. we went back to our friends trailer and we were laying on the floor(no where else to sleep) and he wrapped his arms around me. to hold, to cuddle with. so i turned over and cuddled into him. then he began kissing me. and lets say it got hot and heavy with us that night, but we didn't do anything.(he's waiting for marriage) so the next morning we come home, and so it started over we were happy, but then he sends me a text message saying he doesn't want to hurt me so he doesn't want to lead me on. so again we stop talking. but let me get to the point we start talking again. well, now it is the summer and we were at one of friends for a movie night. we were watching mirrors, and i get nervous when he bounces his leg, so i keep putting my hand on his knee to stop the bouncing, nothing else. well, the movies proceeds and i lean on him cause i'm pretty smushed and can't really move, and hey he's my best friend he's okay with it. so next thing i know he is adjusting himself closer to me. so i lay my head down on his houlder, cause i am very tired.(i really was) then next thing i know he has his head on top of mine. then he is holding my hand and wrapping his arms around me. well movie ends and we leave. i bring him home. i stop in front of his house and he says, i'll see you later like always. then he leans in and kisses me! and it got really heavy with the kissing. then i start to shake him off cause i want to know why he is doing this to me cause this is the fourth time he's kissed me like this and we weren't together. and he say's i don't know. what is this? is it me? i don't know what this is. is he scared to be with me? I went to the movies with my Dad and brothers today for our weekly bonding time. It was a small but full theater where everybody was watching "Despicable Me." I turned my cell phone off and was in the process of putting it away during the trailers. Then I heard an older lady in the row behind me yell something like "TURN THAT OFF! YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE THAT IN THE THEATER! PUT IT AWAY!" I jumped, turned around to glance at her and shoved my already off phone further into my bag. I happened to see some people using cell phones throughout the movie and wondered "Why didn't she yell at them?" Also other people stared at me after she yelled at me. In that little moment, I was embarrassed and hurt. I didn't say anything back to the woman because I've always believed in "respecting your elders" plus her grandchildren were sitting next to her. So I sat there shaking for a bit, trying to understand why she yelled at me and then cried softly throughout the first part. I couldn't really pay attention to the movie and was scared to shift my position either because I was still shaken. Throughout the movie I heard her laughing loudly and exclaiming "Oh my God" and having other commentary. I don't know if she was crazy and that's why she yelled at me? I honestly don't think I was doing anything wrong if my phone was already off. My brothers shoved it off and my dad felt sorry for me. I'm still kind of upset that I couldn't stand up for myself but at the same time I didn't want to argue with an older person. I'm also still embarrassed and cried again a few minutes ago. It's probably something the average person would let go but I feel so upset and sad about it. I've never been embarrassed like that, and don't understand why some random stranger yelled at me especially with her grandchildren. Some people I know suggested that if it happened to them, they would have exclaimed "IT IS OFF AND I AM PUTTING IT AWAY SO PLEASE MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS" or cursed her out or asked, "Is that how you raised your grandchildren?" A few told me that I did the right thing by ignoring her and not causing a fight. I'm a 16 year old girl and yet I still feel like a weak child about the fact that I didn't stand up for myself and I keep letting it get to me even now! I'm basically crying again right now ughh. So did I do the right thing by just keeping quiet? What would you have done? Also, how can I deal with other situations like this in the future? I always try to be nice to people. Why are others so rude sometimes? Some people may not think it's a big deal but it affected me a lot. I have a little bit of OCD so I guess I had compulsive thoughts about it but it was still a horrible experience. That woman has no idea how badly it got to me and how I keep thinking about it. I met this guy about 1.5 months ago. We attend the same college and he has never been in a relationship and he is also a virgin. We went out on a couple dates in about a 2 week span and one day he told me that he would rather us be friends because he felt, at the time, he did not have the same feelings for me as I did for him. So I quickly told him that I could not be friends with him and I wanted no contact with him. This made him extremely depressed and he would cry in front of me telling me he is sad that he wouldn’t see me again. I chatted with him on cam and he would cry also and he told me that he would call me in a month no matter what. Unfortunately, I did like the guy and he showing his emotions and crying got to me. Eventually this lead to friends with benefits situation (only oral). So since the time he said he didn’t have feelings for me like that; we have been hanging out more often and getting to know each more than when we went on “dates.” So it’s been about 3-4 weeks since he told me to just be friends and this past Saturday we made plans to hang out and watch a movie at the theaters. He texted me that day and said that he promised his friend (a girl) that they would hang out and if he could bring her along. I told him that if he promised her then they could just hang out and we could do it some other time, and he replied back with “No I want to hang out with you =)… her not so much.” So I meet up with them at the theaters, we all found the only empty seats in the very front. As the trailers started he grabbed my hand and held it. We held hands throughout the time in the theater. After the movie, his friend didn’t want to leave yet so we decided to go to the beach. I left my car at the mall and he drove and I sat in the back seat. He also texted me “sorry” implying that sorry his friend didn’t want to go yet. During the car ride and him driving he placed his right hand towards my direction in the back seat so that he could hold my hand. When we got to the beach and as we were walking he grabbed my hand so we were holding hands (I kind of felt bad for the friend) and he would grab my arms and put it around his waist. He texted me “Are you okay? You seem kind of distant” I just felt a bit awkward because his friend was there and we were holding hands/cuddling. We left the beach and dropped his friend off and he took me to this sport over looking the city. We cuddled, we had some cookies and we were feeding each other cookies and he also said “I have never felt so comfortable with anyone before.” We were there for about 1.5 hours and we left during the car ride we held hands and he would kiss my hand while he was holding it. When he finally dropped me back to my car we made out some more and hugged for a bit before I left his car. Finally, we started our cars and went our separate ways, but I noticed he stopped his car and re-parked it. I thought I had left something in his car so I parked next to him and rolled down my window and he came out of his car and came over to my car and he kissed me again and smiled before we both drove off. Since then he has been on a trip to visit his relatives out of state for a week. He’s been gone since Monday and hasn’t texted me and I was the one who texted him today just to see how he was. Eventually I texted that I was gonna let him go and he said “ok ill talk to you soon.” I don’t know if the things he showed me last time I saw him comes with being in a friends with benefits situation, as I have never been in one, but it felt nice. Though I cannot enjoy them because I have no idea what’s going on and I am too scared to ask if his feelings are starting to change. I know I can’t continue with him doing sweet things and me not being able to enjoy it. We have made plans to go camping and take a trip when he returns in a couple days. Would it be wise for me to see how things go in the next couple of weeks or should I just end it if its driving me crazy. THANKS EVERYONE I KNOW ITS RATHER LONG! Resolved Question: Is Shutter Island scary?

I saw the trailer for Shutter Island and it looked like a good thriller movie, so I added it to my Netflix queue and it arrived yesterday. Since I added it I have heard people saying it is really scary. I can watch lots of movies and not get scared that scared some people, War of the Worlds, AVP, etc. but I couldn't sleep with the lights off for like 2 weeks after watching Paranormal Activity. Mostly it scared me because it starts out saying that it is real, which it isn't, but it says at the beginning that it is based on a true story (they said they added that for effect) so it freaked me out a lot. I still sometimes get scared thinking about it when I am laying in bed at night and hear strange noises. So, if Shutter Island is going to scare me I think I will just go ahead and ship it back without watching it and save myself some sleepless nights. So, hearing some examples of movies that did and did not scare me, do you think it will scare me? more

Voting Question: Is it just me or does anyone else think that they messed up the Twilight movies ?

I mean I really prefer the books. I know that they can't put all of the information or detail into the movie but, I think that Kristen isn't that good at acting as Bella. Bella isn't that sad throughout the book she has some happy moments but, she looks gloomy and sad ALL the time. Not just in Twilight, New Moon looked kinda cool on the trailer but when I saw the movie I was very dissappointed. Hey!! I have to do this english entry for a book and I wrote this review of Valentine's Day. My friends edited but they didn't like my title. can anyone help me? WHAT SHOULD I CALL THIS PIECE? “Valentine's Day. It comes every year whether you like it or not. It's the day when your love life is put on display. Where there is always a chance for romance... or disaster. It could be confusing, it could be complicated, but at the end of the day, it's all about love. (Valentine’s Day 2010)” With this very line we are finally introduced to Valentine's Day; the 2010 movie that broke hearts, opened hope, and made more than one have a memorable day - one of those people was me was me. For some, this movie was bad news, for others, it was something to talk about for months. What? You don't know where you stand in this debate? Well, that's what I'm here for. The first thing you have to know in order to understand my review, is that I am a Taylor Swift fan. An obsessive, weird, like-anything-as-long-as-she-is-in-it-no… Taylor Swift fan. Well, you might have inferred by now that Taylor was part of the cast of Valentine's Day. She didn't get a big role in it, but it was enough to make me wait eagerly for its release. At the beginning, I was scared the movie wasn’t going to be that good, because I really wasn’t enjoying it yet. It started with a clip from the trailer, so it didn't get lots of attention from me. Then, as soon as Taylor appeared for the first time (I'm a little biased here as you can see), the movie started getting better and better. Something I did not enjoy was the fact that all the characters had the exact same problem; they all were in love with someone who loved someone else, thinking they loved them back. Then, as I realized it all happened so that they could end up together, I loved it. There were good jokes, good actors, and fluffy scenes. It was romantic but not over the top. Sometimes it was a little difficult to keep up with because of the excess stories (and the fact that I had to go to the bathroom twice), but all the stories were fun and they all managed to fit in together really well. Even if for me it was one of the best movies out there, most reviewers didn't have many good things to say. They said it had too many good actors, so that there wasn't enough time to see any of them perform as much as we would like them to. Anyways, I think I know the reason why. It was not meant for them. The movie was made for teenagers falling in love who only care about seeing their favorite actors and actresses kiss. It wasn’t written for grown-up men who spend their lives judging movies and it definitely wasn’t made for people who care if the scenery was good or if the script was professional and well written. It was more than predictable these men wouldn’t like it, so there is no reason for developing your opinion based on theirs. As far as Taylor goes, I do admit she isn't the greatest actress out there, but I think she is really talented. Her scenes weren't that difficult to act because her character was a dumb, uncoordinated, and in-love teenager, which comes naturally for us girls.Some say it looked like she was trying too hard and that it didn't seem natural, but I think it was just part of her role to seem lost. I think she had a special chemistry with her character's boyfriend Willy, played by Taylor Lautner. So basically, from my Taylor fan perspective, the movie was awesome. I recommend it to everyone who is into chick flicks, romance movies, or who wants to spend a good evening laughing at jokes, crying over break-ups, or just hoping that they will someday find love too. Think about it, Hollywood always portrays stereotypes about certain groups. White Americans - we are thought of as the ideal American, the law abiding citizens who live for our families. Dragon Ball film and Avatar Airbender film? The main characters may be Asian in the anime but in Hollywood they are played by White people. We are portrayed as the ideal Americans, the regular Americans. When everyone sees a White guy they think nothing of it. In most movies, it is always a White guy with a pretty girl and a White guy who is portrayed as being the guy who is most desired. Black Americans - often showed as thugs, ghetto and "street" in many movies. The movies that do portray African Americans as decent people are usually historical movies but most movies about current day life in Black America almost always portray African Americans as being loud and unruly (Precious for example). Ever wonder why everyone gets so scared the second they see a Black man? Maybe we need to send Hollywood a message and tell them to start shining light on the good Black people in our community rather than giving all attention to Blacks who are raised in unfortunate conditions, I always wondered, why not shine more light on Whites living in trailers and small hick towns? Hispanics - Often portrayed as being illegals, maids and migrant workers. On the positive side some may be portrayed as the "lover" types but most of the times they are portrayed as either illegals or gang members. Why not shine light on the good Hispanics in our community? The ones who are actually making a difference and being great citizens, I want more "Stand and Deliver" like movies. Asians - portrayed as being nerdy in most American movies, the guy who has a small wanker and speaks in a weird accent. Funny thing, at my college, the guy who was asked out by the most girls was an Asian guy but NEVER IN HOLLYWOOD. In Hollywood the Asian is simply the nerd who gets no girls and speaks in weird accents, notice how most foreign films made by foreign producers show Asians as being something other than nerds? Middle Eastern people and Indians - portrayed as being store owners and often taxi drivers, why not shine light on the numerous Indian doctors who have saved the lives of others? Oh wait, Hollywood only wants to do that to White people. Personally, being White myself. I love women of my own race and I love a lot about my own race but I believe that as America gets more diverse it should be Hollywood's duty to perhaps give minorities more major roles in movies rather than giving them to Whites all the time. You made a White Goku when Goku in reality is supposed to be Asian, well why not make a Hispanic Captain America then? I believe minorities should get more representation in Hollywood. Anyways do you think that Hollywood plays a large part in enforcing stereotypes? more

This is what I have so far- INTRODUCTION: Welcome to the updated movie of the ‘747’. This’ll take you into the life of mine and what I want to disclose and discuss about for real. So, enjoy and bless this movie in the name of the LORD. Let me start off be talking about my time in Virginia Beach and residency. I’d live in the trailer home from 05/08 – 09/08. Due the short time, I was also sharing a room with a former friend of mine which we don’t associate with, due to disputed feud and talking about a matter that occur, that was false of mine. Plus, at the time my life took a scare turn, when I was robbed from two men, who threaten to take my life, due to a conversation that was “eavesdropped” and got hay-wired (and rage of anger). I was held with a 12’ knife to the neck and scare out of my mind. The robbers took $$$ from me and destroy the front gate door of glass. I did go to court for that and the outcome of it all, was Restitution and no jail sentence from the men. Which I think it was not fair and to me, with all due respect… the judicial system in Virginia Beach is pathetic. Next, from 09/08 – 06/09, I move out of the trailer and into a small white house off Providence Road, the Virginia Beach, from Ms. Heather Crossman. It was okay but the honest truth, again… share a room with a college student (younger than me) and it was okay. The problem for me was Heather stepping over the boundary of Privacy. Asking about my finances, family history, friends and religion is a big RED FLAG to me and I don’t like anyone doing that. My life being a former delinquent and what I spend or do with my $$$ isn’t a concern of no one (unless it’s your own parents and financial assistance). Also, didn’t like how she was staying at home so much and having issues of B.O. (body order) and respective term. I’m a full born Christian and no offense, when your friend goes upstairs and takes some that was given to me by the company who handles people with Sleep/Breathing issues, that’s not yours and consider “theft”. Following the summer, 07/09 – current, living in a townhouse and it’s okay and good. I mostly stay in my room a lot and was living next to a public bus system stop and walking distance from Beach House. For me, I realize that making it out on your own, is hard as hell, but trying your best is all you can do. For me, I don’t get a lot of visitors, but its okay. I’m still having my guard up at times and trustworthy issues are a factor of my life. What do I mean about “keeping my guard up” is this. B/c I’m my mother & father’s son, I don’t like being told what to do, being in a rush, snitch on, bothered nor impatient or even late. I had a 03-month suspension off the computers recently, due to disobey the regulation of using it. Which to me, it’s pathetic and BS, b/c when I write my letters to my family or friends, it’s personal and invading my business. Yes, I know the place have that, but paying 15 cent per copy at the library? Are you kidding me? For those of you that doesn’t know, Beach House is part of Magic Hollow MH/SA division, day support treatment for adults with disorders, health issues (physical and mental) and trying to get their lives back on track; having the place keep going and not judge of jeopardize. Opens Monday-Friday (normal business hours) and with Social and Recreational Activities on Saturdays. Also, my P/R staff (Amanda Caton) inform that “there’s going to people getting you involve to work as a group, talking to you or trying to make conversation, plus there are regulations to any place you go”. Okay, I understand that, but I go to get my life straighten out and work on my goals and health. Not to deal with others who’re interrupting, interfere or being a nuisance to me, okay? If you can’t be on the same pace with me, then I’ll push you away and do it myself. My main goal for myself is Strengthen, Coping, Building Trustworthy & Improving relationships for family & friends; plus making good & healthy Life choices. What’s the point when you trying to make things positive and you’re best traits don’t kick in or your friendship(s) don’t matter? It’s supposed to be working as a team, not betraying each other. I remember last year I saw a trailer of a horror film. The trailer showed that a group of girls who tried to scare a guy by pretending that the guy's girlfriend (maybe?) died while they were kissing. So the group of girls suggested that they dump her body at some remote location. Before they tell the guy that the girl did not die, that guy stabbed the girl with a tool that they were using to dig a grave for the girl. So that really killed the girl, then they said something like they were all responsible so might as well just really dump the body and pretend this never happened. Resolved Question: What exactly is the point of Horror movies?

Please hear me out... What Hollywood director thinks: 'Hmm, I'm going to spend millions of dollars on killing people in stomach-wrenchingly gory ways'? To make it worse, what sick people then look at the trailer/DVD box and think: 'Hmm, could be good entertainment'? These points seem to defy all human logic, and don't call me uneducated because I'm not. It's just that these films seem to be nothing more than gore for gore's sake, the acting is often terrible and the plot lines could have been predicted by Nostradamus. Don't give me loads of rubbish about how they're shocking and scary. Something is only scary when you can't tell what's going to happen, since fear stems from psychology and skilled actors, good camera work and a deep, dark soundtrack can make a scarier scene than just someone being sawn apart. Over gory scenes are so overused that they're not really shocking anymore. Don't call me squeamish and scared either because gore is OK when it is part of a bigger plot (ie. desperate crude forms of surgery to save someone), but gore for gore's sake, I just can't see the point. If anyone can come up with a decent reason for gory horror movies existing (and calling reference to how much money these films make doesn't count, neither do any of the points I've mentioned in my above rant) I would be really grateful. more

I'm 12yrs old and love action movies and movies with lots of violence (not in a sadistic way i just love the suspense and action of it all). I was learning about conflict diamonds in S.S. and my teacher mentioned this movie. I watched the trailer and thought it looked awesome, but I am not sure I would like it. I am used to \violence and lots of language(thank a 17yr-old brother for that). But a few things concern me... 1.Is the movie all mindless violence, a good blend of story and violence(preferred), or one action scene? 2.Is it a lovey dovey with lots of romance(boring), or just enough romance to establish the characters? 3.Is it suspenseful, but not to much as to scare you, or so suspenseful u crap ur pants? 4.Does it have a good setting and story to really show u what the movie is? 5.Is it scary? (not horror movie scary, but "I cant this is happening and wat if that was me" scary. The kind of scary were u aren't scared at first but then u are later. 6.Is it to gory? Plot: some college girls try to do a prank on guy (I think he was a cheater/jerk/player), they made him think one of the girls got killed and that he was somehow responsible so they go to bury the girl's body, the guy is all messed up and scared, and before they have time to reveal that all is a prank he goes psycho and stab the "dead" body with a tire iron (not knowing he she was still alive) so the prank ended with the girl getting killed for real and all the other girls went in shock but it was too late to tell the true. So that's how the story start and one year later it's when the real "thriller" start with mysterious calls and so on. I got the feeling of a movie like "I know what you did last summer." That's it. Resolved Question: Why are people/the media overyhyping Avatar so much?

I really hate it when stuff like that happens. When a movie is released and then people get so wound up just based on the trailers and go into the movie with amazingly high expectations and then say stuff like "Oh yeah dude, best movie ever!!!". Of course you'll say nothing but good things about it, you know why? Because you saw the trailer. And BTW, it is nowhere near the best movie ever, just a typical overhyped and overpackaged movie. Don't let the commercials fool you, watch it with an open mind. Black out all the hype you heard about it and watch it with an open mind. The 3-D effects, while pretty impressive, do not make up for the bad, recycled plot and lame story. I liked it better when I saw it in Dances with Wolves. Definitely THE most overrated movie of all time. Notice how when over a movie is as hyped as much as this one was, that the people watching it love it and when a movie is NOT hyped, they don't. Its just kind of ironic, if you ask me. Just watch, in a year this movie will be forgotten, just like the Dark Knight was after a year. Alright, let me just tell you about a dream I had as a kid and how it connects with this horror movie. When I was younger I had a nightmare where I was sitting outside alone and a guy who was picking up trash stopped what he was doing, turned his head towards me- and starting getting closer and closer to my face. I couldn't move and I was scared to death. He continued to pull closer and closer towards my face but this time- showing a grimace of some sort. It was a truly horrific experience. I've held that nightmare with me since because it was so terrifying. On Friday night, I saw Paranormal Activity (a horror movie) and the ending was pretty similar to the dream I had as a kid. The possessed girl looked over the dead body, then turned her head to the camera that was filming and charged at it with a horrible face. Ever since I've seen that movie I've had a horrible time sleeping, because for those who havent seen the trailer or the movie Paranormal Activity- it's about what happens when your asleep. It's a terrifying movie. So I really don't know how to get my mind focused on something else, because I fear that I might have another nightmare similar to the nightmare I had as a kid or the scene in Paranormal activity. I also fear that something might happen to me like in Paranormal Activity. Any advice???!Very funny first two answers- not. I am sopost to have a brother or sister thats 14, but my mother had a miscarrige. Its funny the things you remember, I remember my first barney chair, the first time I cracked a piggy bank. The time I ran across the street to play with the boy in a yard. My grandmas back then, I had 4. 4 sets of grandparents. My mothers parents, my fathers, and my moms two sets of foster parents, Oh and my great grandma Ewald.Grandma Ewald was my favorite, she had a huge yard and a hill we would sled down, she had a basement that she said ghost were in, I never did go down there. She called me Horse face Harry. I found is amusing, as did every one else, I called her Great Ewald. I remember one time, I was in the kitchen at our house, with sizzors and I cut half my hair off, I was 3 or 4, I walked into the living room and showed my mom. " Momma look" Is what I said. Yup, my life was pretty cool, untill the day mom and dad parted. You see, my father was a roofer, my mother stayed at home with me, but my mother had a drinking problem, it wasnt until, I was around 2 or 3, when it came back, she quit when she had me. She smokes Cigarrets. My father would get mad at her for drinking, they would yell. One day my father got sick of it so they parted. My mother lived with me and dad in a trailer even though they were not together any more, my dad worked at night, my mothers drinking caused her to go to jail for drinking and driving, the nights my mother was in jail, my father would take me to my grandma Hitsmans so he could go to work. I never knew when I would go there, I could be sleeping and then wake up at my grandmas finding out my mother was in jail, Again... My mother went to rehab, many mothers later, I was 5 or 6, I found out she was coming home, but she also met a man in rehab, they had a connection and were dating, his name, Jeff. When I met him, he didn't look like the kind of person I would like, or the kind of person who would like me. I figured, maybe he will just leave me alone. Well, soon, he started living with us. It didn't bother me till I over heard that he had been married 4 time before and had 10 other kids with 4 other woman, all of which devorsed him for abuseing the child and the woman her self. Well, my dad moved out, I hadn't seen him in monthes, I called every week. He called every week. I became a very grown up 6 year old, I under stood things that other kids my age didn't even know about yet. My mother started drinking again, because Jeff was. It got bad, I was getting scared, I would hide in my room. They started fighting everyday, it was just yelling at first, then he started yelling at me to, grounding me for no reason. I was 7 now. The hitting and punching began. He began hitting me. Punching me, my mother, throwing me a couple times, I would stay out side all day just to get away from them, no matter how cold. Some days would be better, there would be no fighting, we would watch movies, have good times, but rarely did that happen. Suprisingly with the force he hit me with, the red marks never lasted long enough......... more

My mom is very sexist and talks about females like they are evil and possessed and it really gets to me because not only is she a female she also has 2 daughters. I hope she dies a painful death, I hope that she is stripped down in the middle of a shopping mall and raped by every man there and her husband finds out and beats her!" I looked at her like she was crazy, She made me feel SICK, how could you say something like that? That's how much hate she has for females. The movie 2012 had at least 4 satanic overtones. Before going into those four things, I would like to comment on one of the trailers they showed before movie started. I can't remember the name of that movie trailer, but it was about insane people on an island that were ghosts or demons or something. I definitely could have lived without that 3 minute torture trying to scare me to death! It was horrific! On to the satanic overtones in the movie 2012. Danny Glover, President of America, while sitting at his desk in the oval office gave a sign with his right hand that is also known in the satanic movement as the symbol for the number 666. He did this for the number zero. It is when thumb and first finger is touching and three fingers are held in the air. Also, known as an "ok" symbol. By itself I wouldn't have thought much, but there is more. When Mr. President is saying his last Presidential address to country, he concludes in a prayer. He starts to recite Psalms 23, but power goes out after two lines. TV screen goes off. The lines are, "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want". Kind of like saying I don't want the Lord. Last satanic symbolism I found was when Woody Harrelson, crazy radio man, said that the end of the world would hit on December 21st...winter solstice. December 21st is the longest night in the whole year and is a satanic high day. Satanists around the world are performing occultic activities on that day and even sacrifices. Last but not least, the day of this movie's release is Friday the 13th. The satanic "Harvest Feast" runs from October 15th through November 15th. This is the time of the most celebration and activity for satanists. This whole movie criticizes religion of all types, christianity the most. A huge Jesus statue crumbles to pieces. We don't see the face of Jesus, only his back and side view. What does that say? Christians are following a backward religion. Vatican priests are killed by a massive earthquake and chapel falling on them. Faithful catholics who gather around are also destroyed. The earthquake starts to split the Sistine chapel. Slowly, a crack starts down the wall dividing the painting of Adam and God. The painting that is titled "The Creation of Adam" is split right where God's hand touches Adams hand. Is this symbolism for God leaving man?...Or God destroying what he once created? Either way it portrays God as not being there for his believers who are on their knees in a prayer vigil. The ark theme is similar to Noah's ark, but with a twist. Once again, I question the symbolism. I won't spoil the ending for those who haven't seen the movie. I will say this, Noah's ark was a lot different. Google Genesis 7:15-24. This movie blasphemed God's name at least 5 or 6 times. It is definitely an anti-God film. I'm really scared right now. A few days ago I watched Michael Jackson's This is it in the cinema and before that I saw the trailer for the movie 2012. Then Michael in the movie said : The Earth is sick and we have to cure her. But we only have 4 years time left. ( He said something like that I don't remember everything I was too much shocked ) Then I checked on the web for information and now I'm really scared. I know it's not supposed to be the end of the world but the of the world we know. And I watched a documentary that said this is true and the survivers on Earth will start a new, golden era. But still I'm freaking out. I was scared before I found out that, because of the global warming and how the Amazon forest is dissapering. Voting Question: How to not get scared at jump scenes?

I want to see scary movies, because I like them and I never get scared about them, I just hate the jump scenes. Often times I know there will be one so I can block my ears and just wait but theres always a couple of random ones. I was just invited to see Paranormal Activity, and based on the trailer, it looks like it has a lot of jump scenes (but I don't think the movie overall looks scary) Please don't just list all the scenes to block my ears or say "thats the point of a horror movie" I dont care if thats the point, I dont like it. So, gonna watch a movie... I love scary movies and I love heart-warming movies as well [but more on the scary side]. Help me decide: "Paranormal Activity" : I heard from many it's scary and I heard from others it's LAME. Who should I believe? I have never been scared from all the scary movies I have seen... please tell me if it's good and if it's scary. I mean chills and thrills, screams and ...yeah I got nothing with screams :) I don't wanna waste money on something that I thought was scary but isn't. "Where the Wild Things Are" : I read the book when I was younger and LOVED it. It was amazing... and plus, this movie is produced by Tom Hanks!! You know it'll be good :) The music in the trailer (Wake Up by Arcade Fire) sounds so moving, depressing; makes me think this film has some sort of moral lesson that could benefit us all throughout our life. The quotes are fantastic! 'Inside all of us is hope, inside all of us is fear, inside all of us is adventure, inside all of us is a wild thing'. HOW CUTE ? ;) Looks like I wouldn't be too disappointed from watching it, but doesn't seem thrilling and "on the edge" stuff... you know? Resolved Question: In regards to paranormal activity, does anyone think this is weird?

Weird can someone explain? I don't know what to think right now, but I have not seen the movie paranormal activity yet. I will say I do have the capability of seeing and feeling paranormal spirits however. I am a little scared in a sense right now because...... My husband and I stayed at the Driscoll Hotel in Austin recently for our honeymoon and I knew that it was reported to have paranormal activity lingering in it. As well, it states some cases of it online. I didn't care because I loved the historical aspect and gorgeous honeymoon suite they offered. I had always wanted to stay there. I sometimes have found I can block paranormal experiences somehow and wasn't worried about staying the night there. Usually if I ask God for help it goes away. Sorry to get all religious on everyone, but it helps. While we stayed the night there I really didn't feel any type of paranormal activity in the room we were in. When we went looking around the hotel I kinda got the weird chills and creepy feeling in places, but never saw or heard anything. Now .... After we stayed in the hotel a little over a day later, I noticed a huge bruise about a half a foot long by 4 inches wide on my thigh. My husband noticed it and I saw a doctor the next morning and he had no idea how I got it. We ran 4 blood tests to make sure I was healthy and I was. A bruise like that is not common he said without knowing how it appeared and without having issues with the patients blood normally. My husband was sitting with me that night on the bed and made a comment that it looked like a handprint. So, I was a little worried that maybe some paranormal spirit might have been in our room at the hotel, but didn't think much about it. I got online and watched the trailer for the paranormal activity movie and some things shocked me. Maybe its just coincidence, but I still think it's spooky. #1 the actress at the beginning of the trailer video is doing something that I immediately recognized when I watched it because i totally relate. She is making jewelry. I too make and sale jewelry. WEIRD. How often do you see someone making jewelry in a movie? Especially a scary movie? #2 She has a bruise/bite mark on her leg in the trailer video and I just recently had one on my thigh which made me feel a deja vu vibe. I got chills when I saw this. # 3 My friend suggested I look at the photos from the hotel we took and see if there are any odd things. I looked through them and a lot of our photos from the hotel have weird problems or something. I looked online to research these things in the photos and they are called orbs?? which are supposed to be represntative of a spirit/ghost. There are many of these in the photos we took of the room. And my camera has been acting weird ever since that night????? Makes me wonder what is happening while I am sleeping at night!!!! more
