When I was a junior in high school, I felt very alone and scared a lot of the time. I had a friend who pressured me into becoming a "manager" for my school's swim team (that my friend was on), which meant attending practices with my friend (I would sit and watch her) and attending swim meets that would last all day on the weekends when I would have rather been doing other things. To make matters worse, my friend would often tell me "Coach wants you to come to swim practice on Saturday morning at 7:00 or he's gonna be mad....I thought you'd rather I told you than him telling you (I believed her on this one, bcuz the swim coach was a holy terror), so I often felt I had no choice in these matters. Besides, the other girls on the swim were thrilled that I came to watch them practice, and I wanted to show my support, but I often just felt as though I were being used. Not only that, but things were tense at home. My stepmom was working several jobs at once, and had a bunch of folks who took no initiative for coworkers (they also behaved very childishly at times) and my stepmom would be feeling very stressed by the time she got home. My father tried to pressure her into quitting one or two of her extra jobs, but she wanted to wait for just the right time (she was born in the 1930s, so her Great Depression mentality might have contributed to that, either that or she's a workaholic or unable to refuse requests from people). At any rate, my father and I suffered too, bcuz she often had mood swings and directed anger towards us. She also drank a glass of wine or two at dinner (to "relax" as she said) and since she was so thin and hardly ate a thing, this would cause her to become slightly intoxicated and all the more unpredictable. She would call me things like, "self-indulgent" or "immature" which only contributed to my negative self-image and made me feel worse. My father had the same amount of putdowns and rude remarks leveled at him, but unlike me, he never paid them any attention. The only good thing I can remember about that year was that we had a Chinese student staying at our house, and she would dote on me and refer to me as, "the little sister she always wanted." She thought I was the greatest thing since sliced bread. She and I would go shopping together and she would make very exotic and flavorful meals for us at dinner. This is going to sound horrible, but it was almost like having a "real" mother, for me. However, she was often busy (as she was working on a dissertation) and she eventually became interested in fashion shows and parties, which she would go to with other Chinese students in her same program. Not long after my Chinese friend arrived, I created an imaginary friend named Maryanna. Here's a little background information about her: -She's a crow. her name, in fact, comes from the crow species, "Mariana." She's an anthropomorphic crow who wears a red polka-dot dress, and wears a flowery hat. She also has naturally curly brown hair. -She's 43 years old and works as a child psychologist in her hometown. -She is a composite of a woman who used to run the church nursery my parents took me to (Margaret), and of a waitress at Steak and Shake whom i liked a lot (Diana). Margaret had to leave her job at the nursery due to a heart condition, and her departure was upsetting to me as a young child. Diana, at Steak and Shake, would always smile at me and call me "Pretty Girl." I was glad she thought of me as pretty, bcuz my stepmom was always talking about my problems with my weight and acne. So, Maryanna is/was a composite of these two women. -Maryanna is very sweet, motherly, and friendly. She feels nice and cuddly to the touch and would sometimes sleep with me on nights when I was feeling particularly depressed or inconsolable, which was often. She loved for me to tickle her on her feet, beak, and tummy. -like me, Maryanna loves sweets. She also suffers from hay fever, so when I told her that eating honey can sometimes help people with allergies, she took to eating it regularly! I bet she eats more honey than Pooh, LOL! Well, that's all I can think to tell about Maryanna. She went away for a while during my senior year of high school, but now that I'm starting college, she's returned. Don't get me wrong, I'm overjoyed that she's back, and that i have a friend again, but why would she come back now? Is it bcuz I'm going through a transition, and she thought I might need some companionship? Could someone please help me? I'm glad she's back.....during my junior year, she sort of became a surrogate mother for me...she was all the things that mothers are supposed to be, sweet, lovable, snuggly, soothing, things i didn't have then.There was NO SEX involved in my relationship with Maryanna. I'm not that disturbed. more

Voting Question: How much would it cost to insurance a 97 honda prelude for a 18 year old boy?

Okay i know everyone is going to say there's no way to tell me there's no way to tell how much insurance costs, but I'm hoping someone can give me a rough estimate based on this information So I'm 17 right now and in a little less than a year I'll be looking to buy a car. By then I'll have 7-8k that I'm looking to buy a car with. Currently I am insured on my moms 05 Toyota Sienna and it costs about $1000 a year to have me as a driver on her car, cheaper than it would have been on my dads civic($1200 on a 04), and that's after discounts for good grades and my parents not having an accident or ticket since before I was born. I won't be using the car that much, seeing as I am still in highschool and walk to my school, so not many miles would be put on each year. If anyone has a prelude around that year, or anyone just has some knowledge on the subject, I'd really appreciate it if you answered leaving an estimate of what you think it might cost a year. If it's really just ridiculous do you think that going down to the previous model, the one with 135 hp, would save a decent amount of money on insurance? I'm really wanting a nice car but I don't want to be one of those kids who go crazy with their honda civics to the point where you can barely tell what type of car it is. more

One of the key players in Sharif El-Gamal's Mosque near Ground Zero is Egyptian born businessman, Hisham Elzanaty. Fox 5 News has learned exclusively and confirmed with Mr. Elzanaty’s attorney that Elzanaty made a “significant investment” in the development of the mosque near Ground Zero. Fox 5 has also uncovered Elzanaty has teamed up with El-Gamal on at least two real estate deals: the controversial mosque site and another deal involving a commercial property in the Chelsea section of Manhattan. In the Chelsea deal, mortgage documents show Elzanaty played a major role signing off as the guarantor on El-Gamal's $39 million mortgage. When Fox 5 News reporter Charles Leaf tracked down Elzanaty outside his Long Island home in Roslyn Heights last week Elzanaty avoided the camera and did not answer a single question about his business dealings with El-Gamal. Fox 5 News has also learned that in 1999 Hisham Elzanaty sent money to an organization that would later be deemed by the U.S. government to be a terrorist group. The organization was the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, also known as HLF. The now defunct group’s 1999 tax records show Elzanaty contributed more than $6,000 to HLF. Two years later, in 2001, HLF was shut down by the federal government and designated as a global terrorist. After a mistrial in 2007, in 2008 five HLF leaders were convicted of providing material support to Hamas. The Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) is a non-profit research group that focuses on radical Islamic terrorist groups. The research group shared its information on HLF with Fox 5 News and IPT’s Managing Director, Ray Locker tells us HLF, “masked what their true purpose was, they funneled money to Hamas which used that money to conduct terrorist operations. Mr. Elzanaty's contribution to HLF came in the same year his Egyptian parents, Abdou Elzanaty and Abed Raboh Fawkia Elzanaty, were killed in a plane crash. On October 31, 1999, Egyptair flight 990 left New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport bound for Cairo, but crashed in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Nantucket Island killing 217 people. U.S. investigators concluded the flight’s pilot deliberately crashed the plane in a suicide, while Egyptian investigators disagreed, concluding the flight had mechanical problems. Hi Guys, I wanted to know if anyone can help me as i was given wrong information by the British High Commission Pakistan, as my son was born in Pakistan and is now two years of age .. i wanted to get a british Passport for him but i was told that i better of applying for his pakistani passport with him mums application for spouse visa so thats what i did and they both obtained the visa but this is not what i wanted... I wanted my son to have a British passport and travel on that to UK as i am a British Citizen...Now i am concerned as how can i Apply for his British passport he visited UK once on the visa issued which makes things even more difficult....Now i know that i have to get him register at the British High Commission But before i do that i want to know my son will be able to get the British passport....any quick responses will be much appreciated and situation in Pakistan is not great i have my concerns.Thank you more

Her face was round and beautiful, slightly covered with wavy, blonde hair. Her eyes were big and resembled jewels and reflected the little sunlight there was. Her nose, above her soft, strawberry lips, was small and pointed. “I often explore these woods. In truth, I enjoy the smell of the air.” I watched her carefully put her hand parallel to a tree and study her fingers in relation to it. She then let her fingers fall to her palm, and lowered her arm. “It was very nice to meet you.” she said. “My name is Lucy.” I cleared my throat because I felt that I should also deliver a speech as wonderful and graceful as hers. “My name is Elliot,” I said. Then I quickly added, “Rayne. My name is Elliot Rayne. It was also a pleasure to meet you.” “My last name is Rathborne. It’s my mother’s maiden name. My father decided to keep it so people wouldn’t be able to find him like they used to. I guess it’s worked because I haven’t been seeing his name in the newspapers as often. Well, I’ll be off now. There’s a part of these woods in particular that I’ve yet to see. It’s right beyond these trees.” She smiled. She took a few steps towards the trees which hid that part of the woods, and began to slide slowly through two trees. “Wait!” I called. I immediately regretted doing so. I hoped she hadn’t heard me. I didn’t want for her to have to come back through the trees and not see what she wanted to see. I waited with anticipation, watching the ground and tree branches for a wave of white fabric resembling a loose shirt that she wore. After a short while I turned and walked away. “Wait!” a small voice called to me from my left. I immediately stopped and turned my head toward the sound. “I didn’t mean to yell,” Lucy laughed as she came out from behind a tree. “Why did you tell me to wait?” “I just wanted to ask you something, that’s all.” I looked down and patted my jeans with my hands. “But I didn’t want to stop you from seeing whatever was back there.” “Oh it wasn’t much.” she reassured me. “Just some rocks. They bother me quite a lot.” I smiled understandingly and looked around awkwardly. I looked up at Lucy’s face. Her eyes were wide and she grinned at me, as if she was expecting something. “Can I ask you the question?” I said slowly and quietly. “Oh yes, go ahead.” I took a deep breath. “Who was your dad hiding from?” Lucy smirked. “He was hiding from the only people worth hiding from. The people in charge, of course. The cops. You see, I was born in Idaho. I always did like the environment. I spent most of my time outside. My parents were quite the opposite I might add. They talked very rarely to me, and very little to each other. They always sat at desks cluttered with pens and paper stained with coffee rings. My mother and father would stay up very late, usually. I always asked what they were doing at their desks, and the most my father ever told me was that they were researching information and conspiracies of the government. They both seemed very interested in those type of things. They were very obsessive. It took them seven years to come up with the idea of moving here, to Washington, D.C. They said it would help them with their work. I found it all rather foolish. The only thing moving here accomplished was them getting arrested for attempting to steal books from the Library of Congress. They really weren’t very smart. But they thought they were. It’s all kind of silly.” I was fascinated and eased my way over to a fallen tree. I sat with my back against it, and Lucy did the same...This is just a small section of the story that comes in chapter 3. They will have already talked before this was written. more

Resolved Question: I just got my I-130 approved but it says that I am not eligible to adjust status at this time, Im here legally?

I am 19 years old, living in the US entered the US in 08 on B2 and changed it to student visa and my I-20 is valid for 3 more years, my dad got his green card July 09 through my sister who is a US born citizen and applied I-130 for me and it just got approved. Now my priority date is Aug 21 09. So does this mean that I am not eligible at this time just because my visa category isn't current, and I'll be eligible as time passes, BTW i am from Syria and my case is at the California Center. The Visa Bulletin for next month (Sep) shows that the cut off date is Jan 1 10 so does this mean I'll be eligible some time soon like this next month??! Will they contact me, or should i just go a head and file the I-485?? The above petition has been approved . Resolved Question: Car insurance company discriminate against me because I was not born in the UK?

I had a quote for car insurance through a well-known national company. They were aware I had a UK licence for 5 years and had no convictions, claims etc. I rang and spoke to a representative and she confirmed the quote. The following day I decided to accept and called them. We went through my information and the agent said, "so you were born in the UK?" I said no, I am a UK citizen but I was born abroad. The quote then went up by £200 !!!! I took issue and spoke to a manger who said this was legitimate when I told him I was certain it was illegal since the only information that had changed was my place of birth, he eventually said he would honour the original quote. I then bought the policy with a one-off payment. Insurance is a racket and I don't think they should be alllowed to get by with this. Does anyone know anything about this and what can be done next to make sure it doesn't happen to other people?To those of you who think this is ok. Imagine you are in the armed forces and have a child abroad while serving Queen and Country - should your child should be forever penalised because you were abroad? It is no ok to be racist either. In case you don't know it is illegal to discriminate on the basis of race.Oh and by the way, Welshlad, it would be discrimination on the basis of NATIONAL ORIGIN, something you may have an opinion on if it happened to you. more

But since we brought in the new ones she will just stay in one spot of the room and hiss and growl at them everytime they come near. To make a long story short, for the past 4 months I have been abusing prescription meds. I know there isn't really a "safe" way to do it, but I researched as much as I could on what I was taking. I knew the correct dosages and general safety information. My sleep schedule has been all kinds of crazy since summer started and I knew that if I wanted to do well in school this year, I would have to be on a routine schedule. I kind of have a problem with insomnia and having anxiety about things too much. So I figured I would try an anti anxiety medication called Xanax to make me sleep early on sunday night so I could wake up early on Monday for classes. (I know this sounds like I am lying, but it is the honest to god truth) Sunday night I got 2 bars of Xanax from a friend(2mg each=4mg total). I had taken xanax one time before this and took 2mg which had a small relaxation effect, but not enough to make me sleep. So I took both bars (4mg) and waited for it to kick in(Usually takes 30-45minutes). I took them at 7:45pm and was really hungry from not eating since earlier that day. I decided to go get a burger. I could definitely start to feel them kicking in on my ride up there, but I was still in total control. I ate my food and decided to go home so I could sleep. Pretty much xanax makes you drowsy with slightly slurred speach, very relaxed (like 3 beers would for me), and anxiety free. On the way home, I glanced down at my iPod that was in my passenger seat and I hit the median curb and popped my tire/bent my rim. I knew I was in trouble but I decided to pull into a grocery store nearby and call my dad. He came to help me but he knew immediately I was on something. He thought I was drunk (I just turned 21 last week) because I was slurring my words together and he was VERY upset. I promised him I wasn't drinking and that I had took 3 benedryl tablets to help me sleep which is why I was so drowsy. He didn't believe me at all and drove me home. He is a very VERY strict father and he never drank or went out with his friends once since me and my sister were born. He didn't want to be a bad influence on us. The thing is I feel TERRIBLE about lying to my parents bc they have done everything for me, especially my dad. He works long hours at a job he hates just to keep our family together. My mom was diagnosed with cancer last year and he has had a very hard time dealing with all the stress that accompanies that. I called him earlier and talked to him for the 1st time since sunday night. I asked if he was angry with me and he told me "Im not angry but I am disappointed in you". Im not an idiot, i know that heavy drinking causes FAS, but should moderate drinking really be forbidden? There was a time when water was not even safe to drink. So before sanitized water, in every western country the people could only drink wine and beer and that includes pregnant women and children. It says that the average American settler drank up to two gallons of beer per day.Same goes for countries like England (the UK or whatever) because I read a lot of British history, and back then anytime people from other countries were going to live in the UK, they would be forewarned to get accustomed to drinking wine/beer because the water was not safe to drink there either. Like Catherine of Spain when she married king Henry the 8th and many many other people. Im sure it wasn't safe in most of the world as well. So if drinking caused FAS then why is it that ALL those children back then were not born with FAS or mental retardation? My mom is a nurse and said that FAS was not even discovered until the 1980's, so before that nobody even suspected that they could not drink alcohol while pregnant. And there were not significantly high numbers of children born with FAS etc. She also say's that alcohol is processed through the liver FIRST, and anything that is left over goes to the placenta, so what is left over from a few beers could not possibly hurt a fetus. She says that FAS children are born to alcoholics who drink hard liquor on a regular basis. I know that you can find info on the internet that says otherwise, but those are 2nd hand stats from goggled websites. This concerns me because I have a friend who found out she was 3 months pregnant and she has been drinking beer on a regular basis. She didn't know she was pregnant because she got her full blown period every month on time (which is another thing that doctors etc say is not suppose to happen), and now she is getting an abortion because she is convinced that her child will come out harmed due to her drinking. Well i think its dangerous to tell women things like that because I don't believe its true due to the facts that i mentioned above. And now an innocent child is going to die because of wrong information when there is probably nothing even wrong with the baby. I have come here to be a full-time university student and I am bored like hell, sometimes I am so lonely I wanna scream out from the bottom of my lungs. Believe me I have classmates, schoolmates, flatmates and all but they are not "friends", they are merely people you say hi and bye to and even when I try, I find them having something like "great wall of china" around them. At first I noticed they were very polite and all but after a while I find myself feeling like a lone wolf and I realize that I have known nothing much about them, which caused me to feel really unconnected to humans (yes, even when I see them every day!). I am a girl from South East Asia and you know how crowded that area is. Not just the crowd, but the people too. They were warm, communicative and loving. A Finn is like a robot. I started to feel really alienated and I wonder why. I believe I am a good and polite person too. I have a sense of humor and am an approachable person. Really I used to be popular in high school and had many friends. It's worth mentioning that I do talk to my Finnish classmates when I see them in school and we can have long conversations, but there's nothing personal in it (I mean they're not very willing to share information), and after 6 months though we have talked a lot I find that I don't know anything much about them, like where they were born, what their parents do and what they feel when this and that and this and that happens... Among them are Casper and Dustin, two twin brothers who are shape shifters. Alex does not know of this, and so nobody can come to rescue her. Isabella recognizes Lucas from a few days earlier and relies on him for companionship and trust. Hello, We adopted a stray cat 7 months ago. He's currently one year old. He's living at my grandmother's home for now, and I'm over there every day to care for the cat. (My grandmother is all alone, and was lonely, so we let the cat live with her to keep her company.) But I am not there in the early mornings or evenings, and here is where we have our dilemma. He's a tuxedo cat that was born on the street. He was found by a friend, and given to us. 5 months old at the time. When we took him home, for the first 2 months, he was completely content about staying indoors. And we wanted him to be an indoor cat only. But after that, my grandmother accidentally let him outside. And since then, it's been a constant battle to keep him indoors. He will pounce and bite ankles, scratch up the house, and cause a load of trouble if he isn't let outside. And it was very odd, since he's an extremely sweet, friendly, and loving cat. But if he doesn't get his time outside, he becomes aggressive. My grandmother has been giving in to his whim almost every morning when I'm not there, and letting him outside. Usually he'll only be out there for a maximum of 2 hours, but this recent month, he's been gone for up to 6 hours at a time. I try everything I can when I'm over there to keep him from going outside, but I need a solution to keep him indoors when I'm not there. The reason my grandmother gives in to his whim is his aggression, and I can't seem to figure out a way to keep him content in the house and decreasing his urge to be outside. He has a collar, a tag, and will be micro-chipped in a few days, just in case. I've been told that because he was born on the street, that means that he should be free to go outside as he pleases. But I really want him to be indoors, I become extremely worried something might happen every time he goes outside. And it's not safe. Hello, I'm 15 years old and am extremely unattractive. I was born with a cleft pallet, for those of you who don't know what it is, google it. Although through reconstructive surgery, I no longer have a hole in my mouth, but I'm left with scars and I still have a lot of surgeries a head. I keep thinking about this, do I have a family in my future? I've never had a girlfriend, or been on a date before, and I feel horrible. I'm fairly tall, thin to average weight for my age, with weak arm muscles, but my legs and core are well built from running. I always feel self conscious of my appearance so I get very shy around women I don't know too well. As I watch T.V. shows and movies, girls always seem to be talking about a sensitive guy they can never find or something. Then I think, my personality is perfect, but then I realize what I really look like. My self-esteem is at an all time low, I feel lonely on the inside, and I just want to be normal..... Yes, 12 YEARS OLD. I think its very ridiculous. I have 3 brothers and I'm the sister. My brother was born deaf, but he got surgery when he was 4. Now, he can hear, but still CAN'T say the basic words or even the alphabet because he doesn't know how to move his tongue. I can barely teach him because I have a busy schedule (soccer practice ends at 7, then almost 2 hours of homework, considering I have all honor classes), and my dad has SO MUCH time on his hands, he doesn't even do anything about it. All my dad does is buy video games for him because he feels "sorry" for him. I think all the video games is doing to him is making his speech worse because he's always making gun noises ( he plays a lot of shooting games), and I can't do anything because if I take away his game, he'll cry, and then my dad would yell at me, take away my door, and make me do yard work, during the afternoon, which KILLS ME. My mom is always at work Mon- Fri,2pm-12am, so she is almost never home during weekdays. Sometimes I think my dad never plays his role in the family, because, when he comes home from work, he always says he's tired, then slouches on the couch and watches TV for the rest of the day ( he's a delivery guy from a business company). And waits till midnight for my mom to come home to cook for him because he is "tired."--That's very selfish. My mom is tired because she just got off of work at midnight, and then she has to wake up at 5am to get my brother ready for school, while my dad is relaxin watching tv. My dad is like another "baby" in the family; or just an invisible person compared to the rest of the family. He always think he never has time for my brother, and I try so hard to teach him, but every time I do, he ends up crying, and Im the one who always gets punished. This is about children who have been given up into foster care/adoptive care. This is hard for me to tell in conversation, so i will tell it this way: Avril was given up by her parents a few years back. Ever since she always wanted to know what it was like to be with people who love, and 2 couples she could call her parents. One day at a park, she saw 2 couples with their new baby speaking to a their family friend. (a few feet away) She reheard them saying how happy they were when they had their daughter, Anatasia-Kristine, and that she was a blessing and the best thing that ever happend to them. Anastasia had changed their lives! Avril saw how happy these new parents were; she wasn't jealous, but wanted the same and wondered if she was the best thing that happend too. A flashback occured; she was told at the age of 5 that her parents never wanted her bcause they never really cared about anything...They were drug/alcohol addicts. They never gave their information, no note, nothing! She thought if she were adopted, will the parents love her as much as their birth child? If it's not the family she original born in to, then who else in the world really loves her? Okay, just in case u all are confused, (sorry for the long paragraph(s)) this is supposed to be asking Do parents who can have their own children think about the young ones who don't have any parents. I know that not everybody can adopt every child in the world because it's not their child (bio), or why adopt when you can have ur own, or adoption is not for everyone. I know that. My daughter has ALWAYS had been one to sweat a lot, even as a newborn. It would be the middle of winter and she would be sweating. She's now five years old, and I never really saw a huge concern in it until the other night. The room was actually a bit cold (nowhere to the point that ANYONE would sweat). She had one very light thin blanket on, and she was SOAKED. And I mean, SOAKED. It looked like someone had literally thrown a bucket of water on her. When I took off her clothing, they were dripping with sweat. I'm very concerned this could be something more dangerous and I definitely felt it was a cause for concern. I'm making her a doctors appointment, but wanted to get someone else's input who may be a nurse or even a doctor on here? Not sure if this is useful information but she was born with Atrial (spelling?) Septal Defect aka ASD in her heart. As of recently I was told it was closing and may not need surgery. I'm confused with the regulations that the DMV has for minors. Here's some information: I'm 17 and a half years old, born on March 12, 1993, California resident. I know how to drive, I drive 3-4 times a week with my parents. The things that are confusing me mainly involve this permit thing. It says on the DMV website that because I am between 17 1/2 years old and 18 years old, I do not need to have the drivers education certificate or drivers training certificate in order to get my permit, so therefore, is the only thing that I need to do is pass the visual exam and the writing/traffic exam to get my permit? Does this writing/traffic exam test involve driving, or is it just questions that you have to study for? Therefore, when I take the driver's test when I turn 18, would I be eligible to take the test? I would have held my permit for 6 months, and I'm obviously above 16 years old. However, it says that I would have had to have completed driver's education and complete 6 hours of professional driver training. (What exactly is professional driver training?) But because the site states that I don't need to take driver's ed and driver's training in order to get my permit, do I still need to take it in order to be eligible to take my driver's test? Sorry, this is a lot. With the birth of Jesus Christ, it reveals that he lived for a life of span of an estimated 30 years. In the bible, the time frame between his Birth to his Crucifixion gives a bit of a gap. Just to summarize some life events, he is a carpenter, he's baptized by John the Baptist, he heals the sick, the blind, and is later betrayed by Judas. Crucified. Within in his life span, we only know so much of what the Bible reveals to us. Julius Caesar, via timeline, was born before Jesus Christ. Yet, we have so much information about Julius Casar and the empire he built up for Rome. We know enough information about his life that we can connect him through history, with his title CAESAR being repeated many times. Not just in Rome itself, but in other parts of ruled Empire. Then we all know his assassination. My question is; being that Julius Caesar was born before Jesus Christ, how is that we have just Biblical text referring Jesus Christ? Wasn't there anyone else recording Jesus Christ in their own text as well? Information is constantly being copied, preserved, kept safe, but with world events and time, documents are lost and even texts are destroyed on purpose. Do you think the life between Jesus's birth and a leap forward to when he was 30, is part of the missing text or passages? Could be I'd say. Voting Question: Did my MTF Dr. Violiate HIPPA? If so what can I do?

This is a very long story I will shorten it. I apologize in advance. My husband is serving in the US military stationed at Ft. Hood; tx. Because Of my severe Congenital Glaucoma; The army gave me a specialist in Brooke Army Medical Center. Which is about 2 hours drive from where we are stationed. We dont Mind making the drive because its for my vision. I am legally blind in my right eye (20/400) and no sight in my left. I was born with this; and have had over 59 surgeries in my 23 years. I am not complaining; My husband is giving his life just so I can have the treatment needed to keep my vision that much longer. My PCM at BAMC center suggested a compassionate PCS (Perment Change Of Station) To Ft. Sam Houston because I will need in his words "close follow up for the rest of my life; and more surgeries to keep me comfortable. After doing months of paperwork and memorandum after memorandums; Our packet finally made it to the desk of the Brigade commander. Everyone up til this point agreed that the PCS was in my husbands; and mine best interest. The Brigade Commander refused to sign our PCS on the grounds that they spoke the The hospital here on Ft. Hood; the clinic that first referred me to BAMC in the first place. They said the Dr. here felt that I could be seen at a civillian practice around here and that the PCS wasnt necessary.(what myself and my husband have tried to explain is that; in 2007 I was seeing a civillian provider; and when the civi doc wanted to do the same surgery i just recived this year; I was denied by tricare on the grounds I could receive this same treatment on a MTF; it was a hellicious battle to say the least which resulted in me getting referred to BAMC in 2008 by DAMC) The Dr. also informed my husbands 1st sgt that he spoke with my provider (without me knowing mind you) and my provider said that I didnt need to be PCS'd. Now I have studied HIPPA; and I dont want to cause unnecessary issue for the sake of my husband; and for some of the men in the unit who have fought to get our PCS packet so far. BUT I am wondering I NEVER under ANY circumstance signed a Consent form that allowed any of these doctors to disscuss my medical information with anyone. Since I am being treated on a Military Treatment Faucility I know they under the federal Government have to abide by HIPPA. If I never signed a consent form; allowing the doctors to talk of my case to anyone other then other Doctors; did my doctor violate my HIPPA rights? Also the Doc at DAMC was NOT my primary care provider; does he even have a say in the matter; and did he break HIPPA by disscussing this with the 1st Sgt; and the Brigade Commander? If they did; what can I do? Note I am not trying to get my husband out of any type of Deployment; hes been deployed twice since being married to me; Being closer to BAMC made it simpler on me to take a cab or bus over there since I do not drive and with my daughter starting school this year; it just made life a lil easier being stationed at Ft. Sam. I know my husband's a soldier; but do my doctors have the right to give out my medical information; A, with out me knowing and B without me signing a consent. I keep a record of everything I sign; i get copies and when I get home I tripletcate them to cover myself. I do apologize its a very confusing situation but any help would be greatly appericiated. Thank you A devoted army wife God bless our troops!I should have stated in the question; when filling out the packet; the command only requested a Memorandum from my PCM at BAMC as to the severity of my glaucoma; I also sent in a copy of the paperwork from my most recent surgery for good measure. They where not asked for; by the Brigade commander; after months of paperwork the 1st Sgt asked for the number to DAMC so they could call the eye clinic here; in which my husband explained that this clinic here was NOT where I was being treated and that they would know nothing as to my medical condition; because DAMC does NOT have a qualified Optho there to even treat me. And Under the regulations for A compassionate PCS; Medical records DO NOT have to be obtained; only proof that the medical condition exists; and that it DOES require special treatment at a certain location; thats what the Memorandum from my PCM was written for in the first place.One last thing guys I am sorry! After more digging I found this; Under AR 614-200 5-16 5–16. Supporting documentation The following documentation will be included (as appropriate) with DA Form 3739 (see fig 5–2). a. Medical problems. A signed statement from the attending physician giving the specific medical diagnosis and prognosis of illness. The statement will include date of onset, past and anticipated periods of hospitalization, period of convalescence, and anticipated life expectancy for terminal cases. The statement will list any other factors that establish the Soldier’s presence as having a bearing on the medical condition. For cases involving reassignment from OCONUS location where medical care for Family members is not available, include documentation from appropriate medical authorities stating that fact (see para 5–15g). So why would the Brigade Commader need my medical records if the Doctor already sent a detailed memorandum? And why did they call the wrong doc? more

He even started smoking and drinking, but he doesn't drink anymore. He just smokes. But when he got to Forks, he met someone even better. Axelle. Chris fell completely in love with her. They were perfect for each other, just like Victoria and him were. People were even jealous of their relationship because it seemed so perfect, and it really was. They barely fought, and they were really close to each other. But then he found out Axelle had cheated on him. Chris was broken hearted. And he had to break up with her. Since then, he doesn't believe in love anymore. Chris has lived in Forks for two years now, so he does have a few friends. He does need more friends though. And he likes to meet new people, so he'll always be nice. He isn't like other guys. He isn't like the guys who will just go out with a girl, use her, then dump her. No. He isn't like that. I am 15 years old and my dad has been an alcoholic ever sinse his father died and that was a year before I was born so I have had to put up with the excessive drinking all my life. My mum finally got the money to move out 2 years ago but his behavior still haunts me. I wish I had more information about the effects on the body because of alcohol and excessive smoking because I am so afraid that he might die. The psycological aspects of growing up with an alcoholic man has really taken it's tole on me and my family. It has always felt like a big family secret all my life so much that my grandad didn't know until we actually moved out, even now I feel so upset and so angry every time I think about him. I can't bring myself to tell my bestfriends. My brothers and sisters don't understand how I feel as I am the youngest and witnessed alot more than them at a younger age and as they abandoned us in the end. I find myself terrified of him when we go visit and he causes a new argument but it is not only with him it's also when other men raise their voice I just don't know what to do because I just don't want to stay like tis forever.
