Open Question: Skinny jeans for boys question/Skinny skateboarder look?

OK,so I'm a 13 year old guy and I really like skinny jeans,they really put the one most obvious part of my general look in a good light and that's the fact that I am really skinny.I just want to get filled in with what's on with the skinny jeans.First things first.Many people (exclusively men I think) say skinny jeans look/are gay.That I do not think it's true.Maybe,colored skinny jeans (anything not ranging from black to dark to classic blue to light [light but no white]) can look a little bit gay...So what do you think is gay or not and will I or will I not be trolled IRL by others (especially if not exclusively) guys saying I'm gay? im going to a alternative/emo/scene club for under 18's on saturday for the first time, i have NO clue how to do my hair and what to wear.. hair; i have shoulder length hair and a side fringe that isnt really that long but it basically covers most of the side of my forehead, and it usually doesnt sit. :/ clothes; i have alot of clothes. only one band top, msi <3 i have alot of striped, plain and dotted tops, vest tops, skinnys also ;D i was thinking of wearing a white vest top with a leather jacket that goes up slightly, my dc shoes (white) and my denim skinnys, with my makeup smokey eyes, foundation and that but im not too sure, please answer, xx more

So, I was going through my wardrobe today and i realized something - it's a schizophrenic mess lol which got me thinking...I don't really know what my style is anymore :O Help? Here's what I have/like: - Band tees - both classic and modern rock - graphic tees - a couple flowy blouses/babydoll tops - argyle - jeans (mostly skinny jeans) - i have no skirts - cable knit sweaters - hoodies - cardigans - hippy jewelry (wooden bracelets, peace signs, etc) - punk/goth jewlery (skulls, daggers, etc) - i like pearls - converse - flats - beanies/berets i think the problem is, i like everything. my wardrobe roughtly half-bohemian half-emo rock or whatever. is there a way I could combine both styles? my question is why do you think metalica is at the top? they arent that great. i like them but only from ride the lightning to black album and i dont count kill em all because i see that as a side project with dave mustaine. pretty much everyting after that sucked. load and reload is not metal and they sound kinda country. and after that everything is just boring... the way i see metallica is a good starter band but its not really metal after and justice for all.. i think they are on top because they sold out with these non metal albums and they got a difference audience. now you got all these different people that arent metal listening to metallica.. such as emo.. so the way i see it they only have 3 metal albums..new album is just a mess..recordings are bad and the songs sound like they recycled alot of their old stuff. more

I'm a teen and I like the band Evanescence and many of their songs. I like to write stories I make up in my mind. To be honest, my stories are a bit sad. An example: One is self concious about how they look One doesn't trust anyone and prefers to hide his feelings and he also is sick of his life One is sick of his siblings for they cause problems. And in the story one sibling brutally beats up the other but realizes what he's done. It's more of teaching morals i guess (not the violent part) I don't like supernatural. It's scary I'm shy and not really sociable I have true friends I like to help I make me and other people laugh And I'm classified as weird. I'm really caring but I have a crappy temper but I'm patient enough to hide it. I care less about what people think about me I am advanced in certain subjects I care about finance I wear whatever I want but it's not sandals or tank tops (well for summer) and in any colori love free verse poetryi love black eyeliner and doing that freaky eye thingIt's call the state of Boredom. I often wonder if people think I'm an emo/scene/skater poser. I honestly don't try to be something I'm not. Lets see... Hair: I have dark brown hair, with red in it.(The red is dyed.) Side bangs, layered but not to the extreme. And i straighten it.(My hair isn't scene at all.) I like to wear little bows in it sometimes. Makeup: I wear black revlon eyeliner kinda dark. with black eyeshadow. Sometimes dark red eyeshadow. Black mascara. sometimes coverup that matches my skin color. Shirts: Band tee's I have Hollywood Undead, Green Day, Nevershoutnever, Alesana, Hyper Crush, Brokencyde, and Lady Gaga. Some random t-shirts. And I usually wear tank tops from Khols. The tanks are, purple, green, white, grey and black. Hoodies: I almost ALWAYS wear a hoodie. I have a dark grey zip up hoodie from Vans. Which is my favorite. A purple and black pull over hoodie from Zumiez. A BIG black pullover from Chicago that says Chicago. A plain purple one from Zumiez, A nevershoutnever hoodie from a Nevershoutnever concert. Pants: I wear skinny jeans that are blue, dark blue, black, acid wash, pink, dark grey. Resolved Question: Is my child an "Emo" kid?

So I have noticed a little change with my daughters wardrobe in the past 2 1/2 weeks. She has been wearing sweatshirts when it is 90 or hotter degrees outside, she wears those tight skinny jeans and some all star high top shoes. Also, I've noticed my razor blades have been disappearing from the tool box I also heard some of the lifeguards at the pool saying they saw cut marks on a girls arm. She is wanting to dye her hair black and pierce her lip, she is listening to different music now some band called Hawthorne something and a lot of interesting bands. I've been looking up articles about this "Emo" lifestyle. I noticed that my daughter seems depressed she has for awhile now, but I just assumed it was because I started dating and spending less time with her but, that doesn't seem to be the problem every time I try to watch a movie with her or have a girls night out she goes upstairs in her room and sits on the computer and listens to music. What is going on with my daughter?I really don't know what could make her sad or mad, I try to talk to her but she avoids me at all costs. When she does talk we usually fight and the fights always end in an "I HATE YOU, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND" then she goes up to her room and hides.None of her friends are "Emo" or into the music she is into. I really don't think she is trying to find herself and I don't think that when you self harm yourself it is a stage, there has to be something behind it. more

I'm going to a Paramore concert tomorrow, and if anyone knows Paramore they'll know that its a punky pop, emo kinda rock band. Clothing I wear: Black tank tops/spaghetti strap shirts. Band shirts (the ones that are actually made for girls) my band shirts consist of Lamb of God, Children of Bodom, Soilwork, Katatonia, Slayer, Agalloch, Norther, Burn The Priest, and Pantera. My jeans are normal, I usually buy them at Debs. SOMETIMES, I wear a studded belt. Other times I wear my Lamb of God belt. My hair: It's naturally very light blonde, but last year I dyed it black which was stupid, I know, but it's faded to a prettier dark brown. Resolved Question: Scene hair, clothes, make up, piercings............?

I have long hair which is down to the bra strap across my back and is dyed light blonde at the moment (but changes regularly and never looks natural). I have layers and a pretty big sweeping fringe across my forehead. I usually straighten my hair and backcomb it at the roots for some volume. I have a fair few piercings: septum, hips, nape, belly button, 5 on my ears and both nipples. I am pale and usually wear neutral make up, except for dark eyeliner and sometimes eyeshadow. I also dress in what could be called 'emo' or 'scene' clothing' (ie. long band tshirts and leggings, studded belts, skinnies etc) but I don't wear millions of bracelets, hello kitty, neon skinnies etc and often just wear normal tops, skirts and hoodies. I do not want to be classified as a 'scene kid' because I feel like I'm too old for that now (I'm nearly 18) but I'm worried that on first impressions that I may look like an emo or scene kid. Resolved Question: Todays music sucks, 80s music rules, who agrees?

All I heard about it how Nirvana came along and changed music forever. How they came on the scene and destroyed hair bands and metal. How Kurt Cobain was a legend and awesome. Well here is a news flash kids, Nirvana wasn't the first grunge band, they were just the first one to take off and hit it big, therefore meaning they didn't really change anything, they just did something other bands were starting to do. People go on and on about the Seattle Grunge scene, well guess what, Nirvana was formed in 1987, in Aberdeen, Washington. 3 years earlier, Soundgarden was formed, in SEATTLE WASHINGTON. So yeah, already, Nirvana was 3 years late to the party. Anyways, the real point of this is going back to what I first mentioned, how people constantly state how Nirvana killed hair bands and all that hooplah. Well to that I gotta say pick up your local paper and check out concerts headed your way. Or just look around online. You will see more hair bands and metal bands touring major venues while there are now grunge bands, anywhere, to be found. Grunge died. Hair bands live on. As does Metal. Grunge is the same thing as the bullshit we are dealing with today. Emo. And all these other shitty rock bands. Music today is boring. No passion, no fun, nothing. Remember back when band members would get arrested and how awesome and fun it would be when they would talk about it and not just care? That was rock n roll. Today someone is arrested and they're all sorry about it and sad and depressed. Remember when bands would glue hotel furniture to ceilings and ride motorcycles down hallways? Yeah, no one does that today. Todays bands are boring. And useless. On top of that, their music sucks. I mean Axl Rose cancelled shows, stormed off stages, no showed concerts, all kinds of shit, but hey, that was rock n roll. Today no one does that. There is nothing exciting in music today. Just boredom and shitty bands that no one will remember in 5 years. Then we got people like Kid Rock, and Lars Ulrich bitching and moaning about people stealing music. If we went back to the 60s, and Jimi Hendrix, and Jim Morrison found out that people were stealing their music, they wouldn't give a shit. You know why? They are what is missing from music today. Artists who care about nothing but their music, and people hearing their music. That's it. Today it is all about fame and fortune. Musical talent comes last. Back then musicians only cared about their music being heard, and did it because they loved it. Today it's a group of guys put together because they seem like they would be good together and are products of record labels. In the end, Nirvana didn't kill off bands, or kill off types of music, instead they killed the fun. Thanks for nothing Nirvana. Voting Question: What color highlights should I get?

I'm thinking about getting highlights. I have dark brown, almost black hair that goes down to about an inch below my shoulders. My eyes are hazel, and change from green to brown, and sometimes both, or even one with a little orange mixed in. My skin is olive colored. My friends call me emo (jokingly) cause my favorite color is black, and i have scars on my arms. None of them are self inflicted; i just play rough. The color black is just really appealing to me, and i personally think i look best in it. On top of getting highlights, I want to dress mainly in black, instead of a couple black shirts anda more colorful combo. Would people call me a poser if I started wearing black most of the time, but not all? And Hot Topic. I got a Naruto T-shirt from there, cause I really like the show. That doesn't make me a poser, right? If I buy clothes because I like them, I'm not a poser, right? The bands I like are Three Days Grace, Linkin Park, Green Day, some Nickleback, if it helps. Basicly the last couple of months ive given up. I hate my life (many reasons not much point stating them here) and to be honest i dont care what happens in my future. I do have friends a few in fact an listen to rock an heavy metal. I also play drums (yes i am a girl) and im a band other than that i just refuse to do work in most lessons an get sent on call the rest at home most nights i just cry because i know im ugly no denying and no my boyfriend will dump me soon enough.
