Open Question: How can you stop someone from walking all over you/ using you, abusing you etc.?

I love to help people and make them happy because it makes me feel really good inside and It feels like a lovely gift to be able to give but I also what to recieve all forms of gifts such as love, pleasure, passion, generosity, kindness, respect, my own space, birthday and valentine gifts, affection, attention, companionship and support or encouragement for most of the time at least in return??? So what should I do? Men who like me or are attracted to me make a move on me and they often have sexual attentions but I want to say no without sounding aggressive, I want to say no while being loving and considerate at the same time??? Two men from my class borrowed a pen from me but never got them back even though I forgot to ask for them the next day but I really did want them back. One of they guys who didn't give it back since before the christmas holidays or less asked me today for a black pen and before I anwered him, he put his hand in my pencil case and took out the black pen, and I hesitated and said yes. Later after he was gone and I put it back on my desk, he went over and took the black pen off my desk and I shouted "Hey you didn't even ask for that, you forgot to say please!, he responded "Can I borrow your pen please Amy, so I said yes. Just there at lunch time when everyone left the class I went to collect my black pen but the top was gone so I just left it there. I lent one of my old friends money more than once, two years ago and I only got 100 for one loan I lent him which was 250 for 4weeks rent so he doesn't get kicked out but of course I insisted that it is a favour so he owes me nothing but he wanted to pay me back. His name was Ruslanis form Lituania and he also used me for sexual pleasure once or twise, and company alot of times when ever he was very lonely and had very few close friends. Any guy I meet or am friends with wants a fling with me because I am fun, very nice, friendly and I have a stunning appearance including my good - looks, I have lovely eyes, nice smile and a curved body. -- As you read this I agree that this is a drama, therefore I dont plan to contact her, so my real question is do you think she will call/text me, when and why? --I met a lady in Aug 08 and we saw each other once a week pretty casual till about March 09. --March 09 she said I am perfect for her, she loves me etc. But then told me about a roommate she has. Since I first met her she had been upfront about having two daughters (5/9). She is divorced, after she got divorced she met a guy, They moved into together after 2 months. She got pregnant and lost the baby at 6 months (this was all before I met her). She said they continued to live together in separate rooms as roommates for finances and her daughters liked him. She says I helped her through the lost baby (even tho I didnt even know about it) because I was nice to her and listened to her. --March 09 she says she is leaving roommate as soon as lease ends. March to Oct she says she loves me, best ever, etc. --Early Oct she tells her daughters they are getting a new place. Oldest daughter gets upset and says she hates her Mom. I get a text saying "I dont want a future with you, let me go, dont call me or visit me". --Well I call and say you cant break up with a text, lets meet in person to say good-bye. We meet she tells me real reason for break-up - that she wants to show her daughter that she will give the roommate one more try. She said she would try for 3 months and if didnt work out would call me. --I leave, dont make any contact. 3 weeks later she texts that she misses me. We speak and she says she is moving out from roommate and wants to be with me. She says she needs me in order to feel happy. -- We see each other for about a 10 days. Then another text "I thought it was right to be with you, but I dont want to be with you, good-bye, dont call me or visit me, I promise to return your key next week". --Of course I call and say whats up - she says that she is getting married to roommate because she got pregnant in the past month when we were broken up. She went on about how this is wrong, she doesnt love him, doesnt want a baby etc. She said her roomate threatened to go to court and take the baby if she left him -- I say good bye and best wishes. 6 weeks later I text and tell her that I hope she is Ok and that I felt badly because I never properly said good bye to her and that I wish her well and that I may get a job cross country. She writes back when are you going, will you come back, I worry about you. I tell her I will leave in Jul. She writes back that she may lose her baby, same problem as last time. I write and tell her I wish her good health. --Few days later on Christmas she texts Merry Christmas hope your wishes come true. --Mid-Jan I write to her and tell her I need my key back as I am moving in Jul and ask her to mail it to me. She writes back that I can pick it up the following week, that I put a magic spell on her as she misses me very much and that it would be a pity if I moved cross country and never came back. --I see her the next week to get key. We spoke for about 1.5 hours. She said it was first time in 3 months she was happy, I asked why she never gave key back - she said "I kept it because I knew you would have to write to me to get it and come see me at some point and by not returning it I knew that you would be thinking of me". She said that she is not getting married, still having problems with pregnancy and that things not good at all with roommate - her brother told her "you dont love this roommate, follow your heart". --She asked if sometime I could bring her the pictures that I had of her. I said no problem. The next week I text and tell her I got her copies of the pictures, she wrote back asking to get them the next day. -- The next day she texts "sorry I cant today" - this was a Tuesday - no word till Fri - I text hey know you are busy just let me know a good time to give you the pictures. -- By the next Thursday no word - so I figure Ok maybe she has second thoughts and realizes its best to stay with roommate. I so I text I havent heard from you so I figure that you dont want the photos and dont want to contact me. I understand and that is OK - I wish you all the best. -- Later at like 9:15 pm I get a text - I dont want the photos, I am in the hospital, and that she lost her baby, dont call me or visit me please. I write that I am sorry for her and is there anything she needs, she says thanks, I need nothing. I write I wish her good health.The next day I write that I hope she slept OK, I will respect her wishes and not contact her, and I wish her well. --I dont plan to contact her as she is clear she does not want me to - why would she text me just after losing her baby then say never contact her??? more

Open Question: Relationship Advice - PLEASE HELP! I will answer your question in return Easy 10 points!?

I have been talking with this amazing girl for a couple weeks now and even went out last weekend. Prior to us going out she would text and call 3-4 times a day just to say hi and see what was up and I in return did the same. We could talk for hours, feels like a good fit. Even on the date she was showing all the right signs, leaning into me, holding me, hugging, even a small kiss. She then planned to go to another bar to finish the night off, was great. Following our date she text me and called but not on the level we did previously. She does return calls and we even talk quit a bit just not the same. 3 days ago we spoke on the phone and said goodnight and she said she would hit me up the next day - never did. On friday I text her after her school class was over (9pm) and to my amazement she called me and talked for about 15 minutes. She was going out with her friend (all good). She called Saturday morning and we talked for another 10 - 15 minutes, told me how her evening was and that she wasn't feeling all that great. Stated she was being dragged out last night for girls night out against her will LOL. (all cool). Today I let it be and finally called her around 2:30 and her girlfriend answered the phone. Told me that she lost her voice last night and wasn't up to taking the call but wanted her to answer. I said "not a problem, let her know I said Hi and hope she feels better. Let her know I will call later in the week" Everyone says to hold off and see if she calls me or text.............I did just that and she always does call or text a day or two later - just very confusing I have asked previously about this and everyone told me to wait and see if she called me, not to blow up her phone as to look clingy. Well I took every ones advice and did just that. She called me yesterday and talked for a few then she had to take another call, stated she would call back. She did and then went off to her night class. I havn't heard from her since and I feel wierd calling her, once again not wanting to come off clingy. Open Question: Wanting opinion before I make drs appt. later today....?

So my husband & I are TTC & these past few days I've had lower back pain, stomach always hurts in lower region, I always feel hungry but Im not. I have been so tired during the day but yet can't sleep at night. I went to bed at 8pm the other night and woke up at 11am the next morning which is not normal for me. Last night I barely slept at all. I have no morning sickness nor do I have sore breast. They have begun to slightly peel alittle bit though. I know none of you are professional help but I just wanted an opinion before I make a doctors appt. Last period was end of Jan. but Im not completely sure it was a period seeing as how it was much lighter & not clotty like every other month, had cramps though. Beginning of Jan. I had a little spotting. So Im not sure what is going on. Also I dont have a feeling that my period is going to start its due in the next few days I believe.I havent taken one yet but there could be many reasons why I feel that way. Im sure those aren't just signs of pregnancy. Im not stressed or anything so Im really not sure. Also wouldnt a blood test be more accurate than an HPT? more

I know I was wrong to do it how I did and for that I am so sorry. I do regret it happening like this but I believe everything happens for a reason so I can’t regret anything good that comes from it. Open Question: parents invite to wedding.?

My h2b fell out with his parents before Xmas. To cut a long story short, they put the feelings of his ex girlfriend before his (their own son). This has been going on for 3 years, since we got together. I haven’t seen them in two years because they have been rude to me from day one and I refuse to be treated like that. Anyway, before he stopped speaking to them, we sent them an invite to our wedding which is now 4 weeks away. They have still not RSVPd, so he called them today to ask if they were coming. His mother told him they’d not had an invite. He said ‘yes you have, I hand delivered it 6 months ago’. She said ‘that was addressed to X & Y, not mum and dad, we are your mum and dad and we want a proper invite’. She went on to rant about how offended she was. He apologised that she was offended, it was not intended. Then she hung up on him. How unbelievably childish! The reason I’ve always given to them for not having anything to do with them, is that I find them offensive and their attitude to that is ‘tough, we’ll do and say what we want in our house’. Then they barred me from their house because I wouldn’t go there (not sure what that achieved?) They don’t want the invite I wrote, they want one from their son. At the time of writing the invite (which I think they are lucky to have been invited in the first place) I didn’t think about writing mum and dad, because they are not my mum and dad, they are X & Y to me. All my family are saying its best they don’t come because they are clearly not going to be polite on the day and will ruin it for us. My H2b does want them to attend (god knows why after all of this). Any advice? Should we go out of our way to have a further invite printed just to shut them up? Open Question: i feel like brutally murdering my ex girlfriends. is this normal?

Today there are so many ways that people across the world can communicate with each other, through the internet, and it can be quite scary, when you think about it. So for example, with Facebook, do you add people that you don't know in real life, or have absolutely no idea about? I have friends on Facebook that I've never actually met in real life, some from this site etc.. but it doesn't actually bother me, like it would of done a few years ago. I suppose becoming more aware of the ways of the internet, you gain confidence in it. It's an amazing tool, incredible when you think about it, but still quite scary, in a way. There are around 290 Bills ( to include bills sponsored by or supported by Republicans) being blocked from a vote up by a Republican sanctioned filibuster. How does our government function when a complete refusal to allow any legislation pass? What do any of you think about a proposal that the house rules be changed to allow a vote to come to the floor? FYI each session of congress votes on rules. The proposal to change those rules is based off of Constitutional law that would more or less hinder or end a parties ability to block legislation though a filibuster. I’m not a huge fan of the filibuster tactic. It more or less is a slap in the face of majority rule. While I’m irritated at it being used today I cant help but think that Democrats look hypocritical when complain about it, knowing they themselves used the same tactic often in the 80’s.Its not my fault- ok you've named 1 out of 290 bills. How many times have you heard atheist say that Christian simply believe, and don't use evidence to support their beliefs. First of all, Christ tells his followers to weigh evidence and hold on to what holds up and to prove all things. Some compare the Bible to a fairy tale. Simple logic would tell you that a book held as authority and true for over 2000 years by some of the greatest writers, artist, composers, leaders, and humanitarians has to at least have some weight to it to hold up for so incredibly long. Another casual observer would note how many successful countries today started off gaining power and wealth after creating governments centered around biblical principles. Another casual observer might note that the recommended biblical diet of fruit, nuts, and grains is being proven time and time again by medical professions to be best for our health. Open Question: Reflections on love, school, work, LIFE?

I don't know where else to go to anonymously write about my feelings and thoughts and get feedback on it. I could write for hours without stopping- all the while working things out in my head, possibly contradicting myself, and wondering how I could have said certain things differently to eventually find the answers I didn't know I was looking for... Right now I am buried in school work, dealing with relationship issues, having a mid-college crisis, and now, today, I have started my monthly period which is draining what little energy I had left. I want so badly to lose 15 pounds, stop procrastinating all my school assignments, organize my room and KEEP it that way, and start enjoying myself. I don't understand why I don't have...motivation. I am apathetic about everything. I'm falling behind in my studies, I'm not losing weight even though I really want to, I feel depressed though I honestly don't think I'd be diagnosed with anything... Its just a combination of poor sleeping habits, no academic motivation, poor diet, etc. I want things to get better but I don't even know where to start. Prayer? Meditation? Counseling? Should I just get my ass in gear and start getting shit done? HOW?! If I saw someone posting all this mess, I would answer: Get off your ass and start accomplishing something! Make mini-goals and see if you can complete one or two things at a time. I almost know HOW to live but I'm not applying it yanno? I'm a list maker. She and my dad called and sang Happy Birthday to me, but then the call ended up with this CRAP flung by my stupid mom! My mom's one of those people who, while appearing "soft and sweet" by the friends and neighbors, on the other hand thinks that no matter what she says to one of her kids (we're all long-time adults now), she's "NEVER WRONG," and "NEVER NEEDS TO APOLOGIZE"! Last fall I went in person to my gym to cancel my membership and was given a simple form to complete. I signed the form and asked for a copy of it, which I have kept. I thought the matter was settled. A few days ago I began receiving calls at all hours (including six on Sunday morning) from a 1-800 number, and when I answered it an incredibly rude person told me he was from a collection agency and had been hired by the gym to collect my debt. I explained the situation about canceling the membership, and the guy treated me like a deadbeat making excuses. I then called the gym and asked to speak to the manager I was familiar with, but she was no longer working there so I was transferred to some other lady who informed me that the gym had changed ownership and a new policy had gone into effect last fall stating that in order to cancel the membership you had to send a certified letter to the company headquarters. I asked if that was the case, why the employee gave me the form to fill out and said nothing about a letter, and she said that person was no longer at the gym and she was not responsible for the misinformation I had been given. The membership wasn't even supposed to be a binding contract because I was only sixteen at the time I signed up. I was told that I could go ahead and fill out the application and start using the gym until a parent came in and signed it. My parents never came to the gym, and I continued to go there multiple times a week without anyone every saying another word to me about it. The payment was processed through a prepaid credit card that I just kept topping up to cover the fees. I stopped topping up the card when I canceled the membership. I canceled it because I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma last summer and can no longer work out at public gyms due to the germs milling about there. I told the manager at the gym about my health, and she basically snorted at me and insinuated that I'm lying. She said I didn't properly cancel my membership and owe $500 ($125 a month) for the fees, and that if I still need to send in the certified letter. I'm going to send in a certified letter, but I'm not going to be bullied into paying $500. The collection agency called me 10 times today. The only headway I made with them is that they said they would no longer call me before 8am. I thought it was illegal for them to go after a minor (I'm 17 now) and to call someone on her cell phone; isn't it? I'm not going to get my parents involved in this mess, but I don't know what to do. Is this going to affect my credit score now? I want to get the gym and the collection agency to back off, and I want to file complaints against both of them. One of my molars has a vertical break, the old filling came out, and it's decayed. They put a temporary filling in today and told me I could get a root canal or have it extracted. Will it be a simple or surgical extraction? And how do they sedate you? I'm terrified of going to the dentist as is. I know they told me I had to have a consultation next week because I'm taking Lithium. And the lady told me it would be between $200-$500 (no insurance). I know you probably can't give me a definite answer, but I'm curious.I've already decided on extraction, and I have an appointment set up. Open Question: People think I am snobby... how do I show them that I am not?

Well I live in a really small town and the teens here are very judgmental... So people think I am snobby (I know this because I have heard) but it is just because I am VERY shy around people I don't know. For exmpl. I don't start convos, so it kind of looks like I won't talk to anyone that I am "too good for" When I do talk to people my eyes get really big because not only am I nervous, but i am trying to make myself louder( I have a really small voice) and it makes me look like I am thinking "Why are you talking to me?" Also when people talk to me, I make short answers and sometimes come off rude/snobby. Again due to being shy.. ( I am 15 and shy because I have really low self esteem like half of the teens of today, lol and it has just always been my nature to be shy.) Those are just a few of the things. So people think I am really snobby because I am so shy. So I really don't want people thinking that I am snobby. So (without having to become outgoing, because that is NOT going to happen) how can I make them know that I really am not snobby, that I am just shy. btw I really am not snobby. I know that I am not "too good for anyone", and I like to help people and I think I am nice person( I hope so ne way lol).. and how can I be snobby if I don't like myself lol. umm yeahh sorry to bug you and thanks SOOO much for any answers :D more

Open Question: DOES ANY NORMAL SIXTH GRADE DO THIS?

five you homework lunch if you forget to turn in your paper (even if you have it) make you wear these thing called lanyerd something like that and it has your picture and all your info and they have 1 hour detention and friday school (you have to stay in school and do work for another hour) have teams now people like to go team against team which is a problem because they fight over it and it was my first day today and first in the morning i had just got there didnt have anything ready my teacher comes in and asks who dont have a pencil and i didnt luckly a nice kid gave me one just in time and the other students got detention and in computer they cover up the key board which suck i mean they want you to type it there way which i type faster with 2 fingers lol i type realy fast and i asked my teacher a question in math i asked how to multiply fractions and she just stared at me blank and said how old are you i said my age and she asked where did you go to before you came here i said online school and she just said you should know this and there is this kid named sergio if he says another word about me i might snap he is a big bully that act nice for the teachers so hes like a teachers pet and gets a free ride out of everythingi live in a town pop 30000 more
