For the past few days, I've just been uncontrollably writing song lyrics and funny quotes on my desks when I'm at school. Today I wrote on it in my first class and then my teacher, saw and pointed at my desk. Resolved Question: Can someone tell me the name of this song?

I saw the video at school but they didn't display the artist or title. And unfortunately I don't remember much of the lyrics, just this line that was something like, "I'll always be here for you." It sounded kind of like Owl City but I don't think it was them, and the video featured this little boy who was building something in his garage, and at the end he uncovered this soapbox-car, and his friends pushed him down the hill and that was the end of the video. I know many movies of his have him singing the theme song. And I've searched for years ( lightly ) to find it but I don't remember what movie it came from. I was 8 when I heard the song after watching the movie with my brother (roughly 18 years ago) and the film was older at that time. Open Question: Why are my ex's friends surprised/curious about my love life?

My ex broke up w. me about 4months ago. He worked sooo hard to pursue me; genuinely cared was even more serious about it than me. I was happy being alone but ultimately decided he was worth being with and he had potential and within a span of 2-3 months, he just "didn't feel like having a girlfriend anymore". It was a good relationship; we had the quality of a serious relationship in that short time- met his family, brought me to a wedding, was close w. his good friends, dealt w. money issues, just very comfortable w. each other...when we first met (not dating, talking, etc...), he had told all his friends he had "met someone special". Right now he wants to be "selfish", no 3rd party, and "it wasn't the right time, not ready". We didn't have a bad breakup but I cut off everything and just ran away...haven't spoken to him since. He sent me a few txts reitirating our convo fr. the next before (apologizing) but i never responded back. I've never commented on the breakup on fb or have said anything bad about him...nor have i commented on anything about love or relationsihps or revenge...nothing like that. His friends have been more than nice to me after the breakup. We were never super close but I always got along w. them when I would see them at parties or at their place. His girl friends (who are like his sisters) are very protective of him yet seem to be more protective of me than him. They still love him but always tell me how much they hate what he did to me and would want to see me now then to "catch up" (keep in mind, it's always them initiating; not me). My ex's sisters (only met them once but got along great) would always be on my fb account and would "like" my pictures and status. To be honest, the breakup affected my "self esteem" more than my heart. I I worked hard at the new job, met people, kept busy and worked 5-6 days/week, got into scrapbooking more, spent more time w. friends, went out at night more, worked out (LOST 13lbs! :), and even went to dinner w. a gentleman i met at a wedding. I just got back from vacation w. family and hawaii and i feel like i'm a completely different person - better and stronger. I also found out I got into nursing school. Great blessings for me. Before I left, I posted a pic of me and a cute dancer who worked at the luau I was with and jokingly put, "yup, i got to bring him home. muahaha" My status read lyrics fr. a song that said "you're amazing, just the way you are" (which is dedicated to me. I found love for myself in hawaii and finally stoped blaming myself for the breakup). Well, my ex's uncle (who happens to be my best friend's boyfriend) made a comment on the pic and said, "so you found a new guy on your vacation...?" I've know him longer than my ex and he was never once interested in anything about my personal life. And apparently all my ex's friends were "talking about the picture" and assumed that I'm now dating that dancer from the luau?! CRAZY...first, it's not true. I really didn't think much of it and 2nd, why would they care so much? (and not be rude but the guy in the pic is kind of a big upgrade fr. my ex...just fr. the looks/stature of it...I've also changed. I lost weight, fit, tan, did my hair differently, in cute summer outfits...) and 3rd, how could you assume I have a new bf if i'm just taking a pic w. a cute luau dancer? We didn't date that long...i'm just a girl...i'm his ex, yet they're still so nice to me and apparently "everyone's talking about the picture"...which is really nothing - that's why i'm confused to why it's a "big deal"/surprise to his friends...most of them are taken and "coupled" up, yet still curious (not in a nosy way) more

well im 16, gay and not out. i go to this christian camp. and there is a counselor who is 18. he does not counsel in the same program as me. he is a counselor for younger kids. we didnt talk at all, then one weekend i added him on facebook. then when i went back to camp the neaxt week, he started talking to me. well i thought he was preettyy cute, again no one knows im gay. so we started talking. he opened up to me and i opened up to him. he said i inspired him (something like that). he told me he knew this song, that reminded him of the lyrics of me. he told me he would write them down. i was like okay. so a few days later, he never wrote them down. one night i asked him, "hey, are you gonna write down those lyrics for me?". he looked at me for a few long seconds like thinking 'what is this kid talking about'. then he was like "oh yeah!! ill write them down now, and give it to you tomorrow". the next morning, he gave me the lyrics. i waslike "thanks, ill read them soon". then he asked me like 3 times that day, "did you read the lyrics" i was like "no not yet". then later that day i was like "i read them thanks". and he was like "your welcome." sometimes he likes to joke around and invade my personal space. lol we talk very little. i went to camp for 6 weeks. i dont see him anymore, but im going to visit his college with some counselors from camp, and he will be there. Now, from my memory of what he looked like in his music video, you have to remember that visual memory is horribly inaccurate, so don't hold me to this physical description. Plus, whatever someone looks like in their music video probably isn't what they look like anyway. It was a man singing it and he was 47-59 years old. He had gray-white beard and was rough looking, aged skin. I don't remember if he was wearing a cowboy hat or not. His singing style in this particular song is almost just a talking voice telling a story, but he is still singing. Resolved Question: Why are my ex's friends curious about my love life?

My ex broke up w. me about 4months ago. He worked sooo hard to pursue me; genuinely cared was even more serious about it than me. I was happy being alone but ultimately decided he was worth being with and he had potential and within a span of 2-3 months, he just "didn't feel like having a girlfriend anymore". It was a good relationship; we had the quality of a serious relationship in that short time- met his family, brought me to a wedding, was close w. his good friends, dealt w. money issues, just very comfortable w. each other...when we first met (not dating, talking, etc...), he had told all his friends he had "met someone special". Right now he wants to be "selfish", no 3rd party, and "it wasn't the right time, not ready". We didn't have a bad breakup but I cut off everything and just ran away...haven't spoken to him since. He sent me a few txts reitirating our convo fr. the next before (apologizing) but i never responded back. Mutual friends say he was just too "immature" for me (also insecure/scared). He (and his close friends & family) would say i was "everything he wanted in a girl" yet when we broke up he said he wasn't ready for the kind of relationship i was giving him. I never talked/seen him since. I've never commented on the breakup on fb or have said anything bad about him...nor have i commented on anything about love or relationsihps or revenge...nothing like that. His friends have been more than nice to me after the breakup. We were never super close but I always got along w. them when I would see them at parties or at their place. His girl friends (who are like his sisters) are very protective of him yet seem to be more protective of me than him. They still love him but always tell me how much they hate what he did to me and would want to see me now then to "catch up" (keep in mind, it's always them initiating; not me). To be honest, the breakup affected my "self esteem" more than my heart. Resolved Question: He's in town and wants to hang out.. is he obsessed with me, or am I overreacting?

So, I met Josh at a party, and we spoke for abit. I found a friend request from him on fb the next day, and accepted it. We've been staying in touch over msn/through txt msgs over the summer and became pretty good friends that way, I was actually to have a guy friend I could just talk to. But he ended up telling me he liked me, and I didn't feel the same way and told him I could only ever offer him my friendship. I decided since then we shouldn't talk as often, and told him this so he wouldn't be alarmed when he didn't hear from me so much. The very next day, he texts me asking "what did I do?" and I explained that friends don't need to talk 500 times a day and he needs to chill out.. he'd still continue txting me/leaving me msgs regardless, even though I never responded. I'd get so many txts, sometimes all the msg would say is "hi." He'd also post a bunch of songs up on fb, and all the lyrics were bout a girl breaking a guy's heart.. and even his status right now reads, "Long winded promises of future company, up close the sound remains the same." I know these are all directed towards me, and it REALLY creeps me out. He's in town right now and texted me today asking to hang out, but I said i'd be busy and don't have the time. That was my nice way of saying i'd feel uncomfortable seeing him. He texted again asking if I could atleast make one day free for him this week.. ugh I hope you guys don't think i'm a b1tch for saying this, but it's like he's obsessed with me and I don't know what to tell him to make him leave me alone. Or am I just overreacting here? Advice pleeease! ps. Voting Question: How do I date a woman in a relationship (either now or later)?

I want to "go on a few dates" with a woman I met tonight. She is in a relationship. I don't know how serious/how long. I want to let her know I would like to go on a date with her while still respecting that she is in a relationship. I don't know how to do this. I don't want to wait very long to date her. I have felt that I want to be single my whole life (because I do not want to spend the time in a relationship). I am very picky with compatibility... I can tell a person through their eyes and behavior. Tonight I met a woman (my age is 25, she's probably 22 or so). There was little verbal communication. I was able to watch her nonverbal communication while she played on stage in a band (one of my friends invited me to come watch - a friend I met once before, and kept in touch with). I was watching everyones' nonverbal communication, and kind of getting a sense of what they are like. The band is sort of an emo band, but this woman played her parts seriously. The lead singers' lyrics are very strange, but pretty funny at times. Her boyfriend plays the bass guitar. From what I picked up her boyfriend is pretty happy go lucky. I don't think he has much drive though. The one communication we had was when I left (well, our eyes did meet a few times while she was on stage, but I didn't stare because I knew she was in a relationship). The real communication happened when I said goodbye to everyone. As I was leaving I told her (very honestly) that I loved the french horn (one of the instruments she played, which sounded beautiful). When I said this, her eyes lit up and she said, "Really?" It shocked me because it is the kind of look that is sincere. I replied automatically "yes." I started to walk away, came back and said that my cousin teaches french horn, and that I really did enjoy her playing. We made that same eye contact. This eye contact is something I have never seen... It was amazing. I may be dreaming, or whatever... but life is short. So my question being, I would like to contact her and ask her to go on a date with me. I need to let her know that I realize she's in a relationship, but I want to go on a few dates with her. I am not ready to be in a relationship, but this kind of eye contact just blew me away. It was sweet, sincere, honest... very hard to find. Your thoughts?I just do what my instincts tell me to do. So I'm going to tell her that I loved the eye contact, am not ready, but would love to date her at some point. more
