I've decided not to, first because Sony just want money. Then Michael isn't actually there to see what's happening, so Sony will do whatever they want with the songs, maybe even put in some auto tune. And it probably won't be that good. Invincible wasn't that good, and Blood On The Dancefloor wasn't the best he could've made it, and now Michael Jackson isn't even here in the process of making it, so god knows what this album would be like. Open Question: Stemming from 54's question: Why isn't hip hop respected?

No critic would call Illmatic or Paid in Full or anything the greatest album of all time. Not many fans of hip hop would either. Sh*t, even when you ask rappers, they always give you an answer like Thriller or What's Going On.. whenever somebody puts a top 100 albums of all time, you might see only 2 or 3 hip hop albums. Why? I think it's because all the people who put these lists together are older, and grew up during the time when The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, etc. were popular and selling ridiculous amounts. So then, if that's true, will we see more hip hop in GOAT lists in the future when this generation gets older, considering it's popularity in the 90s and 00s? more

Sony bought the rights to seven Michael Jackson albums of unreleased material before December 2017. I will probably buy them all (the first is out this November 2010), but does anybody else think that they shouldn't do this and just let him rest in peace instead? In "This Is It" he's shown with his musical director and he's going over and over the chords to get the right notes for "The Way you Make Me Feel". Michael says, "I want to hear it the way I wrote it and the way the audience hears it and I'm not hearing that". Every note had to be perfect for the upcoming concerts. Why can't his fans respect that instead of running out and buying something Michael wouldn't want released? "I don't think that should ever come out. That's bad," he said. "He was a perfectionist and he wouldn't have wanted it that way. How you gonna release Michael Jackson when Michael Jackson ain't here to bless it?" Will.i.am collaborated with Jackson on the rerelease of "Thriller" in 2008 with remixed versions of some of the album's classic songs. Los Angeles, California (CNN) -- Songs that didn't make the cut on Michael Jackson albums while he was alive and some forgotten recordings left behind on computer hard drives will be on an album released this fall which will include 10 previously unheard songs. Music producer Rodney Jerkins, who co-produced Jackson's 2001 album "Invincible," has been working with Sony to put together the new album. I think the songs that didn't make the cut and weren't recorded was because Michael didn't want them recorded. When he announced the This Is It concerts he said, "I'm going to be singing the songs my fans want to hear". He could easily have recorded all those songs when he was alive but chose not to and he didn't put new songs into the concert. Instead, he was going to highlight other talents he liked and had asked people like Lady Gaga to open for him in London. I know this does happen after people die but Michael was a perfectionist and he'd be flipping in his crypt to know that SONY who sabotaged Invincible, an album Michael did record and release is now going to release music he chose not to record and release. I also think the family should have nothing to do with SONY. I know they need money for his kids but Michael despised SONY. He called Tommy Mottolo the devil and Michael never said a bad word about anybody. Thoughts?The song "This Is It' was released and Paul Anka said he co-wrote it and sued the family for half the profits after Michael died and he won. The song was also recorded in the '80's and not for the This Is It concert.
