i just watched a music video of a song i've never heared. sadly it didn't give me the name either. it was of a guy and a girl in a computer lab. each at a computer with a glass wall between them. I'm pretty sure he does i don't even know why Im asking but i guess just to clarify cluttered thoughts. We met about 3 weeks before he was scheduled to move out to NY for 6 months (he is my best guy friends best friend) and definetly hit it off. When he moved, he called and texted regularly and now we are kind of in a long distance thing until he moves back the end of July/aug. We talk almost every day and when we dont he sends me texts like: Thinking of you babe, or miss you baby. Hes actually the one I go to now when I have problems in my life and the other night I had a falling out with all my friends and he called me and I felt soo much better. After the convo he texted me and said: I like you a lot just so you know. And i said ditto, and he said "Im yours night". I couldnt stop smiling! And the next morning when I woke up I saw he sent me the lyrics to "our song", one we both love. All of my friends think I am stupid for waiting for him. But they don't know how it is in my shoes. I know its not serious until he moves back. In fact, he can do anything he wants over there and vice versa but we still have very strong feelings for each other and for some reason I know they arent going away anytime soon. Open Question: Why is my ex bf so angry at me?

Hi everyone, I need some insight regarding my ex bf. A bit over a month he dumped me. He was the one who had chased me for well over 3 months, professed his love and moved cities to be with me. We were together for a year and a half and lived together for 6/7 months. I am 31 and he’s 28. I am pretty sure he is depressed cos he got fired from his job last November and since then ran back to his city and decided things were going well between us. When he first told me I of course tried to fight it and he kept telling me he didn’t know what he wanted. He cried about hurting me. Finally I took the risk and visited him in his city. When I met him we had a wonderful time initially but then had a horrible fight and broke up. I had never seen him that angry ever before – it was scary and it was alcohol fuelled. Since then I haven’t called him once. He spoke to one of my friends about me and asked him how I was doing – that was in the first week after we broke up. He has not once contacted me this past month – not even on Valentines Day :( I emailed him to let him know that he needs to redirect his mail. Then I asked about some money he owes me and we discussed about his stuff that’s still at my place. Everything was cordial. Then I emailed him and apologised about having spoken to his dad – this was before the breakup when I thought his dad needed to intervene to force him to go to therapy. Since I wanted to get it off my chest and explain my actions I emailed him – but he got very emotional and angry and blasted me for having spoken to two of his friends. I told him that I had spoken to them a while back and that the conversation wasn’t always about him – but was a lot about their problems. He was also angry that I still have 10 of his friends on my facebook and I told him to ask them to delete me since he’s so territorial. His friends and family love me and they will never listen to him but. Besides a lot of them, including a cousin of his, added me themselves. My responses to his angry emails were very calm and collected and I also told him that I had accepted the breakup and that it was the best for me. I told him he was being paranoid cos he was using the money as a bargaining chip – he’s scared I will throw all his things away. I assured him I am not vindictive or immature to do that. I know he’s been checking my facebook where I have put up a pleasant front – putting pictures up of my social outings, nice status updates and even a reference to a date I had (very subtly though). He’s been very angry of late and has been snapping at other people as well to the point that his friends have asked him to shut up. Besides he’s drinking as well and that’s adding to his problems. Now yesterday I noticed that he put up the following Michael Buble lyrics on his facebook: I'm not suprised, not everything lasts, I've broken my heart so many times I've stop keeping track, talked myself in.... talked myself out, worked myself up then let myself down!! He of course did as I had predicted and told people who had commented that they were just lyrics he liked. But to me it seems deeper. He seems to be in pain and I wonder if this breakup is something he doesn’t like either. I love him a lot and feel he will come back to me cos we definitely have a connection and I get under his skin a lot. We shared a lovely relationship – of course with fights but far more good memories. And he genuinely loved me. What I wanted to find out from you guys is whether this facebook post has any significance? Also why is so angry and emotional at me if he’s the one who dumped me and I have been very nice when I have contacted him? Is it because he’s angry that I haven’t begged or pleaded him or is he angry cos he’s scared I might move on or cos he sees I am managing fine (of course I am hurting but I won’t show it) or is he regretting his decision and lashing out at me? He's been my best friend for like. 5 years or so. I'm always thinking about him and how i can tell him how i feel. again. I told him once... and he feels the same way. Of the three studio albums that the Jimi Hendrix Experience released, "Are You Experienced?", "Axis: Bold as Love", and "Electric Ladyland", which is your favorite, and why? __________________________________________________________________________________ My favorite is Axis: Bold as Love. I know I'm probably in the minority, this seems to be the least celebrated of their three albums. But, its my favorite for a few reasons. For one thing, it does show Jimi exploring a lot of different musical territory from "Are You Experienced?" When you consider how closely released this was after the first album, you might think that Jimi would have made a similarly sounding album to capitalize on its success, but "Axis" is a very different album than "Are You Experienced?" Its not nearly as heavy, in terms of sound, as the first one, nor is it as experimental. But I think that the stripped down nature of the record really lets the music breathe, let's Jimi's guitar really shine through. Second, is I think that overall it has his best songwriting/lyrics, because to me, compared with "Are You Experienced", and "Electric Ladyland", it just sounds effortless. To me the songs on here are the most beautiful, melodic, and gentle, and he creates such incredible imagery with his lyrics, "Travel by dragonfly", "Clouds overflow with cotton candy", "Butterflies and moonbeams and zebras, that's all she ever thinks about." Amazing. Overall, it may not be as groundbreaking as "Are You Experienced?" or as experimental or creative as "Electric Ladyland", I'll admit that. But it always has struck me as Jimi's most sincere album, and will always be the one closest to my heart. more

Voting Question: Top 5 Bands of the Decade?(and their best song?)?

I have been thinking about this for days and decided to post on yahoo! answers to get some opinions. 1) Radiohead (Best song:Karma Police but since it is from the 90s this is disqualified. Best song from the 2000s: Reckoner) They are soft, somber, yet powerful. Thom Yorke is a mad genius. 2) Muse (Best song: Map of the Problematique although Knights of Cydonia has the best beginning) I was struggling for days whether to put Muse at #1. It was THAT close between Muse and Radiohead. I love Muse's powerful, fast, innovative, grand style. Not too hot on the lyrics though(Reason why they are #2) 3) Arcade Fire (Best song: Neighborhood #1(Tunnels) Best song I have ever heard.) Would have been #1 IF they produced more than 2 albums in a whole decade. Grand and classical, like a choir of angels descending from the Sistine Chapel or something. 4) Modest Mouse (Best song: Spitting Venom) Fun, upbeat, nautical(King Rat, Dashboard, etc.) band. But not too engrossing in my head. 5) Franz Ferdinand (Best song: Auf Achse. Underrated song) Upbeat, great beat and riff, and fast tempo. Also it is a plus that Alex Kapranos' voice sounds like Jim Morrison's of The Doors. (Is it just me?) But borderline #5 now; only reason I put them at #5 is because they introduced me to rock.
