Autumn I guess, it’s time for my story… well, Hey, my name’s Autumn, Autumn Jassy. I know kind of dumb. But hey, I guess I’m stuck with it, until, you know I’m like 19 or whatever age you’re considered an adult. I’m in Oahu, Hawaii, I’m naturally from Canada… But I guess my dad’s job just travels us places. So, really I’m not known around here, some call me “Emo” and some call me “Scene” But really, Names? What assholes… I guess they get the vibe off of my appearance… Which, I’m guessing you’d like to know… Well. Here’s what you want. I’m 5’5, light blonde hair that ends around my chest and ice blue eyes; I’m always wearing heavy dark eyeliner, my body’s... Normal? I don’t know what to consider normal anymore, everyone here is pretty tan, except me, my skin hates me… Interpreting, I don’t tan… I don’t like to think much of my body. But all my “Friend’s” Consider me a five hundred, but, the scale’s actually 1-10. So… What the Eff? I’m always wearing some form of skinny jeans and some thin tank top, with some arm band on my wrists. My right wrist will constantly have 2 Ribbons on them. Black and red. My nails? Death black. And when they’re not, their usually some form of blood red nail tips on top of some French manicure. Usually on those days I’m like, Superrr Bored, I head down to the beach the water is clear green blue, usually some sort of fish floating around following you while you swim. But I just spend my time in the sun in some bikini while reading my favourite books… Well, that is until my friend’s get a hold of me. Then they just kidnap me into going to the Mall which is like 30 minutes away. We all have some nemesis at school. Mine just so happens to be Clara Samuels. One of the most gorgeous and most popularist girls in Oahu. With sundown brown hair, luscious red lips and soft green eyes, every guy falls for her. I think it’s just her looks. Really who would fall for a totally whore like her? And by whore, I mean every Friday and Saturday is booked for her. But not with friend’s, just some guys. You’d think her boy friend would know, Blake Aarons. Who’s totally gorgeous… His face is to die for, and his abs, were like killers… His hair was platinum blonde and always shaggy, you know, like a skater’s hair? His eyes were chocolate brown; seriously, just one glimpse of him can turn any girl into a tripping Tanzie. While mentioning Tanzie. She’s my BEST friend. But… she’s way too peppy. She wears miniskirts and long button up sweaters with those librarian glasses, and always ties her hair up in some form of way. “Hey creepy, looking for more of those cheap gross bands of yours?” Said Clara smartly like she was the queen of the world, and I’m like “Seriously, what the hell have I ever done to you? Other then the fact Destrey left you for me? Seriously come on Clara that was like two years ago, so take that stick out of your ass and keep walking.” I replied. She smirked like that didn’t hurt her at all, But we all knew it did, Even her skanky clones knew it. Who by the way are named Robyn, Who has short black hair and a crooked smile, I honestly don’t know much about her other then she’s some freaky smart ass who acts stupid. Then there’s Olivia, that short tanned preppy girl, with reddish brown hair and small eyes, but I do admit, her body is pretty… nice, then there’s Kayla. One of the second biggest whore’s you’ll ever meet, who we swear is always competing with Clara to see who can get busy with guys the most, But… I do admit once more, Kayla is really gorgeous, almost as gorgeous as Clara, Her hairs strawberry blonde and layered near the top, and her teeth are amazingly straight and white, her eyes can almost match as an Emerald diamond, Seriously, Olivia cackled at me as the 3 of them walked away, leaving me with Tanzie, who isn’t that smart with comebacks… especially on the timings to say them. “At least I can tie my own shoes!!” She hollered out to them, I have to say that was embarrassing, and I truly don’t know what made her bring up tying shoes… But, that’s Tanzie for you! So anyway, as we were like, walking to my favourite store Hot Planet, I bumped into my boyfriend, (Yes I have a boyfriend, Ha-ha.) Destrey, who I brought up back there with Clara! “Hey cutie, what are you two girl’s doing out?” He implied while kissing my cheek softly, “Oh, just browsing as usual, I thought a girl day would be good for our little Autumn!” Said Tanzie cautiously. I was averting my eyes elsewhere trying not to show what just happened with Clara, Who Destrey totally despises, and wishes me and her would never bump in again. But as usual, he saw through my eyes and held my hand tightly asking me what went on, so I guess I blurted out the answer? “Me and Clara bumped into each other back there and I mentioned how you left her for me! Resolved Question: Do you really fit in where you "fit in"?

What I mean is, do you actually feel happy/satisfied with the people in your "group/clique" or do you ever feel out of place? [THIS IS EXTRA AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ IT SO IF YOU WANT JUST SKIP IT AND ONLY LOOK ABOVE] I used to go to a little private school and I had friends, but there was always a part of me that I felt didn't belong. i.e. We'd go to the mall, and while everyone else was like "omgizzles Hot Topic is sooo creepy and goth!" I actually liked to go in, not because I'm emo/goth, but I actually like some of their shirts and accessories. Everyone else liked Top 40 music, Miley Cyrus, and occasionally thought they were badasss by buying a Boys Like Girls song, but I routinely listen to more alternative bands. Anyway, I'm in high school now, and I still don't feel like I'm finding "my group". I mean, I'm friends with a number of people who seem a lot like me, but most of them aren't in my classes/lunch and are good friends with others who aren't with me at all. Then the few people that I've gotten to know the most (and one of my "best" friends from my old school) are more preppy, which I don't mind because I'm basically "normal", but I feel like they're seeing my good friend as this great person, while I'm starting to see how fake and two-faced she is. So between everyone seeming to like my friend a lot more than me, and feeling a bit out of place because it's like I'm back with the same people I've always been with, not the people I truly fit with... I met a girl named Kathryn, kittie for short at a local punk rock show. We didnt talk very long. but we were the only girls who went into the mosh pit, so naturally, we knew each other a little. The next week, we met again at my JKD center. She was my training partner that day. Before class while stretching, we were talking about bands, shows, and stuff like that. She loves punk rock, and I mean the real stuff, like the sex pistols, rancid, dead kennedy's etc... In my neighborhood, there are posers, but no real punks. When I met kit, we were talking about bands for 15 min b4 class started. The next day, my best friend comes up to me, and says " You know Kit???" and I say, yeah, not well, my best friend starts rambling on about how shes a drug dealer, alcoholic, drug-user, and several extremely mean things. my best friend's other friends are emo posers, and hate kit to the death. They hate her music, the bands she likes, her grades (shes a nerd) and style (blonde hair on top of jet black.) I dont know whether to believe her. My best friends other friends hate me, and many people. There's two sides to this, and I don't know what to say. more

Resolved Question: Should I change my style or not?

I've pretty much always dressed like I do. I have long dark purple hair, pale skin, quite a few piercings (only facial one is my septum), I usually wear dark eye make up but I don't overdo it. I dress in skinny jeans/jeggings/leggings with long band tops, studded belts etc. If you saw me you'd probably think 'emo, rock chic' etc. I quite like how I dress but then I see girls who wear pretty clothes and have nice natural looking hair colours and I feel really inferior and they look really pretty. Just for Fun: ...Before you knew it, you realized the 00's are gone forever and someday you'll look back at saying Oh-Seven, Oh-Eight and Oh-Nine and You'll remember playing Guitar hero on your Wii, watching spongebob, taking a Myspace picture, making fun of Snuggies, rocking skinny jeans, doing the walk it out, wearing shutter shades and jamming to your ipod and say damn... I miss those days! Someday, you'll be able to laugh at yourself for conforming with the emo trend, and wearing guyliner, and popping out the lenses of your 3D glasses, having a Myspace crush, and having a poke war on facebook. But for now, we are still young and at least we'll know we lived the 00's to the fullest! =D [P.S.- This was a homework assignment to make a list of the trends of the 00's. Resolved Question: Style Stereotypes: I wanna be labeled! Help?

Ok, so there's like, emo/scene, preppy, punk, etc., but I don't know how I would be labeled. I have no idea why this thought just popped into my head however it did. And it's gunna bother me if I don't get an answer. How would I be labeled? What group would I belong to? Music: I mostly listen to The Beatles, The Grateful Dead, [as I am from Vermont] Metallica, and AC/DC. I absolutely HATE rap, most pop, and hip hop music. Clothes: I wear regular blue denim skinny jeans, and usually a leather belt. I have some band shirts, but usually a cami under a v-neck solid color shirt. I have four pairs of converse, but I usually wear my black high-tops. I have two vintage keys on a chain that I wear as a necklace. And a bike chain bracelet, and this studded leather bracelet as well. Sports: Sports are for active people. I don't play sports. :] Activities: I play LOADS of XBOX with my guy friends. It's fun. Hahahaha. And I play stickball [which is like wiffleball]. I can play guitar, drums, piano, and I sorta sing a bit. I always play rockband, too. So...just tell me what you think...please? Resolved Question: What are some different ways I can wear band tees?

I have so many Tokio Hotel band tees (they're the only ones I wear). I'm not 'scene' or 'emo' at all, plus I don't like labels. I'm just not sure how I should wear them. I know you're "supposed" to wear them with skinny jeans and converse or whatever, but I want to wear them a different way. My style is random, sometimes it's edgy, sometimes it's more boho, sometimes it's just idk whatever; there's not really a name for it I guess. I love wearing leggings with a long top. cardigans. beanies (the knitted kind). booties (without heels), i do wear converse and flats,too. a lot of jewelry, long necklace, beaded bracelets. i love things with zippers; shirts, leggings, leather jackets,etc. I'm not a poser, I don't believe in labels so I don't care what people think of what I wear, okay. Im 12 and i feel like im growing up to quickly. First of all i want to be the scene sort of style (btw dont say that scene/emo is stupid and not to bother being it or that im just gonna be a poser) I mean i dress in skinny jeans and graphic shirts/band shirts and i have my hair my natural colour with red and black foils/streals in them (and my fringe in brown at top and black at bottom). I like pretty much anything.. as long as its good. Well, to me. Haha. Pretty diverse. But i listen to indie/post punk revival bands like The strokes, arctic monkeys, interpol, and phoenix. they are my absolute favorites actually. those bands. Most of the music i listen to comes from the UK, too. They've had far better music compared to the US this decade. Not just indie rock, other things too. Like the music on the radio is just.. horrible. I dont get why it has to be that way.. why cant the top 40 actually represent 40 great songs? ugh. Hah so I went off topic there.. into another matter. So, I was wondering what people think about it nowadays.. the whole black people liking indie rock thing (not metal, emo, screamo and other stupid shit like that) since I only see black people on TV and movies being categorized in 3 stereotypes. classy and listens to r&b, gospel, and classical; ghetto and listens to rap and hiphop; and rarely an african. and unless the show is mostly with black people.. which probably means its gonna be on BET (which sucks btw.. especially since they categorize all black people to like the type of music and shows they play), there will be like only 1 token black character in a show. I dont even have to give examples. Im sure you could think of many. The black person usually plays the 'ghetto' character in those type of things. I constantly see people saying that Emo's are losers who can't defend themselves. This really annoys me. My 'friend' who is 5 years younger than me (10 years old) and is more like a sister is starting to really annoy me. I get that she sets me as a role model and I'm flattered.. but its starting to get really over the top. To start with she stole my love for anime and manga - getting her mum to buy all the graphic novels I've wanted for ages and can't afford. She stole my ideas for writing (which is COPYRIGHT infringement because i've copyrighted most of them) and most of them are about vampires and werewolves and stuff a 10 year old shouldn't be into (she's even started trying to write SEX scenes!) And now shes stealing my favorite names for her stories - her characters are called Lena and Pandora and Tambre - all of which are the names I want for my children.. She thinks she's bisexual because I am... but she's not. And now she thinks shes psychic and can talk to ghosts because I am. lately i've been feeling loads of different things. weakness, tiredness, laziness, emptiness, sadness and just generally depressed. i started the third year of high school 3 weeks ago(year 9, don't know what they call it in america :l ) and i hate everything about it. i hate my teachers, the people in my classes, etc. even though i'm good at basically everything (i am expected to get a*'s in my science GCSE's, i'm in the top ICT class and second top maths class, and i'm gifted and talented in english which is my best subject.) i feel as though i am not achieving anything and i am nearly falling asleep in lessons because i get no sleep. i can't seem to get to sleep easily, i have to lie in bed for ages, tossing and turning, throwing my cover off me then pulling it back on, thinking about everything it just can't make me sleep. my parents split up earlier this year and i still haven't got over it. my dads got a flat ages away, and when i went there once i fell asleep in the car. then when we parked up at his i woke up but kept my eyes closed. my dad got out of the car thinking i was still asleep and started talking to his neighbor when i found out he has a girlfriend. my mum knew this but only told me after this had happened. i haven't met her and i don't want to, my dad also got angry at my brother and hit him, so now my brother is completely ignoring him which doesn't help anything. generally crap like that happens everyday at home. also, my friends are really starting to bug me loads. i started listening to different music because the music that's popular nowadays is really annoying and edited. i listen to bands like panic at the disco, fall out boy, paramore, hey monday. the cab, the maine, enter shikari, passion pit, all time low etc. they keep taking the piss saying that i'm going "all emo" because they think its the type of music that screams down your ears and stuff. i also start buying kerrang magazine, and i had it in my school bag and when i opened my bag one day, one of them went ooh can i read your magazine, and then they were laughing at it because they had never heard of the bands and they were questioning why on earth i had bought it. i blankly told them because i wanted to, but they can't stop taking the mick. in the car on the way to school my friend was changing the radio over and "rock fm" came on and they both started laughing. one of my friends (lets call her A) is generally a bitch sometimes and the other one (lets call her B) just follows her, whatever she does. for example i made cakes today in cooking and i put lots of cinnamon in it because i like cinnamon, and i gave A a piece and she started making throwing up noises. B then decided to have some in the next lesson and copied A completely, pretending to throw up and saying that it was horrible. this really pissed me off and they always do it. A has been doing dancing all her life. B decides to start dancing lessons with A to "lose weight" i'm not stupid. and their faces when i announced i was getting bass guitar lessons was FXCKING PISSING ME OFF. sorry. and i've been friends with them for 10 years and i can't just dump them. our mums are really good friends and stuff like that. but urgh. i turned 14 last week and it all just feels crap. i feel ill, i have stomach aches and headaches, i'm getting loads of spots, i get paranoid about everything too. whenever i see ambulances or police cars or fire engines i panic. i haven't been doing homework, i've been refusing p.e lessons, being close to tears in nearly every lesson. my self esteem is dropping rapidly, and i'm pretending this isn't happening so nobody asks me whats up. i have never been one to let my emotions out a lot but i have never felt this bad and i am just bottling it all up and don't know what to do. sorry if this all sounds messed up i'm just so upset and angry with myself. thanks. more

Ok, well my dad has been a little on the @sshole side. Idk why. Well, my brother's in a band, and last night he asked me to sing somethin with him, well his band, not him( :P) and of course, being the nicest sister in the freaking world(lol no not really) i agreed. It was for this thing at a bar/resturant my mom works at. Like a talent show, but not. Anyway, after we preformed, me singing, we walked offstage and my dad was like glaring at me and Craig(brother). So we asked what was wrong and first he flipped out at Craig, why i didnt know. Then he flipped out at me and, once again, called me a slut. Said i was acting and dressing like one, again. I was like "wtf how?" and he just walked away. I asked like 5 different people and they all said i looked and acted fine. Heres what I was wearing: Black fishnet half sleeved undershirt, a black tanktop over top with a "Sex Pistols"(favee band eva) logo, and the undershirt was already short, so it came past my navel, and i had that pulled up and tied up, about...3-3 1/2 inches of stomach showing. I had on red skinny jeans, studded belt, and my black Chuck Taylors(Favee shoes <3<<<3) As of make-up i had on black eyeliner, black eyeshadow, not too dark, it looked more gray, and red lipstick. As for hair, as said before it's blonde with dark blue highlights, and i had it pulled up into a high side pony-tail and it was strightened, and i have like emo-looking side bangs, my hair looks like how the "emo girls" wear their hair, and they were kinda just there, lol. I don't think that's slutty at all. Noone else did. And as for "acting slutty" i was singing and dancing, like anyone sining for a band would. So...why did he say it?? What did i do to make him say it??? ps im 14..idk if that helps :/But like, also, noone was being like "Omg she's hot" or any of that crap. So I don't understand how i did look like a slut or was dressed inappropriatly. And plus, my brother is more protective of me then my father is, so I think he'd have a huge problem with his little sister dressing like a whore if i really was. more

Resolved Question: Punk, Emo, Poser....... what do you think?

so, I'm really into black, abbey dawn clothes, spikes, paramore, and things like that. a lot of people ask me what i consider myself (you know, punk, rocker, goth...) but i'm a bit confused. can you tell me your deffinition of the following... punk, emo, rocker, skater, freak. i straighten my hair everyday and have kinda a hailey williams haircut only sholder length. i am a natural brunete but i bleached the top layer of my hair. my fave color is black, and my fave bands/artists are paramore and Pink!. i'm genuenly an outsider and i cant stand my sisters goody-two-shoes, pink is life, attitude. tell me which "genre" fits me best.stop telling me to stop "limiting my personality with lables" because i'm not the one doing it. i just want everyone to stop asking me and unless i give them a lable they wont quit it. and yeah sure i'm talking about "sterotypes" but again thats their fault. NOT MINE!! so dont tell me to be myself or stop with lables. tell that to the populars and the wannabees and the rest of the stupid people in this world. more
